    Great video!
    Just so everyone can have some kind of idea on chain count. All measurements are in US terms inches and double stitches.
    Crib size 28 x52 - chain 92
    Twin 39 x 75 - ch 125
    Full 54 x 75 - ch170
    Queen 60 x 80 - chain 188
    King 76 x 80 - ch 233
    I don't know how many yarn skittens, cakes and such because of yarn size type etc worsted, bulk , yd/m.
    At the moment I am using acrylic, size 4 medium brand premier sweet roll black pepperswirl( 5 rolls) and red heart supersaver jumbo color black, gray, and heather gray (1 in each color). I'm making mine twin size. My calculation came out perfectly so no need to watch the 2nd video saying skip the last stitch my ends are even and stacked properly. I hope this helps.😊

    I found your pattern on the internet and I’m doing an extra 2 rows of granny stitch, the problem is that my stitch count changes in the granny pattern so by the time I get to the rows of double crochet the stitch count is not the same as the starting chain and I’m getting a lopsided blanket 🙁
    I decided to search on YT and here you are with the same blanket so I’m really pleased about that as I need to watch you closely as you do the granny stitch part so I end up with an even blanket. Thank you so much!

    After chaining 3 at the end of row 1, turning the work and dc into the 3rd stitch from the hook how many stitches will be in row in row 2, how many stiches will be left for row 3. i had 117 but then in row 4 I had 118

    Hi. Followed this pattern in photo tutorial on Attic24 and watched your tutorial which is so clear, but, I'm having problem with the SKIP LAST STITCH on row 5 & 10 etc. I really don't know where I'm going wrong, the edge has got massive steps and my stitch count and '3 tripple clusters' are getting less and less. I've read all the questions, obviously nobody else is having this problem. Heeeelp! (please)

    Just starting with my crotchet and trying to follow this pattern /tutorial - doing well so far (so thank you ) I just get a bit confused with the ends of each row -

    • @FabricFolk
      @FabricFolk  8 лет назад +1

      sorry about that. so when you chain 3 to start a row your next dc is never in the stitch at bottom of ch3, always next stitch along. then every row you finish in top of ch3 from previous row other than row 5, 9, 13 etc so first row of straight dcs.

    Hi #Attic24 ! I absolutely love this blanket! I just have a [stupid?] question. When you made your chain and also as you crochet your rows back and forth, are you working this blanket from say, top to bottom or is this the width (side to side) What I mean is, say this were an adult blanket and if I covered up with it on the couch, would I cover up with the stripes being from head to toe? Hope that makes sense. xx

    • @FabricFolk

      When doing the "crochet over ends" method I do a tie together of the two colors once I do the first dc stitch. I also make sure that my ends are not short but medium to long so there are multiple times Im stitching over the ends.
      The other rule for sewing in ends especially if the yarn is silky in texture is to always sew going in three directions. So sew going one way, then turn back and then turn back again. Another thing if for a baby blanket or item to be used and washed a lot I do very very long ends. I also sew my ends into the same color of the yarn as best possible when having multiple colors or color changing yarn.

    Oh goodness! I can't watch this video because she uses her right hand to throw the yarn over instead of using the crochet hook to grab the yarn. That's why it's made as a "Hook". So much unnecessary movement.

    • @FabricFolk
      @FabricFolk  5 лет назад +12

      I throw with my left hand occasionally, you will see I also grab with the hook, I'm trying to do it clearly for people to see rather than my quick lazy way.
