Outcomes be damned. I would watch Tak over and over again. a great strategist and a tremendous sport. Even with the terrain stacked against him he was a champ in my book. Am I the only one who literally cheered when Roboute rose again? My kids thought I lost my mind.
The additional tokens, small visual editing additions, new music and especially the in-game commentary by players add that final polish to make this my favourite PlayOn game to date!
That’s a great idea! I’d love to see a more in depth battle report where I can learn some finer strategic points. I’m an Ultramarine player and rooting for Tak but the Tau are still very strong. Good luck to both generals!

It's cheesy but if you're happy, the rest of the (sane) Warhammer community is happy :) That said, the only good (Ultra)Marine is the one being experimented on by my Drukhari :D
The way Tak played with Nick's mind with saying he might do mistakes and just saying ''mistake two'' and seeing nick's panic on his face, priceless X D
Spent today as Salamanders vs Iron Warriors, we both wound up slugging to Turn 5 because that -1 to AP as a global rule is absolutely a factor. Both of us in previous games often got tabled on turn 2 or so. Sallies get it a bit better cus that replacement to their take on it, the reroll wound block, also can be quite crippling, especially if, say, you rely on reroll 1s to make your big hitter units perform better like oblits/Master of Possession combos that basically are omnipresent in CSM lists right now
@@bait4sale9001 AoC is strictly a boon to the saving throw, reducing whatever the weapon's AP is by 1. I am disappointed in the lack of explosions. Great video though, and a great demonstration of Tau firepower. I wonder how differently it would have gone post-dataslate.
The vibe between Nick and Tak in-game is great. I especially like the tactical commentary by each of them explaining how they think through their plays. Keep it going and thanks guys - very entertaining!

Tau Nick really has the spirit of an Ork player. Watching him get so gleefully excited about all the weapons he was gonna get to use in the second round was like watching a kid on a Christmas morning
Great game, and what an awesome table set up BTW. The layout of the terrain and use of the lighting effects look great. Had to feel awesome to play on.
Great battle and strategy on display here. Love to see Nick's Tau and Tak's Ultramarines are cool too, so this was a pretty dope battle! Still holding out hope to see the Hive Mind put in an appearance on Play on Table Top. Would love to see a Starship Trooper-esque narrative battle or to see Chaos Knights stomping out.
At first I'm afraid with how scary Tau guns are. But since Tak the one take the helms on I believe he can bring down the Tau Post match edit: Tak really really facing an uphill battle, but he showcase ultramarines mindset here, eradicators underperformed but Guilliman really the MVP for the ultramarines
In the Eradicators' defense, Nick was smart enough to target them early. He did his damnednest to take them out ASAP-and for good reason. Total Annihilation, even at reduced Strength, might have still posed a huge threat.
This RUclips is the best for Warhammer battles. No doubt, it’s new user friendly, the outtakes explaining what happened, the added effects and the beautifully painted models. Best of the best
I feel like making the most out of a bad situation is a skill that takes a long time to learn. It was great watching Tak and hearing him walk through what he was thinking. Much appreciated.
this looks so fun to play, I have watched a game but never understood the game, that was around 15 years ago. Thank you all for putting this on youtube.

(I get Taks rationale in that staying put is guarenteed 4 points vs a potential -5 to Nick but the thing I feel he undervalued was there is more at stake there than the points, staying put in the middle gets you those 4 points but your as good as guarenteeing Gulliman dies next turn (3+ to hit then 2+ to basically auto kill with the railgun with rerolls youre on some pretty slim numbers for that NOT to happen ;)

In hindsight it may have taken 5 points away from Nick however as I said in the video, it was a decision made in the moment based on how the game was going. My dice were not great and Guilliman had already failed to kill the Commander earlier in the game. Where I put him I was hoping the only shot Nick would reliability get was the railgun versus charging the Hammerhead, failing to kill it, and then becoming exposed to all the other T'au guns and not scoring any points. Ehhh. AOC’s biggest help it provides is when you can sit in cover, something that’s not really in this table.
