Please don’t ever take this video down!! I come back to it about twice a year to cut my own hair because I can’t find someone who will cut it the way I want. When I follow this tutorial, I get complimented constantly on my hair and just feel so confident. I’ve used this tutorial about 10 times now. Twice a year for the last 5 years. I’m so grateful for it. You are amazing!!! ♥️
I just finished cutting my hair using your tutorial for the 6th time. It's perfection. Flawless every single time. I am so sick of coming back here every time I use the tutorial to see negativity and smug, condescending comments from stylists. The reason why we come to RUclips to find pointers to cut our own hair isn't because we are cheap. We do it because we can't find a damn stylist who will LISTEN to us. I know you went to school and have expensive shears, but if I tell you I want shorter layers LISTEN. TO. ME. Close your mouth and listen. This is what I've wanted for years, and couldn't find a damn stylist to listen. And guess what. It looks great. I get so many compliments on my hair now. So please stop telling people what they want. They come in with an idea, and all you need do is execute it.
Thank you Gena! - Hairdressers DON'T listen. It needed to be said. In my town for the last few years, the 3 closest hairdressers to me have cut ALL layered medium and long hair in the same godawful way. To me it looks like a normal long layered cut, but with an additional wig of a BOB plonked on top! I ask for it to be ROUNDED at the back (think "Gabby Solis" - *NICE hair*) and they say "Yes, I know exactly what you mean"; and I motion to them rounded UNDER, not rounded OVER (as in a bob) and they still insist they know what I mean. Then it looks gorgeous. From the front ONLY! And *horrible* from the back. They cut the shortest layers way too short AGAIN, and do an OVER curve instead of an UNDER curve - again. And they cut the bottom straight across, instead of rounded under. It's because it's considered the fashion, so they're used to cutting it that way. Stuff what the customer wants, and the result is; - all the women with medium-long layered hair look the same from the back; - *SHIT hair*! It drives me crazy.
Same thing I thought! it isn't that we are cheap to get a hair cut.I avoid salons because stylist won't listen and most go ✂️ crazy on my long hair. I had my hair almost to my butt and I went to a salon to get layers and I came out with my hair just a little bit past my shoulders I was so mad I cried ! Never again !
Haha I'm here because I AM too cheap for a stylist. I have a newborn and my brother lives with me now and my husband and I are doing all this without any assistance from anyone. Ik cheap because I have to be IDC what an actual stylist says . They didn't give me hair so they can't tell me how to take care of it. But yes I am cheap and proud of it. I'd rather cut my own hair and my child go to a salon than the other way around
Thank you! I've had my hair cut 4 times and I told them I wanted short layers and every time I get home my layers are always still way too long. Best hairstyles I've ever had were done by moi because the stylist wouldn't give me what I asked for.
I have the opposite problem. They never take enough of the weight out of my very thick hair to give me volume. It's like they can't imagine anyone wanting to thin it out.
I have long hair and had completely fried ends from heat and over dying! I never trust hair dressers since they cut way too much and decided to watch your video for help... best decision ever! I washed my hair and followed your exact steps. I trimmed off 3 inches and now it looks so healthy and even! Thank you so much!
This is the ONLY video I use as reference to cutt my hair and it comes out beautiful every time. You instill so much confidence through tho turtorial I feel like a stylist at work. Thankyou for the most informative and clear directive long hair cutting video yet!!! Helping all the girls slay at home :)
This is the greatest video in the entire world on how to cut layers into your hair. I've used it 3 times to cut my hair & I'll be lost if it ever gets taken down. Great job!!! 💗
I have been using this video to cut my hair for a couple years now. I wanted to thank you! I'm a single mom and if it weren't for this, I wouldn't get my hair cut at all! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the way my hair looks when I am done cutting it using your tutorial. So VERY much appreciated!
I know you have several more recent hair cutting videos, but I have used this one for the past 7 years! I’ve also done the other older one (the one that’s 6 years old) a few times, but this will always be my go to! Haven’t been to a salon in over a decade! Every year I chop off about 8 inches and follow this video for my layers. Just wanted you to know it’s still appreciated! Thanks again!
You did a good job with your point cutting technique, using the correct tools, hair parting and cutting terminology in your video. It's clear you have done your research and homework.
OMG! I LOVE YOU! i Actually cried watching this video. I have very long hair (like yours) and I wanted long layers with shorter bangs. Stupid stylists have always told me I can't do that because it will thin out my hair at the bottom too much. So, i always let them cut the length to get shorter on top. NOW I SEE THAT WHAT I WANTED ALL ALONG IS POSSIBLE AND I WILL NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER LET ANYONE CUT MY HAIR AGAIN! This video ends a 10 year nightmare with stylists here in Oregon and NONE of them know what the hell they are doing. Seriously, I LOVE YOU! THANK YOU!!!
Second time cutting with this tutorial and it truly is BOMB. Best haircuts I've ever had! Thanks for making this for us long haired girls who hate the salon 🙅🏻
I cut my hair for the first time ever after watching your video and absolutely love it... its so incredible how easy it actually is. Now I can walk ard with light and gorgeous layered hair which suits my natural curls. And save the annoyance at stylists who keep saying that what I want could not be done! Thank you for the video, you're the best!
This is THEE video I swear by!! I have tried other artists and my wavy hair is always so sad, dull, and sheds. This way of cutting and trimming always brings my hair back to life! It stays full and luscious! Ive been coming back to this video for about 9 years now and will always come back to it!
I just finished cutting my hair using your video step by step, blow dried it and voila!!! it looks like yours. I'm no longer jealous... lol!!! thank you very much!
I tried the "ponytail" technique and it made my hair so choppy. I followed this video and cleaned everything up. My hair looks so much better. Thank you!
Okay so I've been using your tutorial for YEARS! And I'm not sure if you knew this but this is actually a great process for when your growing out your hair. I've done several big chops and when I start growing it back out your tutorial makes it look so great at any length
Thank you so much for this video! I'm famous for cutting my own hair because no hair stylist I've ever found will do anything but cut layers in the bottom of my hair and I want layers throughout! That's the only way to get fine hair to have body and flow and be able to do stuff to it! I often ask for more layers higher up, and their solution is ALWAYS to cut more length off my hair so it blends, then I wind up with hair 6 inches shorter , to my chin and a really -- short-- cut. I see people with the long layers all the time, (so apparently anyone but any stylist I've found can do it.) .. so I take pictures and I've even shown the pictures of the layers and they still cut something completely different... with no layers! (Heck.. I've even shown a hair stylist who actually gave me a great cut a pic of what they did last time .. and even they can not repeat it!) ... Well, I just went to some swanky penthouse salon and the guy the gave me too was apparently a stylist on America's Top Model... (I think I know why he was only on one season.) I showed him a very clear photo of a girl with long layers.. you could clearly see all the layers.. and all he did was cut length off the bottom.. no layers except for about half an inch from the bottom. When I kept asking, I could see he was getting a complex so I though: the HHHH with it.. I'll just go home and put my own layers in like I always do. It winds up choppy and you can see where I cut it but at least it does what I want once I get the styling stuff out and I can hide the bad uneven parts~! This time, I was so bugged, I thought about going to a second salon and re paying someone to put layers in.. but instead I came home and thought.. hey.. everything is on youtube... I wonder if there is a video on cutting y our own hair.. I found yours.. and followed you step by step and even though I have shoulder length hair.. (not near as long as yours) it turned out great! It looks professionally done.. all even and everything! I feel I don't ever want to go to a hair salon again, except maybe for color... .. it's so not worth it ...and that salon was very expensive! ( I tipped him well.. and acted like the hair was great... even though he did a truly awful job, but I will absolutely not go back! ) Anyhow! Thank you so very much for your very clear step by step, wonderful video!!
my hair is long like yours but thin, & no one here in knoxville knows how to cut long hair. i will give this a try, cross fingers, this is the best video i have seen. thank you.
6 years ago I found your video and used it many times to cut my hair - I loved it! I wound up finding a hairstylist who was amazing at cutting my hair. Now 4 years since then, during this quarantine, I need my hair cut. Thank GOD I found your video again!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE LOVE LOVE your video. This is the second time I use it. By cutting iff dead ends, my hair immediately comes alive again. THANK YOU! Bless YOU!
Tried this technique for the second time now and mashaalah love it.thank you for thoroughly explaining all the steps, was very helpful and beneficial.Took me forever to do it but thats just because I was being super careful coz did not want to mess up.
please NEVER delete this video I am a Beauty School graduate and new mommy but this video always seems to help me when I need a quick touch up trim on my layers and angels. Thank You Thank You Thank You!! xoxox
I've been using this video for years. It started with me being BROKE... lol... so I started cutting and dyeing my hair myself. I love this video. My hair looks great every time, but boy is it a hassle to do!! I'm making good money now, but I'm still using this video, despite the hassle. It gives you great control on how much you want to cut, and how much shorter you want your layers. I also have curly hair, and it works for me as long as I keep my hair pretty wet. This comment is for anybody considering this video to do your own hair. This video is awesome.
Just like many others here, I haven't found an ideal stylist for me since moving from my last home. Whether it's color or cut, it's never what I asked for. So, I got sick of wasting time and money and decided to look here for help. I'm so glad you posted this video. I have really thick and long hair. I did just recently color it a deep Auburn and decided I needed to layer my hair to lighten it up since its been a while since my last stylist disappointment. I'm so glad I gave this tutorial a go and amazed at the outcome! Thanks to you, I can forget about looking for a stylist and having to worry if their work is up to my standards. I love you forever! Thank you so much for sharing!
I'm grateful for people like you Farahdhukai. Posting up videos like this allows me to cut my hair the way I want it. Every time I go to a salon they don't listen to me and don't layer it the way I ask. I've used your video many times to help remind me how to do it again. Much love, and I'm glad you spoke up to that person.
I just got done cutting my hair...yet again using your video. I have long hair just like yours and have cut it using your video for years now and ALWAYS get compliments. I always struggled growing up and going to salons. My layers were always horrible and they never blended them. I would go home crying, but it has always been a struggle. I haven't gotten my hair done since I came across your channel. Your videos are life changing! THANK YOU!!!
This totally worked! Thank you soo so much! My hair feels fresh, light, and it looks like I just came from the salon. :) aaaaahhhh... Saved on a $50 cut woot woot!
I've been using this tutorial for the past two years to trim my hair and make it longer and I get compliments on it all the time! People absolutely love my hair and it's my favorite part of myself. Thanks so much girl!
I have to say this is THE best hair cutting tutorial on RUclips. You know what your doing and cut your hair professionally. I have saved SO much money because of this. I mean just for a normal wet cut and dry it's £40-£50! I can do it for free now I have some decent scissors! Thanks Farah! Xxx
the link to the video that shows in your videos on HOW TO CUT YOUR BANGS.... you have it SET TO PRIVATE & the link on how to BLOW DRY YOUR HAIR is not CLICKABLE :-(
Thank you SO much for posting this!!! Tonight I cut my own hair for the third time and finally have the layers I've never been able to get at a salon. You're a lifesaver.
if you are so upset at this video because youre "losing business" then dont you think you should stop commenting on my video 8 thousand times, get off youtube, and get to WORK?! Please stop commenting on my video with your unattractive attitude, go to your salon, put a smile on your face and build your OWN clientele. If you are a wonderful person then people will keep coming back regardless. I am in no way trying to take away anyones business, just teaching people what i do at home.
You just totally save my hair from every future possible butcher! You have no idea of how grateful I am!!! Three years with bad experiences trying to get this haircut and you have just done it perfectly in fifteen minutes!!! OMG :D I´M SO HAPPY!!! :D THANKS
I succeeded with my haircut at the third time. If anyone struggles with grabbing hair while cutting, get the haircut clips!! First attempt, had no idea what I am doing just busy following instructions with awkward finger grips...result was some part was too short some part was too long and made all the mess in my bathroom. second time, started understanding how the layer works, but the hair kept slip out of my fingers, ok result. While I wait for the hair to grow, i got the haircut guide clips. And today with my third attempt, I used the haircut clips it really help to grap my hair accurately, also I had a better understanding how much I want to cut. And I finally got the satisfying result! Thanks for sharing. This is on my favourite video list.
As soon as my kids are asleep I'm trying this. I always ask for these kind of layers when I get a professional to do it and they always just do whatever the hell they want, so what have I got to lose :-D
I couldn't afford a haircut so I looked up a diy, and girrrrlllll you are so thorough and informative. I tried it today and I was so scared but just like Randomgirl188, I did it along with your tutorial and it came out great. Thank you so much for posting this. You saved me a lot of money - money that I could put towards my two little girls! I am so happy!
Lol I know people who can't grown long hair at all mine is not the case I cut my own hair as well and its down past my butt just six months ago I cut off 7 inches it grew back in less then 4 months
omg i just did it step by step... ur hair must be even at the first place because sometime i found my hair already shorter than the guide!! anyways, my PERSONAL result was horrible and mom is gonna kill me and feed me to the neighborhood dogs.
My hair has never looked so good. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I'm not a hairdresser, but I've been cutting my hair for over 20 yrs, in between going to the hairdressers. I have long, 5" passed my shoulders, extremely fine color treated hair. I've asked for long layers for so long at the hair dressers and never received anything like this. You made me feel beautiful, sexy. I cut as per your instructions back in May & did a lil trim since then & I'm so very happy.
I have followed this video to create layers a few months ago. Since I didn't already have layers my hair on the right was a bit shorter than the left. not sure where I went wrong but it really was not noticeable, thankfully. It's been a couple months and I used this video again to trim up my layers. It worked great and my hair is even unlike last time. This is a wonderful tutorial. Thank you. Watch the video and do everything she says and you should be alright. The first time I tried it I messed up but no one noticed, I actually got a ton of compliments from strangers.
Thank you for this video! Haha I was doing it with my hair wet and the entire time I was just thinking, "wow i'm really fucking this up" but when it dried it looked great.
This is THE best my hair has ever been cut! These hair stylists could never get this style right on me, and finally I took the chance with your tutorial and I've never been happier! OMG ur the best!!
I just followed your steps and it workes. Everyone compliments me for my haircut, but no one knows I did it my self. Thank you sooo much for this video!
Does your hair fall out a lot? I find that the longer mine gets (it's middle of my back now), the more it falls out when I shower or comb it .. or even run my hands through it. It's not clumps, but just random stands.
my hair is on my lower back and it falls out A LOT when the seasons change (around March) and then normal amounts thereafter... i think with long hair it sometimes just looks like a lot because it's long, but in terms of volume it's probably the same as most people. :)
I do a cool or tepid (not cold) water rinse after conditioning. Occasionally (more often in summer) I do a coconut oil "treatment" - basically take some extra virgin cold pressed coconut oil (the same I cook with) and apply from about neck length to the tips, then braid & wash the next morning.
Omg, don't think I am smart enough to do this. I have long hair and have asked my stylist to give me shorter layers but she won't or doesn't know how. So frustrating
I had never cut my own hair before so I was searching for a good tutorial and found this video. Im not so dexterous and I was scared to cut my own hair. BUT Farah your video gave me confidence! Just done with cutting my hair and it has turned out beautiful! Thanks a ton! You saved me at least £30 for sure :) ! Keep it up girl
so i definitely just cut my own hair for the very first time using this video and it worked PERFECTLY. seriously, i was so nervous going into it, but it was explained really well and clearly. i even started getting kind of lazy and stop being such a perfectionist towards the end, and it still turned out well. thank you!!!
Did this haircut and I really love it. Thanks so much for a great tutorial! You have amazing hair!! Here is a pic: www.pinterest.com/pin/456130268483425974/ I linked your tutorial in my description, too.
Wow, I saw the pic. I did it and it came out awful. I have a lot of hair. It is wavy, dry, thick and frizzy. It did not come out nice. I had very bad ends as well. I hadn't cut my hair in like a year.
elisabethsosa78 I have very thick and wavy hair. I tried this cut on my dry, well straightened hair and the result was really beautiful. maybe you can try on dry, straightened hair too.
If you're talking about the scissors with the weird ridges (sorry idk how else to describe it) then the salon ladies use that a lot especially to help create "shaggy layers" (that's what I usually ask for)
you're right, she's using thinning shears, and not for the right reason. they're supposed to take out bulk in the hair and get rid of those gross shelves you see in hair. they're not supposed to help cut the hair in any way at all, just take out the bulk
Replying to a year-old comment for posterity's sake. I use thinning scissors to do this cut on myself because it saves the effort of point-cutting. No hard edges at all.
Wow, she is the BEST hair stylist. I swear by this video!!!! I was always wondering how can I get Kim Kadashian layers, and never be able to tell any paid stylist at any hair salon. You are the best, please do not remove this video. It is my first time and my hair is not as long as her, but I got a great result already. Thanks so much!!!!!
i just used your tutorial step by step and i'm going to blow dry my new hair straight away... wish me luck and thanks! it's almost ten years that i cut my own hair, but without any scientific notion ;) i found it really useful!!!
Wow! RUclips just recommended me this video and THANK GOD it did because I have been looking for FOREVERRRR on how to cut my hair back in layers myself!!! Your hair looks soooo good! I used to have this hairstyle when I was younger and my aunt always did it for me. She taught me how to do it but i always found it so difficult to do it on myself. I also have a different technique that I use but it doesnt look like this one. And ever since I moved (couple of years ago), I don't trust other people with my hair. THANK you so much for posting this!! I will be cutting my hair like this tomorrow. Your hair looks amazing! Thanks! :-)
Just followed your method! It toook forever to do! a good hour at least! but it looks good :-) I had my hair already cut in layers before, so it does not look TOO different but I do see some difference :) Thanks for the tutorial! I also always cut my own hair, so I have some experience with it.. However, I wouldn't really advice someone who has never cut their own hair to try this technique, as it could go a bit wrong if not done correctly. Success to everyone!
No frizz for my layered curls. It is all on your styling techniques. Always use your styling products when hair is wet. Air dry or blow dry with COOL setting not hot air. Flip hair back and forth for volume while scrunching. Use a defusor if possible. Use foxy curls from bed head and Sammy curl constructor. Use small amounts on both products! A couple pumps goes a long way. Don't over do it because it will make your curls hard & weighed down. The trick is using cold air to dry to reduce frizz. I like to reinforce my stubborn curls when hair is 70% dry with a curly iron for extra flawless look!
I had a little less than your length in this video when I first began this DIY today, I loooooooved the end result. I don't think I'll have to try the salon anymore since most of the time they cut too much off and I dont get what I want. Thank you so much for taking the time out to make this tutorial, saved me $$ 😄
I have had the same bad experiences over the years! The last one cut my hair way short when I have always had long hair. I had to wait to grow it out again and finally today my mom recommended her friend that does hair and I had her watch this video so she knew EXACTLY how I wanted my hair before cutting it. Thank God, after so many years, she is the one that got it right :)
Thanks Farah! It took me almost 2 hours but my cut came out well and even my sister noticed and complemented me on it. No more wasting money at the salon for me! Great video!
FARRAH! I want to thank you so much for posting this video. I've been feeling a little down lately and I have been growing out my hair for the last couple of months. My tips were as crispy as fries so I decided to cut my hair. I saw your video and did exactly what you did to my hair and I loved it!!! My hair looks beautiful, cull and healthy PLUS I don't feel down anymore!! thank you soooo much!! I am indeed one of your fans!! XOXO
Easy to follow tutorial, very informative about why the cut is made this way or that. This was my second time following the tutorial. The first time I cut a little "heavy" (straight across/not cutting enough with the point) on one small section, and was too scared to try and fix it so hid that section by curling my hair for the past 8 weeks! Lol. I always do drastic, terrible things to my hair when I go to a salon for what is supposed to be a trim. Cutting my own hair is easy, cheap, and saves me from the temptation of doing something crazy!
Thank you so much! Obviously I am here on RUclips to 'do it myself' because I have been to countless salons telling them that I want layers but I ddo not want to lose my length! I also want short layers on the top of my hair. Couldn't have asked for a more exact cut! Perfect!
You have nooo idea how long i searched for this tutorial, i cut my hair like this 7 years ago, and wanted to cut it again now but at first i couldn‘t find this video Thank u so mich❤️
I just cut my hair using this video as a guide and it went great! I didn't make the back layers quite so short and choppy because i prefer everything to blend into each other, so my layers aren't defined. But I still followed the steps while adjusting to my preference along the way and it went smoothly! Definitely would recommend you try this method if you have long hair and want to cut it yourself.
I do the same.Ever since I watched this video 5 years ago,I have never been to a salon.I love how my hair looks after this haircut.
Same!
IKR, Im back. I tried the wolf cut and hate it, so going back to the good old cut now!
Yesss!!! Agreed!!
I love it but how do you know how much to cut off the guide section? 😅
I just finished cutting my hair using your tutorial for the 6th time. It's perfection. Flawless every single time.

*slow clap* Thank you for voicing the truth! You are completely awesome. :D

I noticed that persons who cut their own hair tend to have longer hair because ladies at the salon always cut too much
It's like they get excited because there's so much hair and just wanna keep cutting lol I said 2 inches

JESUS CHRIST! I actually thought her hair was fake until she started cutting it. GIRL YOUR HAIR IS GOALS...
yes!!!! I'm so jealous!
This is the greatest video in the entire world on how to cut layers into your hair. I've used it 3 times to cut my hair & I'll be lost if it ever gets taken down. Great job!!! 💗
Me too!
me too, I have been using this video for a year now and it always turns out great ! the better explained and detailed video I have found :) !

I just finished cutting my hair using your video step by step, blow dried it and voila!!! it looks like yours. I'm no longer jealous... lol!!! thank you very much!
This is honestly the best how to for layered hair tutorial video I've followed on all of youtube. Highly recommend y'all try following this video :)
is it just me or does she look like a prettier version of Kim Kardashian?
I tried the "ponytail" technique and it made my hair so choppy. I followed this video and cleaned everything up. My hair looks so much better. Thank you!
perfect
I couldnt agree more....its the exact same issue I face. They don't give me more layers even though I insist on shorter layers around the face...
Thanks ..good tip
my hair is long like yours but thin, & no one here in knoxville knows how to cut long hair. i will give this a try, cross fingers, this is the best video i have seen. thank you.
YOU have the most beautiful and healthy shiny hair I have ever seen
This is by far the most helpful, fool proof tutorial I have ever seen.
THANK YOU! Bless YOU!
Thank you for this tutorial! I tried it out and I love my haircut! :D You explained each step very well and it was extremely helpful!
This video is awesome.
your hair is the hair of my dreams.
This is the third time cutting my hair with this tutorial and it looks great every time. Love it!
Does this create a v shape in the back???
iPANDARAWR01 yes :)
What type of scissors did you use?
i just cut my hair using your techniques! and it worked
The only haircut I've ever needed, the only hair cutting tutorial I need. I watch this video everytime I trim my hair. Farah is the bomb
I GOT THE HAIR I HAVE BEEN WANTING FOR AGES! Thanks to you! Your videos helped me a lot I love you
Used your method and it came out great!!! Looking to come back to this vid next time I want to cut my hair again :)
Thank you so much for this tutorial! It was exactly what I was looking for, your hair is so gorgeous!
Just cut my hair using your steps, and I am very happy. :)
This totally worked! Thank you soo so much! My hair feels fresh, light, and it looks like I just came from the salon. :) aaaaahhhh... Saved on a $50 cut woot woot!
Same! Saved myself so much money 😃
2020 and I still cut my hair this way
I've been using this tutorial for the past two years to trim my hair and make it longer and I get compliments on it all the time!
Xxx
I cut my hair your way and I love it! Never going to hairdresser again! And I did it with kitchen scissors.. :D
+Tara Marinara seriously. I even saw hair scissors at the dollar store lol
Thanks, my hair looks great. I have fine hair and now i got volume and movement.
the link to the video that shows in your videos on HOW TO CUT YOUR BANGS.... you have it SET TO PRIVATE & the link on how to BLOW DRY YOUR HAIR is not CLICKABLE :-(
Thank you SO much for posting this!!!
Thank you, you made this so much easier to understand
U have such a beautiful thick healthy hair! 💖💕❤
"freshly out of the shower" i wish my make up looked that good when i got out of the shower lol
I'm going to do this technique right now!
Hey, did you do it? :) How did it work out? I want to try but I'm scared, haha!
Elle P. Yes I did, it turned out really nice! I didn't do the layers very short because I want my hair to grow longer but try it out :)
Oh, good, I'm glad it worked out for you! I'll give it a try then. Thanks for the quick reply!
I did it too! Worked wonderfully 😄 👍🍉🍓🍇
As soon as my kids are asleep I'm trying this. I always ask for these kind of layers when I get a professional to do it and they always just do whatever the hell they want, so what have I got to lose :-D
Sarah Welen that's my story also, they try to talk me into cutting it short.
+Dina Muñoz sry Whelan
In Mexico they do it exactly like this tutorial
theres a bit to do, but its a very thorough tutorial, and u look great.so thanks;]]
Best hair cutting tutorial on RUclips, used it years ago and I'm so happy to find it again ❤ thank you so much Farah 🙏🏽 x
Step 1. let yr hair grow for 100 years..... Haha! Mine still wouldn't be that long. xx
Lol I know people who can't grown long hair at all mine is not the case I cut my own hair as well and its down past my butt just six months ago I cut off 7 inches it grew back in less then 4 months
You're so ridiculously cute. I watch this video everytime I trim my hair, & only use this method. Thanks girl!
omg i just did it step by step... ur hair must be even at the first place because sometime i found my hair already shorter than the guide!! anyways, my PERSONAL result was horrible and mom is gonna kill me and feed me to the neighborhood dogs.
feed me to my neighbor dog 😂😂
Excellent Video...
Thx!
omg your hair is soooo pretty
Thank you for this video! Haha I was doing it with my hair wet and the entire time I was just thinking, "wow i'm really fucking this up" but when it dried it looked great.
This is THE best my hair has ever been cut! These hair stylists could never get this style right on me, and finally I took the chance with your tutorial and I've never been happier! OMG ur the best!!
I just followed your steps and it workes. Everyone compliments me for my haircut, but no one knows I did it my self. Thank you sooo much for this video!
Who came here from Nikki glamour ? 🙋🏼🙋🏼
🙋
🙌
Does your hair fall out a lot? I find that the longer mine gets (it's middle of my back now), the more it falls out when I shower or comb it .. or even run my hands through it. It's not clumps, but just random stands.
my hair is on my lower back and it falls out A LOT when the seasons change (around March) and then normal amounts thereafter... i think with long hair it sometimes just looks like a lot because it's long, but in terms of volume it's probably the same as most people. :)
Do u shower ur hair with hot water and do u oil it often
I do a cool or tepid (not cold) water rinse after conditioning. Occasionally (more often in summer) I do a coconut oil "treatment" - basically take some extra virgin cold pressed coconut oil (the same I cook with) and apply from about neck length to the tips, then braid & wash the next morning.
Oh ok are u drinking water
It's perfectly normal for your hair to fall out!! :)
Omg, don't think I am smart enough to do this. I have long hair and have asked my stylist to give me shorter layers but she won't or doesn't know how. So frustrating
Show her on yourself where you want your layers to start.
Same problem :(
My stylist says the same thing. That short layers don't like good with long hair 😥
Looks awesome!
I tried this cut on my dry, well straightened hair and the result was really beautiful.
maybe you can try on dry, straightened hair too.
im distracted by how adorable you are omg
You look like you are using thinning scissors, not hair cutting scissors.
Thanks so much!!!!!
thanks for the best tutorial ever! tried for the first time to cut my own hair at home, can't explain how much satisfied i am! God bless you!!
omg! you look like kim kardashian
ikr? ^_^ :">
Unicorn's Diary a less hot version of kim LOL
I've watched this video so many times and I still have no idea what she's doing
r u a lion bc I'll be taemin u all night im glad im not the only one...so lost lol
That's b'cus its a bad Video tutorial!
i know i can do this...
i just used your tutorial step by step and i'm going to blow dry my new hair straight away... wish me luck and thanks! it's almost ten years that i cut my own hair, but without any scientific notion ;)
i found it really useful!!!
I got lost when u were cutting ur top hair.
Thank you for this tutorial!! I've literally have come back to this video for the past ten years to cut my hair ❤
I have used this video like three times to cut my hair, the technique is flawless. Thank you so much Farahdhukai!
Thought i'd try it out, turned out so well that my mum wanted me to layer her hair. Saved me so much money THANK YOU SO MUCH, BEAUTIFUL! :)
XOXO
Wow! You just saved at least 60 dollars. This looks great. Why you would ever go to a salon is beyond me.
Perfect!
You have nooo idea how long i searched for this tutorial, i cut my hair like this 7 years ago, and wanted to cut it again now but at first i couldn‘t find this video
Thank u so mich❤️
I just tried this. Super easy, especially on my chin-length hair, and works like a charm. Thank you so much for the tutorial!
