  • This 2006 Freightliner was originally a S.W.A.T. van built for Homeland Security. We converted to a van life rig in 2018 complete with shower, 8000 watt generator and 480 watt solar system. Music by Bensound.com.

Really nice rig, a lot of fresh innovation. I like those non slide (non pocket) doors.

All that space and no toilet. Defeats the whole stealth idea if you have to keep getting out to use the bathroom. Say its 2am and you need the toilet. Your cover is blown getting out in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. And that was a seriously budget shower. Looks like a large canister in there to pump water. But it looks nice inside. Hope the weight is distributed evenly inside. It looked a little off to me. But enjoy.

This looks like it was a mobile command center. I wondered how well they're suited to be made into tiny homes.

Nice build suggestion remove or tone down the music and add in some captions for what each step of the process is that is being shown.

I like step vans and yours is one of the nicest ones Ive seen, wish we had them in Australia. No toilet? I could not consider my build complete without one. I noticed you shaved back the ceiling insulation to the supporting beams which means a lot of thermal bridging of heat from the roof into the space, can your Ac handle it? I have no thermal bridging and still struggle to cool the space when its really hot.

What did you pay for your truck? Where did you buy it? I ask because usually a 2006 has a lot more miles than that...

Nice. Especially the plumbing. Or lack of it. The sink water is just those things you put on water coolers and the "gray tank" under the shower is also easy to manage. How insulated is it though? Does it get too hot if its parked directly under the sun? It has a lot of room. I think 2 inches of insulation won't hurt the space that much.
