      Yes, her videos are the best. One tip that I just learned with my new sewing machine is to have two bobbins, one set up with the right tension for elastic and another one for regular sewing. Instead of changing the tension with a screwdriver. It just makes it easier, I think.
      But I am new at this.

    I have a question. Now that summer is here, I like to wear shorts and skorts. But, I often find the legs ride up in the crotch area. Can you perhaps show us how to address this problem? The shorts I have are cotton material, but the skorts are made of the stretchy nylon material. I always feel so embarrassed by how I look and having to tug them down. Thank you for any suggestions or help you can provide!

    • @DowntownTailoring
      @DowntownTailoring  3 года назад +1

      This is a hard one. But I noticed wearing shorts a little bit below our thighs rub each other, helps a lot. Let me know if you try it!

    What would the measurements be for 12 year old girls?

    • @DowntownTailoring
      @DowntownTailoring  3 года назад

      For a 12 years old, start with 2 rectangles 40" by 35" (instead 44 by 37 1/2)".
      For the back collar use instead 3/4" by 4 1/2.
      For front 6 1/2" by 4 1/2".
      And the waistline line mark would be at 13" instead of 14 1/4".
      Then follow all the steps in the same way. This will fit her for all her teenage years!
