    Thanks! I'm not sure what brand it is, it came on the bike when I bought it from the first owner at the 5300 mile mark.

    Are u in Cali? Do the cops give u any crap about how load it is? I just got a new 14 r1. I wanna go with your exhaust set up. Best sound video I have found on RUclips. Your r1 sounds insane and looks bad bro. Keep it up.

      Hey bud, thanks for the look and congrats on the 2014!!! You won't be more pleased going with this set up, the toce pipes with the akrapovic y-pipe makes the perfect combo. You will get the sound you're looking for plus a good power increase. I live in Missouri, and I never did have problems getting pulled over. Just make sure you aren't rapping it out in the middle of town or bouncing it off redline at the stoplight and you'll be fine lol. But if you are worried, you can always leave the baffles in. If you're wanting to turn heads and snap some necks then I would take the baffles out.

    You still ride sport bikes? I see you are from Kentucky. Always looking for new people to ride with.

    I have them on my 07 with the y pipe also but I got my ecu flashed and did many other mods to increase the hp but honestly I'm already tired of them..been having them on my bike for 25k miles and modified the baffles to reduced the sound even more. But just today I repacked the baffles again didn't put the mod I engineered and its obnoxious loud, great if you just ride your bike around town but I commute on it out 10k+ a year on it and I've had enough.. They do get lots of compliments tho

      My thoughts exactly. Love the look but way too loud. May as well be straight pipes

    Hey man! I have the same exhaust set up as you on a 04 r1. Do you have a power commander on it also? Been thinking about removing the baffles. Your bike sounds great btw.

    • @jonathanloganbill471
      @jonathanloganbill471  9 лет назад +3

      No I didn't put the power commander 5 on it, I just did the akrapovic y-pipe, this is where you are going to get your big power increase and much better sound from. When I took off the stock y-pipe I noticed it didn't have only one cat in it, but it had two of them. Replacing it with the akrapovic is going to get rid of both of those cats and get you better air flow which is going to give you much better throttle response, more power, and that is what is going to get your bike throwing those flames like an animal. You will notice the power increase right off the bat as well.

      Gotcha. I have noticed a significant power increase. Next I'm going to remove the baffles. Your bike sounds rediculous:)

      @jonathanloganbill471  9 лет назад +1

      Thanks again man, toce did an amazing job figuring out how to bring that sound out of these Yamaha's. Removing those 4 baffles is going to turn your bike into a monster. When you rev your bike up towards redline, it seriously almost sounds like an F1 car. I'm glad you will get to experience the sound in person, because the video doesn't even come close to bringing it justice!

    Finally got the toce quads, left the baffles in because without them what did you do about the open holes left from the studs from the baffles, did you plug them with something because if not that has to be a serious exhaust leak from those open holes

    Do you think the Akrapovic Y-pipe makes any difference than the one that comes with the bike on the sound ? (I have the same bike and exhaust, just don't have the Akrapovic Y-pipe and still with baffles, but I want to take them off)

    • @BoxingLegends2024

    what do yu have to do for it to shoot flames like that.. i have the same exhaust on a 2013 R1 n took the baffles out ,sounds ridiculous, still have the mid pipes tho n no power commander or anything ...

      If you don't cancel the cat there's no way you'll see any sort of afterburn.

    Why it is so loud and hard sound? Like there is not exhaust at all. I think to buy my bike this toce exhaus but is it really that loud or did u do something else?

    • @BoxingLegends2024
      @BoxingLegends2024 4 месяца назад +1

      Without baffles, sounds insane in person. I'm glad I went with Toce, looks amazing and the sound is mean! Definitely worth the money.

  • @JRoth305
    @JRoth305 9 лет назад

    Will it still shoot flames with the baffles in the exhaust? Do you know?

    • @jonathanloganbill471
      @jonathanloganbill471  9 лет назад +1

      Yes it still shot flames, but I ended up taking them out just to see what the sound difference was and when I did that I noticed that the cheap packing they used and had slightly been soldered and the strange tape they had used to wrap the packing around the baffles had melted. I'm guessing the tape was what caused it to turn black and look like it was burned slightly. But once I took the baffles out and heard the sound I couldn't put them back in lol, it sounded too good.
