Why does it seem like every pond I see online has a lot of algae? Is there nothing to be done to keep it under control more?

Great question!
Algae is an important part of a functional ecosystem, we keep it under control but we don’t want to eradicate it.
It produces oxygen for the fish and it’s home to a wide variety of microorganisms that are food for the fish…
It’s found in every natural aquatic environment around the globe from the polar icecaps to the tropical forests.
The goal is to not let it get out of control

The concrete may crack but the main waterproofing is from the EPDM Liner, the concrete is there for structural integrity but we encased it with additional precast concrete blocks

You're right, I just realized that Mario updated his favorite way to tackle ED and it's crazy! Although what he previously talked about was pretty decent, it was difficult to follow, I just go'ogled the latest in Mario Volpstein's Erections at Will, it's so much simpler and potent now!
