- There is no "h" in Rime. I don't know how that started.

This is the first whole LP I've watched through. I really loved your voice and thought process for the whole video series :P. I grew up playing Myst on our Mac, and I didn't even know there existed a game called RealMYST until yesterday. Thanks dude!
Probably either of 2 things happened:
1.The red/blue pages magically disappeared when the books were destroyed.
2. Atrus destroyed the last pages while on Myst island.
Me too! I tried playing Riven a while back and it hurt my eyes. Unfortunately Cyan Worlds is having a tough time right now financially.
... DAMN IT BILLY SHUT THE DOOR!
really enjoyed this LP. I really like how you explain the thought processes the gamer is supposed to take.
no, Esher built something on top to hold the tablet in that spot. Even if he wanted to put it on the pedestal, it wouldn't work because the island's machines all failed from 200 years of disuse. (the tunnel to raise the column is even bricked up)
I would love to see them redone Riven like Realmyst.
this is so awesome!! it's my first trip to Rime ^_^
thanks so much!!
The bit about Sirrus enjoying Rime is interesting, considering the prison age he ended up in and what he does there in Myst IV. Perhaps Atrus wrote Spire deliberately with Sirrus in mind?
great episode. i love this LP.
the end was funny.
This was 3 years already? wow time really goes by
I don't know weather I want to keep watching or not. I don't want to have Rime spoilled for me, but on the other hand I doubt that I will ever actually be able to play realMYST
i have to save after beating it again once on the windows 95 disc to now steam realmyst that the blue book on the floor on the library floor is on the original.such a great game even now that im older learned some thing i did not know before and all are on the original just learned a lot how to master the game.
I find it interesting that Myst IV: Revelations ties Rime into the Crystal Viewer on Tomahna, as if realMyst was actually canon to the original plot, even though the original didn't have Rime to begin with on Myst.
But I guess that's Ubisoft for ya.
The problem is that the brothers explicitly mention #158 in the QuickTime clips. So even if they randomly generated the pattern, it would be easy to know what to look up.
I heard that the trigger on the save file for the event of the extra book on the floor is "Atruswashere"
The new age better have a jacuzzi.
The book shows you. 'Nuff said.
Well, either approach works fine. You can go with "oh there's a button back there," or you can go with "oh so that's what that button is for". The only thing that matters is to be consistent.
Normally I keep the behind-the-scenes thinking to myself. But you asked.
03:32 I think you clicked the button twice. Good thing the topographical extrusion test can't be deleted! ;)
Wow, I immediately recognized the Rime music as Tim Larkin's music since his style is quite different from Robyn Miller.
Nothing but Riven and Rime.
He's doin exile next
Oh wow! I've owned realmyst for years but never bothered finishing it. i had no idea it had a bonus age! Now I feel stupid
Woah! I never saw the whales. Cool.
That was ood.
@shadyparadox Is it possible to enter the codes for Haven and Spire into the crystal viewer on Rime? I don't have realMYST, so I can't try it myself.
Whenever I finish it, son. Although I always record the video for an entire Age in one sitting for smooth playback, I review each episode for quality assurance.
In other words, I could post more quickly if that was a priority, but I don't think the output would be as good.
Why did Cyan create this 'new age' even though it was never created in the original?
I think a plumber can do really well at this game :)
Yes. They could have easily avoided this by randomly generating the code after the rest of the game was finished. But as it stands, 2735 is always the correct code.
@WorldChallenge Yeah, that's one way to do a speed run.
yeah, and the fireplace code's always the same as well..i kinda wish they'd randomized it too
Who is that at the end of the video?
This age is also available in the EU Nintendo DS version but I don't remember solving all those puzzles to get there. I just went there from the Dunny Age.
I didn't know Atrus was a Black Mage...
do u think you'll do riven after exile?
It's Rime as in thick frost
Rime doesn't have any weird pronounciations, your first attempt was correct. Atrus says the name of the age in Myst IV, so we know how it's properly pronounced.
Rime is pronounced the same as rhyme, and is defined as frost.
@GuardDaos64 Wait. After thinking that through for a few minutes, I realized that doesn't make a difference. :P
Actually it showed a completely different mountain in the original.
@bradhig another company had a project to do that, but they scraped it to make a Riven FPS, whith Gehn's army vs Moiety
Hi (again......)
but do you know when 32 is coming?
So, if you memorized 2735 and did the steps at the beginning of the game, could you still get to Rime?
@bradhig Your wish may soon be true. Look up the Starry Expanse project involving the 3D remake of Riven.
oh yeah..whoops! lol
The "PIN number"? The one you type at the "ATM machine"?
@shadyparadox Well, they could've randomized the book. You know, just put a different code on page 158.
@MasterRickyCherub As a bonus incentive so that suckers like me who already had the original would buy the remake anyway.
How it is supposed the player to imagine that there is a button on the back of the pool?
I like puzzles when they are LOGICAL, when the LOGIC drive me to the solution.
@goatmanvideo82197 Acually that was an april fools joke I fell for. I may be gullible. Thay are making real riven
Hey shadyparadox,
I wasn't trying to bother you i just asked,
so thanks for the response!
Sorry i missed nr. 31 cus i didn't looked very good lol :)
i got myst in psp and it have that same bonus age but i didnt need to do same way. and its not realMYST
I find Rime to be the creepy. Creatures underwater... eerie. :P
9:57
Haha when you get exasperated at the environment and phantom voices is the best
Who shouted "Close the door, you're letting cold air in"? Doesn't happen on my version of the game.
