Hate to be a downer but those car seats are ruined with you pressure washing it like that. The harness straps are not meant to be completely soaked with water per the manufacturer directions (of all car seats), and by getting the shell soaked you can ruin the inside mechanics with any rusting on the metal. Please please please take this portion out of your video, you are promoting extremely dangerous practices.
Car seats should only be cleaned per the manufacturer instructions in their manual
I appreciate the comment but this is not true. If that was the case then everytime a diaper gets wet through or a drink gets spilled, it would be ruined.
Per Graco:
For the cover: Remove seat cover and/or seat pad. You can machine wash these on the delicate cycle in cold water, or spot clean by hand with mild soap. Always air dry.
by using just a pressure washer and no detergent, this is even gentler than what they recommend.
You cannot be serious, child car seats are massively over-engineered and overbuilt. They get wet all the time, they are designed for scenarios like that.
Also rust lol, they are meant to be replaced every 10 years, they could last 30, but they want 10. There is no way rust in any part of that child seat is going to rust anywhere near a fail point in 10 years or less (excluding the fact they are all stainless steel for that very reason).
I hate people who go stupid over safety when there is no reason.
But hey, I am just an aerospace/mechanical engineer, what the hell would I know.
I have no idea if what this lass is saying is correct, but she's talking about the straps and shell, neither of which that extract from the manual is talking about

Yea pressure washing car seats is definitely not safe… straps should not be soaked with water and the frames will rust and cause issues with safety… I feel bad for anyone who watches this and thinks it’s a great idea, those seats need to be replaced asap

I only clicked on this because I saw carseats being pressure washed In the thumbnail.🤦♀️. You can't pressure wash carseat covers unfortunately.you have to do it EXACTLY how the manufacturer recommends. I would have been so angry. Each of my carseats are close to $400 each and you would have been paying a pretty penny for how many kids I have.
He doesn't even care that he has now ruined these seats and risked these kids lives 😑

Question my car i bought used a lexus and it had light gray carpets but looks like someone over chemical cleaned it as its lost colour is thr a carpet dye that will not exstract out. I wish someone did a carpet dye with different carpet dye brands and then extracted it to see which lost the dye..

My favorite sweet treat would have to be a better than s*x cake my family and I make!! It is a moist chocolate cake with caramel sauce and sweetened condensed milk soaked into it. Then, topped with cool whip and health bar bits!! 😋 want some right now

What are you thoughts on using the drill brush while vacuuming? I seen it in a different video and it was quite nice to watch all the deep imbedded dirt being pulled up and especially considering vacuuming is by far my favorite part of your videos. Have you tried it before or is it not really worth the extra step?

Good God, I've never seen a car so trashed like this one. Not only have the kids ruined it, but it looks like the mom has helped to trash it as well. Sorry, but these people must be the biggest slobs you'll ever meet. It's like the family decided to have an all-out food fight in the car. I have two toddlers, but our car is never as bad as this.
Watching this you just know that this car will be completely trashed within a week after the owners get it back.
I get that the video is sped up, but it seems with all car detailers, you don't spend enough time/care with the drill brush. You seem to miss a lot of carpet instead of methodically going over it bit by bit.
I think slowing down and spending more time on the bad areas would improve the results... Not saying you are the only one that seems to rush this part, every other detailer I watch on RUclips does the same.
Why do you not use your steamer more? It would make a far easier job of cleaning the plastics/cup holders etc.
Finally, why do you not rinse the stuff after cleaning it? You soak it in APC, wash it, then immediately dry it with all the yellow gunk water still in it... Seems like you should at least rinse it out before drying.

Stauffer I’m a fan but the way you cleaned that car seat definitely is against recommendations from Graco. If you spill anything on the straps they are supposed to be wiped with a damp rag not soaked in water or chemicals. When it comes to auto detailing you are definitely very talented but for this car seat you are misguiding.
@5:30, They say if you curl your toes into a fist on the carpet it helps with jetlag....just remember to put your shoes back on so you're not running through broken shot out glass
The car seats are ruined after being power washed. The plastic base is not supposed to be exposed water. Neither are the straps. The covers are allowed to be washed but only by the manuals instruction per sheet as it’s flame retardant and most products are to harsh of a material. Not to mention the impact force of the pressure washer. These seats are compromised and need to be tossed. If those seats are in use during a car accident it can be catastrophic.
I don’t think Ford carpet as a whole is the problem. I think this particular carpet has just lost the will to continue being a carpet.. 🤢
