I have watched your tutorials for all my crocheting projects!! My mom is so proud and I tell her I'm learning new things on RUclips and she is just amazed! Thank you ! Your so easy to follow along with and I'm pleased to say I'm a good pupil! Lol
Susan, if you're on Facebook you should think about joining her group. There are wonderful people there and they teach and share so much. Great inspiration too! Hope to see you there sometime. Bella Coco - The Crochet Club.
I just wanted to say that I'm SO THANKFUL for you and your videos! I randomly woke up last week and decided I wanted to learn to crochet. I went and bought some hooks and yarn and didn't know where to start. I came on youtube to see if I can learn the basics and I found your channel! I've learned how to hold my yarn and hook, slip knot, chain, and a few stitches. I'm also learning the crochet lingo! I'm so exited. ALL THANKS TO YOU! I have begun this granny stripe and I'm about 20 rows in just as a sample and It's looking great! I'm getting more consistent with my stitches! Next I shall make a blanket!
this is my first time following Bella Coco and making this stitch was very easy for me catch on. will follow u as much as i can. the only thing i knew how to crochet was an afghan with the ripple stitch. been during that stitch over 40 years but knew nothing else. Thanks Coco
Your tutorials make it so easy to learn the various crochet stitches. Even though I am in the US, I still use your UK terms because that is the way you taught me. Thanks so much and keep posting please
i totally agree with you about ending the colors with a tie. My daughter loved her blanket so much it got washed all the time and fell apart. now with your method, it can be washed over and over again without fretting about it coming apart!!! Lovely video!!! Thanks for sharing. So clear and I love where you have the words pause in your video to make it easier for those that need to pause and wait for the next instructions!!! Thanks!!!!
All of your videos are the best! As a long time educator in the US, I can safely say you are an excellent teacher. I'm a beginner left-handed crocheter and always look forward to learning something new from you.
Another super tutorial video. Your teaching skills are so great. You are costing me a fortune. Every video of yours makes me purchase more yarn for another project. I appreciate the time you take to make these videos. Thank you!!
I only started crochet about 5 months ago, so am still very much a novice. I love your tutorials. You explain things so well and are so easy to follow. Thank you so much
i never properly learned how to crochet, and reading a pattern was like trying to decipher a foreign language. I tried to follow along to some other videos and just could not get the hang of things. Your instructions are very simplistic and give lots of time. I thank you for teaching me what i thought i could not do. I only use your videos now when i want to learn a new pattern....again, thank you...sincerely A Canadian Beginner
i Love you!!! I learned how to crochet just by watching your videos!!! We grew up with our 3 Aunts making us blankets, dolls and booties. They have all passed away and I wanted to continue the tradition but couldnt understand written patterns. THANK YOU SO MUCH. Your tutorials are PERFECT AND SO EASY TO UNDERSTAND. Plus im from USA and LOVE your accent. My husband says he feels like youre part of the family because he hears your voice all day. hahahahahah.
Thanks Bella! For years I have been trying to learn more with crocheting. It really helps me with my sobriety. Im trying to do a scarf with this style using the colors of my favorite american football team. Thanks again! Congratulations on the wedding.
I am able to follow every one of your tutorials! You are my number one go to crocheter and I really enjoy all your videos. Always look forward to your uploads.
*I have decided to try to learn how to CROCHET. I tried as young child. I had trouble and gave up. I bought the hook & yarn. But still have not begun, watching some tutorials. Came across this one. Just to inspire myself to get started. Hoping to eventually be able to learn all these other stitches & make different things. And I watched it & found this TUTORIAL SO ABSOLUTELY CLEAR & CONCISE & I ACTUALLY UNDERSTOOD WHAT YOU WERE SAYING & DOING. I WANTED TO SAY 'THANK YOU.' I haven't begun. But will. Just wanted to say "THANKS!"*
You're very welcome and let me know how you get on, just remember that crochet is all about practice and patience so don't be too hard on yourself and don't give up :)
@@bellacococrochet I won't & thanks. However, my FINGERS & HAND was sore this morning! And my stitches, well, my tension needs improvement. I'm gonna take a day's break & keep going..
@@bellacococrochet One more thing, it was actually fun. I couldn't believe I was doing it. Because as I child I found it frustrating & quit. AGAIN THANK YOU!
I just want to thank you for your great tutorial. I am a knitter but for many years I have wanted to crochet a rug, every time I have tried to learn how to crochet I have given up in despair. This time I was determined to succeed and your tutorial made it possible it was wonderfully clear, I did have to stop many time and go back. But I have now mastered the basic triple crochet, and i think because of my knitting experience my tension has been pretty good from the start. I am up to my 10th colour, I wish I could show you a pic, but putting a pic up here is beyond my computer ability.
Thank you Bella Coco for your tutorials. So easy to follow. I also like that you don’t embellish yours with things that aren’t relevant to what you want to show. Both easy on the ear and also to follow. I’ve tried other tutorials but they just don’t cut it for me. Thanks again
Your videos are awesome and very easy to follow. I have made a Couple of Angle Baby blankets off your tutorials. Tonight I was looking for a new pattern that would be "boy appropriate" as my sister says I have made too many girl blankets. In 90 minutes, I had ten rows done. I anticipate I will be able to complete it this weekend. I love the look of it. Thanks for giving me a way to have purpose in my life by crocheting. Keep making these easy to follow videos.
The blanket turned out BEAUTIFUL! I used another of your tutorials to put a shell (?) edging on it. Now to find a new tutorial for a pretty little girl blanket as I have variegated pink yarn. Any suggestion?
I know im just another person but I absolutely love your videos. You've gotten me to learn SO many new stitches and the basics. Thank you so so much for your tutorials, theyre always so so easy to follow as a beginner.
Thankyou Bella Coco for your tutorials! ive just started to learn to crochet after several failed attempts,...your tutorials are the best, so easy to follow and really clear instructions. The best Ive found on RUclips so far 👍
Really easy and fun to make! I'm making a twin sized one for my daughter and I think I chained like 204+2. She chose a teal blue, hot pink, white and dark grey, colors are gorgeous when they're together. Thank you so much!
Thanks for the info on the 204 +2 ch and that that you used four skeins of each color. Can you tell me how many rows did you do in one color before switching to another color?
I have to say I absolutely love your video. So clear in the directions. I am now making a baby blanket using the granny stripes. Thank you so much for your time in making this video.
Thank you this was so very easy to understand I have not crochet for many yrs & recently found myself laid up in bed very poorly for long time... what a great opportunity to pick up my wool again .. I’ve subscribed & clicked the bell.. looking forward to learning much more from you. Di .... Liverpool xx
if making a baby blanket, with the 120 chain stitches at first, how many rows up should I go up? I have went thru the video to see if u say but get distracted every time I look for it. thanks again, you are awesome.
That was a fabulous tutorial because as a novice I was able to follow and start my blanket. Your instructions were very clear and your demonstration was easy to follow. Thank you

I love this! I'm working on my first crochet project, thanks to you, Sweet One. And I can't wait to try a new project, but can't decide which one of your tutorials to start. Fantastic tutorial. I have been trying to teach myself the basic stitches but after watching this twice I am now going to attempt a granny stripe blanket. Thank you
I ended up chaining one in between each cluster of treble/double crochets. I found that this made a much neater gap between them and it made the next row come out a bit neater. It may also have to do with the type of yarn I'm using. It was a medium weight (4) with a 6mm hook. This tutorial was fantastic, thank you and congratulations on the engagement!
Thank you for this. I tried this pattern for placement mats in green and red for Christmas season. They look festive. Your instructions are so clear... made also some coasters also with one of your patterns .
Thank you for this tutorial on granny stripe. You have explained this very clearly and I will certainly do a swatch today. I like to learn new stitches.

After watching your tutorial I finally understood the system for the beginning and the ending of the rows for the granny clusters. No one had mentioned that one fine detail before.

I love your work! Please please make a video on the ripple stitch I don't seem to pick up on other videos :(
Hi Bella thank you so much for sharing this amazing way to do the granny stitch, Iove it and for me it is it looks so much nicer when doing the traditional granny square.

Thank you for this video. I love doing the Granny pattern. I love making squares and sewing them together. I always thought it would be great to make a Granny pattern working back and forth. I love this pattern. I have also done the rectangle Granny and it turned out gorgeous. I made myself a poncho and two shawls in the Granny pattern. Again thank you. God Bless.

Thanks for making it simple to learn, this is a pattern I never thought I could do. I remember afgans made of this pattern when I was young, I will never get that far, maybe a scarf...
Love ur videos! I like the more secure way that u changed colors and tied it off. I’m going to try that way cuz I’m always afraid that my joins may come apart. We put some many hours into some projects that it would be awful if it came apart esp on gifted items.Thank u for sharing!
I made my friend a first responders blanket with this pattern. Six rows of black and then three rows of camo for the military, more black then three blue, more black then gold for dispatchers and then black with three red row for fire, more black and then finally white for EMS. I think it turned out cool!
Wow I loved this video, You made this seem so simple and I love how you change colours it look amazing :) Thank you so much. I can't wait to try it out :D
Thank you for this tutorial! I just realized that on changing colors, I would slip stitch and then chain 3 (not 2) and my work was coming out to tall! Now I know! Thanks so much!!!!!
I really love your tutorials, because you speak so clearly and you don't rush things.

I ended up chaining one in between each cluster of treble/double crochets. I found that this made a much neater gap between them and it made the next row come out a bit neater. It may also have to do with the type of yarn I'm using. It was a medium weight (4) with a 6mm hook.

Check blankets on here in youtube with ''the crochet crowd'' & ''bethintx1'', they are nice blankets done by experts. bethintx1 has best video for teaching basics. A very nice blanket that is different is Jacobs Ladder by bethintx1

Very nice you Explain the crochet chain
Thanks for making it simple to learn, this is a pattern I never thought I could do. I remember afgans made of this pattern when I was young, I will never get that far, maybe a scarf...
Erin Sinclair Don't doubt your own abilities! I'm sure you could make one- after all, a blanket is just a wider scarf! :) x
You make such beautiful things! I love this channel
Like the way you show what you do easy to follow you
Thank you :)
@@bellacococrochet Thank you
Love ur videos! I like the more secure way that u changed colors and tied it off. I’m going to try that way cuz I’m always afraid that my joins may come apart. We put some many hours into some projects that it would be awful if it came apart esp on gifted items.Thank u for sharing!
Thank you, thank you! I FINALLY understand how to do this! I'm so proud of myself for finally learning this stitch. Thank you for everything!

Thank you :)
I made my friend a first responders blanket with this pattern. Six rows of black and then three rows of camo for the military, more black then three blue, more black then gold for dispatchers and then black with three red row for fire, more black and then finally white for EMS. I think it turned out cool!
Thank you your very easy to understand instructions. Another stitch added to my lexicon 🎉
