    Love it, love it, love it. I really like anything like this piece. As a trombone player in high school I always liked this kind of music because we were able to play more instead of just sitting and counting time. Thank you.

      Thanks! Designed for practicality…thinking of all the wedding gigs I’ve done playing poorly crafted arrangements.

    Honestly. I'm not a big fan of this piece, but you guys still managed to get me to enjoy it! Great job!

      Thanks Dominic, glad you enjoyed the playing :) Just out of curiosity, what in specific about this piece you don't like. Style, structure, harmony? Always find it fascinating how our ears react and recognize sound similar to nose recognizing smell. Some people love the smell of certain perfumes or food while some absolutely hate it :) Appreciate the comment as usual friend!

      @@Matonizz Honestly. I think it's a mix of middle school band trauma and the repetition. I just think there could have been for to it

    If my future bride is up for it I want a brass quintet to play this piece along with an organ at a church

      Absolutely! Keep in mind, you can add to the grandeur with the included keyboard part... And maybe at some point, I'll publish the processional I wrote for my wife to come down the aisle...maybe you'll change your mind. Glad you enjoyed it!!!

    that tuba player isn't doing the right fingerings for some of the notes, it's kinda grinding my gears. he would play the low C as 1 and 2, it's 1 and 3

    • @Matonizz
      @Matonizz  2 года назад +5

      It's a compensating 4 valve Eb tuba, all the fingerings he's doing are correct my friend :) I believe you are thinking about Bb tuba fingerings :)

    An old war horse for sure. I'll Stick with the Canadian Brass and the Empire Brass on this one. Most of the difference was the tightness between musicians which was a little lacking on this performance by you all. I realize it maybe the necessary technical issues of not playing all together closely at the same time compromising your performance from being the best. The Trombone and Horn seemed to have the issue of mis timing the most. Bass player did a fine job most of the time as did the lead playing both parts. I would have liked you playing the trombone part on an English baritone or valve trombone, or the trombonist using a Smaller bore solo trombone for added clarity. Big bore Symphonic trombones have their place but this was not one of them.
