This game was utterly bonkers. Rolls were crazy and surprising, players were hilarious, sportsmanship was top notch. The hallmarks of a perfect game, really. Unkillable Vespid and Fist Captain need some kind of special model treatment so we remember their heroic deeds :D
Nic: "A giant elite unit is beating up on a grandpa?" Tak: "Yes!" Nic: "With a walking stick?" Tak: "Yes!" Nic: "That has no gun!" Tak: "They're very proud of themselves!" 😂😂😂😂😂😂
One of the greatest battle reports I have ever seen! The early lead, the tying up, the command re-roll and the HERO vespid, the tactics, the ridiculous number of hits both in melee and in ranged by both armies, how extremely close it was! Just awesome in every way! Congratulations to both players and the channel, truly
Nick may be a T’au man, but he has such ork sensibilities. He doesn’t care if he’s winning or losing, he just cares that the battle is cool. And he likes it when things blow up.
Technically, his stratagem was called red rampage. The Blood Angel thinking everyone is Horus it’s called black rage. So the meme doesn’t really work here
That was the best match I have seen for a long time. I love the aggressive Tau! Short range salvos from breachers is just so satisfying. Who needs a knife if you have a shotgun... Anywho, a genuinely fun game.
The world is your oyster for converting gue'vesa. RUclips is your friend. For arms: T'au arms will work wholesale (T'au and Guard torsos are the same width, so you won't have any issue getting the arms to line up right), but they only have four fingers. If you want to use those, you'll have to add Green Stuff for the wider hands and pinkies. If you don't want to do that, you're gonna need to cut up some guns. Trim around and hollow out the left hands, take all but the stock and trigger guard off the right arm. For T'au guns, take everything but the stock and trigger guard, take off left hands as needed. Pulse Blasters don't have this problem, but one of the rifle sculpts and some of the carbines do. As for bodies: some people just use Guard torsos and legs wholesale and stick T'au bits on them, which is what it looks like Nick did here after removing the Guard web gear. Some people use Necromunda Van Saar or Palanite Enforcer kits, though be aware: those have broader chests so if you're using 40k arms, you may run into issues getting the hands to line up. You can use T'au torsos on Guard legs, but like I said: Guard bodies have web gear molded in. You'll need to trim and file down the T'au torso at the belt. What I plan on doing for mine is cutting up old Cadian lasguns for the hands, using T'au torsos and sticking them on 3D printed legs. Mad Robot Miniatures has a bunch. Also gonna add some Catachan arms to the Pathfinders for some flavor.
Only just starting the video, but I really appreciate seeing the army list in text like this, haven’t noticed it in other videos but I hope that sticks around!
It was great to meet JT at Cascade Clash in Mount Vernon over the weekend! I’ll definitely have to keep my eye out for any other Play On Tabletop members at future events.
I love seeing absolute wombo-combos come together to make for unbelievable amounts of shots/wounds, its so fun to watch. Nicks Tau are a favorite of mine to watch and I always root for him (dont tell the emperor). Stellar game as always guys keep it up
the music you use in your videos is realy nice - editing in general is top notch on your channel. Normaly, battlereports are a bit too boring to watch fully, but yours are a cineastic experience
As a massive Tau fan I still *love* the idea of Power Fist Captain shattering the suit cockpit with lightning fast punches to rip out the human traitor inside. That’s Cinema.
This was awesome! Rufio: DEATH COMPANY!!! Natalie: i really wish we could make it over from Victoria. Just too many accessibility barriers. Playing from a mobility scooter and having to be masked up, because blood cancer, can make the hobby really awkward. We all LOVE the effort put into your videos!
Nick played kauyon? The right way? AND WON?! FINALLY IVE WAITED SO LONG FOR THIS MOMENT. Also, does nick remember that you dont have to declare all "For The Greater Good" targets before shooting? Could use just the breachers to kill the assault intercessors and then shoot something else with crisis suits
As someone who plays salamanders and blood angles....its a good time to be a space marine 😊 (Looks back at 9th eddition with contempt, but no armour) (don't forget death company have 6+ feel no pains)
A Terminator Librarian leading 10 lightning claw Assault Terminators is terrifying, doubly so when you give the Librarian the Fights First enhancement.
“On a dark and dreadful night, Dante and his Blood Angels scour the area, but their search is halted by a squad of the T’au Empire’s mighty soldiers lead by Shadowsun, their dislike for each other shows that these 2 sides are out for blood as they engage in a fierce battle, suffering heavy losses on both sides, even Dante was heavily wounded by Shadow Sun early on, but the Blood Angels do not relent till the T’au Empire’s forces reduce them to very few, including a Dreadnaught that they were forced to cease fire and retreat, with a victory for the T’au Empire, Shadowsun reports the good news while awaiting for the next mission.”
I have no clue what’s going, one second im watching space marines 2 videos, the next im watching lore on the emperor of mankind and now im watching some table top game that i do not understand the slightest but i do find entertaining.
That is so embarrassing. Blood Angels is being out fought by freaking Tau, but it was a really good match. Nick is always fun to watch. Taak, I always root for you. That was an insane game, my dude.
Dang! Those dice were crazy! I can't believe that Nick Command Re-rolled looking for a 6 and got it, then followed it up with 2 more 6's for the hit and wound roll. But it was totally capped off with the save roll of a 1. LOL
Small rules thing: When the Lonespear was Fighting those Termies with the Rampagers, I think Nick rerolled the hits for the Lonespear as well, but Lonespear can't give itself rerolls to hit, only other models. 2 Lonespears can give *each other* the rerolls though.
"the story of a single vespid... That even afther seing his whole squad reduced to a blood splatter in the ground by the monstruos imperial Dreadnought... He allowed himself to die."
That Vespid deserves a name. I vote for Buggs Lightyear.
I love it.
A vespid that actually drew blood to a dreadnought. Solo.
Truly GOATed
Buggs Lightyear also gets my vote!
Buggs Lightyear...To The RESCUE!!!
votes over. Bugz Lightyear it is.
That vespid is definitely gonna be inducted in Tau legend.
Of this game's many highlights, Tak's Captain going Star Platinum and delivering several dozen hits with his power fist had to be my favorite
ora ora ora ora!!!! FOR THE EMPEROAH!!!

Blood angels captain goes hard. He can just spike and kill stuff way above his weight class

23 hits, yep that captain succumbed to the black rage. He is part of the death company now.
Horuuuuuuuuus!
That Dreadnought vs Vespid moment was ridiculous. 😂

Nick is a baller... godd damnnn. Command reroll the 6?!? Dear sweet lord.
My blood angels friend won't play with me anymore cause I keep calling the Sanguinor the Sanguinator
AHhhh... Perry the Platypus...
21:15 if you aren’t a nick super fan after watching something like that what are you even doing anymore. That joy is fantastic to watch.
He's the type of opponent we'd all love to have!
I agree. Makes it so enjoyable to watch
I like that he’s just as excited about awesome plays that go against him than for.

"Does this move, no it doesn't" HAHA the sadness in Nicks voice
Who doesn't like articulating models! It makes things so much more fun and immersive! I can relate with Nicks sadness

I’m new to watching these videos and have only seen a handful, but Nick has won in all 3 videos I’ve seen him play. Dude is wild
You haven’t watched many of our videos then ;)
For the love of god, give that Captain the Star Platinum Star fist paint scheme. You’re basically required to after that insane amount of attacks.
I hope Nick never changes.
Seeing Nick using Gue’vesa as breachers warms my poor heretic heart.
Anyone got tips for Kitbashing human helpers for the t’au?

I converted Guevesa breachers using a cadian kit.
If you don't mind using non GW models, Stargrave, especially Stargrave Troopers, make an amazing and cheap kitbash option for guevesa parts.
Love seeing Nick play even more
23:20 The music is AWESOME!!!🎉🎉❤
Just here to say: You guys are still the absolute No.1 of Warhammer games on YT! Amazing as always

That vespid wounding the redemptor in melee and living, has the same energy as my Guardsman wounding a Hellbrute with a lasgun. You love to see it.

Fantastic episode. Always love nicks energy
This was a great battle report. I need to start building my breachers as they can really pump out some damage
God I love breachers! Best unit in the codex, most wounds I’ve gotten with them on a squad of marines is 46. Their damage is insane
