    Oh noooo. That’s a little sad that you didn’t get a five star. I hope you got one soon after.
    I hadn’t heard of Keepers of Enchanted Rooms and now I’m super interested despite it not being a five star. The concept seems so interesting. I love these types of vlogs!

      I would be interested in your thoughts on Keepers of Enchanted Rooms. It really didn't live up to what I thought it would be. I think it was really interesting though. I did end up eventually getting a 5 star, but it took a while. 🤣

    As somebody who also doesn't give many 5*, I'm looking forward to part 56 :) Interesting what you said about not always looking forward to picking up Night Film, yet enjoying it when you did. That was my experience, and it's also a 5 star deal breaker for me. The use of magic without giving a glimpse of what is possible in Gogmagog would definitely put me off. It feels like a cheat and I'd lose confidence in the writer not to pull the same stunt to solve problems in the future. I like the idea that Engines of Chaos creates more questions to keep the mystery going, but I agree that you need some answers in the meantime. I love the TV show Lost, though it fell into this trap now and again. I hope you find a 5 star soon.

      Oh no! A Part 56 would kill me! 🤣 Ya, I'm not sure if Night Film had some lulls in it where I just wasn't motivated to continue the story or if it was just my mood at the time of reading it. In the end it was a great book, just not a 5 star.
      Gogmagog definitely has the bones to be an all time favorite. I just think it needed a lot more polishing. I need definition to the magic system so it doesn't feel so convenient. I'll finish the duology as I want to know what happens, but I don't have faith that the authors are going to define much more on that front.
      I agree that creating more questions along the way is a great way to keep up intrigue and pacing, however I feel like I have a pile of questions now. 🤣 I enjoyed Lost until the end, then it kind of made me mad. I can see the comparison though as far as unanswered questions.
      I hope I find a 5 star soon as well! Thanks for watching!!!

    Gogmagog is going on my tbr right away! I've never even heard of that one, but it sounds so weird and I'm curious. You’re also convincing me to check out Night Film 👀 I know you’ll find your next 5 star read eventually 😂

      I would love to hear your thoughts when you get to Gogmagog Alicia. It was such a unique premise. I think you are going to love Night Film! It was such a fun time. Eventually a 5 star will appear. 🤣I just hope I don't have to wait too long.

    I have owned night film for a few years now and keep putting it off because it seems so daunting- but your review makes me want to get to it sooner!

      Yes! I think you will really enjoy it Rainy. Maybe not a book for June though. I thought the mixed media component was really interesting and it definitely had me tricked a few times in the plot. I hope you love it!

      It was interesting. A very unique concept. I just wish it had been a little more detail oriented. I will continue on with the duology though. I need to know what happens!

    Hi Danni, is Gogmagog too much? It sounds so interesting, but almost too complex. I love character building. 🤷‍♀️
    Im not into mixed media, thankfully every book isn't going on my tbr.
    Somehow, my type of books are 3.5 to 4.5 🌟 except for Kings of the Wyld 😉 5 🌟 Typically my favs are fun series. I love staying with characters for a long time.
    I love the vlog, longer is better ♥

    • @Danni.Dabbles
      @Danni.Dabbles  2 месяца назад

      I think Gogmagog could have benefitted from being longer as the author creates such a vast world around this river, but not a lot of it is explored.
      I also enjoy staying with characters for a long while. It allows you to grow attached. 😊
      Thanks for watching Lynn! I appreciate it!

    It took me an entire year to get through Keeper of Enchanted Rooms. It started out so strong and then it became so boring. The romance was weak, the characters unlikable, and I was baffled as to how it hooked me so early and ended up making me so incredibly bored and underwhelmed 😑

    • @Danni.Dabbles
      @Danni.Dabbles  Месяц назад +1

      I was definitely disappointed. The beginning was very fast paced and shocking. If only it had stayed that way. The two stories definitely felt disjointed. One was light and fluffy and the other dark and boding, but the story didn't do well to patch them together.
