Always nice to see celebrities that use their money to do selfless things...and I don't mean a generous act that gets them good publicity - I mean being genuinely selfless.

I started looking for the video that shows the completion of this project then looked at the date of the last video and realized with great disappointment, it’s probably not done yet. 😮
I am so excited about your project, your enthusiasm is infectious, besides watching what your doing is quite interesting to me.
I’ve always been interested in water features in or outside my home. Always small since I don’t have a lot of space to work with and to be honest, don’t want to spend a lot of time on maintenance. I found out when living in Santa Monica and making my first project, a 25 gallon plugged pot, it’s not a make it and just leave it alone kind of art….I hade mosquito problems, raccoon problems, plants dying problems, everything problems! It took a bit but I finally got that little pot ponds water balanced without chemicals eventually. I loved it.
Anyway I admire that you have taken your work to such an amazing scale. Just knowing very little about this makes me realize a little of the challenges you have taken on and have created amazing works of art despite that .
Thank you for posting all these videos to share what you and your company has and is doing. I really find it fun to watch, especially since I doubt in this life will I create anything larger than a fifty gallon environment that’s planned this year. So much fun.
Thanks and wish you and your family and your company the best!!

Ive followed you Ed and Team Aquascape since you had your tv-show!
And this is my favorite project so far!
We need more Team Aquascape and Ed here in Europe! And specially here in Sweden!
And to be honest, if just enough aquarium hobbyists like me found you and your channel Ed. I promise that you and your brain could change the entire aquarium hobby in the entire world!
You dont even have to talk about aquariums, just that hobbyists like me needs to learn from you how filtration works.
Im using this type of filtration in smaller scale in my aquariums. And I have learned it all from you.
Like I said, you dont even have to convert your knowledge about ponds. Just that tankowners like me needs to learn how the nature and filtration works. Like you show in your videos.
    Something to think about!
    Greg loves his job!
    I love Eds brain!
    You rock!!!!!!

Hi Ed! I heard on the video that you went with a 25 x 40 wetland filtration here with 2 pumps, 6 centipedes, and 1 snorkel. This earthen pond looked to be fairly large, so did you go with this size to cover 5-15% of the surface area of the earthen pond or how did you do your calculations for this project to get to 25 x 40 wetland with the large aquablocks? 2nd question, I was trying to find your video on what yall used for the intake bay/skimmer to draw the water up from the earthen pond to the bog. Could you elaborate on that a bit, please?

Is there Media or gravel inside the aquabox

    • @EdThePondProfessor
      @EdThePondProfessor  Год назад +2

No it’s structural void space allowing the water to disperse

Could have saved 150k by dredging the pond and buying a fountain. Hard to be green with 50 tons of plastic, rubber and other crap. Funny they spoke of permaculture and working with the land too. Don’t get me wrong this stuff works for koi ponds but this is silly.

It's not nice to fool Mother Nature. Good thing they reduced their carbon footprints with only two pumps. Total win now.

Sometimes modern materials help make it easier to work with mother nature. Seems like they spent a lot of extra money to reduce the reduce the needed pumps from 4 down to 2. Ed's systems have a proven track record in green projects. I recommend looking at past work. Specifically Phipps Conservatory.

The owners are worried about their“carbon footprint” but have a team of guys driving to the house running diesel equipment building a pond out of petroleum by products all for their own enjoyment. Im all for it, but these people are the definition of Libtards 😂😂😂
