FYI the Old Fitzgerald Bottled in Bond typically goes for $100-250 per bottle if you can find it at all. I think you’re thinking of the standard bottling of Old Fitz which runs around $15 a bottle.
You do realize that Rebel Yell and Old Fitzgerald are from the same distillery (at this time) and are the same mashbill... The Rebel yell 10 year is actually quite good. That old fitzgerald you are showing, the 11 year bottled in bond decanter sells for around $120/bottle, pretty sure that will make most people cringe when they see the price tag.

Yeah I don't really get vodka. It's only good for mixing, shooting and sneaking (no color or scent, me and my friends used to put it in water bottles back when we were younger and dumber). I've really gotten into whiskey this last year. That actually has flavor.
What's hilarious is your lack of bourbon knowledge. The Rebel Yell brand is owned by Luxco but sourced from Heaven Hill. It is a wheated bourbon which makes it sweet and the same recipe as Larceny and Old Fitzgerald, your recommended alternative. The Rebel Yell 10 Year Old Single Barrel is 100 proof, rare and highly lauded but not their 80 proof version. Your video shows more clips of the 10 Year Old Single Barrel being made or served, which again, proves you have no idea what you are talking about. This discredits your whole video. Do more research. There are plenty of other RUclips channels that can educate you.
MrYouarethecancer I like scotch but why would I need balls to drink a spirit that is typically 40% ABV? Go try a Kentucky bourbon that’s at least 50%. Start with Wild Turkey 101 and move up the line to Rare Breed and Russel’s Reserve Single Barrel.
Avoid channels at all cost who steal from other RUclipsrs without permission and get it wrong in the process . Do watch channels that make their own original content and are intelligent and well researched.
Pinnacle makes for a good mixer vodka. I used the whip cream one with pepsi turned out well. Not something I want to drink straight. I like Belvedere otherwise.
Fun fact: many vodkas are made from straight grain alcohol that comes from only TWO manufacturers. The only difference is what particular companies do to it. So that $12 bottle of cheap vodka isn’t really all that different from the $50 stuff.
Yeah I haven't been interested in Vodka since I became old enough to legally drink. In competitions what are they even tasting for? "smoothness"... ok, but what else?
Let explain something to you. The best spirit to drink is what you like to drink. Regardless of its cost, history, or style. If your snobby enough to dictate how and what people like then I suggest you stay out of one the greatest hobbies of the world. You might do better telling people what dog food to get.
That's exactly it. Taste is 100% subjective. I have tried bottom shelf vodkas I liked better than Grey Goose and other 'premium" brands. The same can be said for whiskies and other spirits. This video also forgets to mention that not everyone can afford the more expensive brands. I grew up in a fairly well off family so I always had money to spend, but I also understand that this is not the case for most people. Rebel Yell is a perfectly acceptable whiskey. I have tried WAY worse. Spirits are made to be enjoyed, not alienate.
Drink what you like, if you enjoy it then go ahead and drink it. If someone has a suggestion then by all means you can try it. But at the end of the night, you’re looking to have a good experience so drink what you like don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
Old Fitzgerald bourbon is expensive. It cost from $150 to $250 a bottle if you can find it. Buffalo Trace, Michters, Elijah Craig, Knob Creek, 4 Roses , even Blantons and EHTaylor are more plentiful and won’t break the bank.
Just here from It's Bourbon Night pointing out the best footage used is from there channel. Good ole fashioned stealing footage from them at 26 seconds.
Overall good list. One thing: Old Fitzgerald 11yr Bottled in Bond retails for around $500. If you can find it as it’s highly allocated. At least here in California.
One thing you should NOT consume is Laphroaig single malt! In fact, I have been officially set up by the company to accept all bottles of Laphroaig (preferably still sealed) and I will dispose of them properly for you. Or Lagavulin. I love...er...I mean...I can dispose of Lagavulin for you, too.
What are you talking about?! Laphroaig is the best single bottle of scotch whiskey for your money! The smoke and peat taste is an absolute delight. Glenmorangie is a scotch that sucks it doesn’t even have a smokiness to it.
Rich Delgado islay scotches such as lagavulin and laphroaig are delicious! But they are definitely not for everyone. Find other scotches you like. The islay ones are just a matter of preference and exposure to them. Most people don’t like those types the first time you drink them. Personally, I love them.
Not a vodka fan myself but I was happy with Pinnacle. Their flavored vodkas got me. This video said it about Jose Cuervo. The stuff of nightmares with a tequila binge. Horrible hangover, memories, and the forever banned... even smell of the stuff. I can’t even think of the bottle without a dry heave 15 years later.
Iceman is wise and prudent. But also I would add peyote, ayuahuasca, Hawaiian baby woodrose and Magic mushrooms All of these are found naturally on earth. Alcohol like methamphetamine etc is extracted and processed by man made chemical solutions.
Part of my decision making process includes how a certain liquor makes me feel the next day after drinking it heavily the night before. There’s a reason why I’ll pay more for grey goose instead of the cheap store brand crap.
Hahahaha that bottle of old fitzgerald 11 year bottled in bond you said is "bottom shelf price" has an MSRP of $75 and has a secondary market value of $200.
I've tried a lot of different Bourbons, and Rebel Yell is NOT harsh. In fact, it's really smooth and ideal for a bourbon newbie. Clearly an advertisement.
You seem to have no clue about bourbons. Both Rebel Yell and Old Fitzgerald are made by Heaven Hill. Both are made of the same, wheated mash bill. Not to mention that you can't get Old Fitzgerald at the cheap price anymore unless you live in Kentucky. Please do more research before putting out such "information."
Rebel Yell is a pretty good whisky. I find it smooth and not harsh as some more expensive bottles. Yes it is a little more sweet as say Woodford Reserve but its great for sipping.
Yes. Old Fitzgerald. Resale now around $500. Won’t drink Rebel but won’t find Old Fitz. You want good bourbon? Drink Elijah Craig. Easily found everywhere for around $30.
Jesus Christ, do some research first. Rebel Yell 10 year old single barrel is way better than the cheap 80 proof bottom shelf bourbon. Also, the Old Fitzgerald you keep showing is the 11 year old version in the fancy decanter, and is over $100 a bottle. There is a cheaper Old Fitz bottled-in-bond version but you show the pricey one and say it has a bottom shelf price and that couldn't be further from the truth.
Eric Renfer Thank you, glad someone else noticed this. This vid tries to imply “craft artisanal” whiskey is better by saying that’s how RY redid their bottles, but craft whiskey is often too young and just not as good as the stuff from the established and experienced distilleries. RY is Heaven Hill which also makes Old Fitz.
Johnnie Bee if you ever see the BiB for less than $125/bottle grab it immediately. It’s worth every penny. The cheapest I’ve seen it for was $150. Delicious stuff.
Scotch whisky is another category. If you are able to find it at the states, pass up Red Lable but go for Grants Signature or cask editions. Single malts is a far and wide field, where there arent many bad ones. Glenfiddich 12 yo is a universally praised entry level single malt but pass on the 15 yo solera and 18 yo. The fall short in flavour compared to 12 yo. High end single malts and blends are usually heavy peated and smoked ones that you go for when you have lost your sense of taste...
Spot on with Gray Goose. I've done multiple blind taste tests and it never finishes first even among the GG devotees. Smirnoff (surprisingly) and just about any potato based vodka will always beat it.
What exactly are people looking for when comparing vodkas? Besides "smoothness" what makes a particular vodka better than others? Interesting that potato-based vodkas seem to beat GG.
@@RCas-wt7cj Typically flavor, aroma, and smoothness (soft mouth feel). Potato vodkas have a much longer distillation and filtering process so they tend to be much smoother but some say less flavor that wheat based. It's all subjective

@@SiliconBong except, bruichladdich is a rather well known scotch... maybe not to just any random passerby, but it is still one of the larger scotch brands...
I once got a 2 day long hangover from drinking cuervo. Usually a whiskey drinker. Tried some cuervo. And since it goes down fairly easy. Maybe over did it. But it was bad. Even had hallucinations.
They make mezcal, not tequila. Whoever made the video didn’t do their homework. I love mezcal more than tequila as I grow older. I love the smoky taste of mezcal. Go to Tequila Hombre for good reviews of both. He knows his stuff. He turned me on to G4 reposado and El Tesoro anejo tequila. The house brands of mezcal and tequila at Trader Joe’s are good and more affordable.
Also her calling Jose Cuervo the worst when Patron is usually what college students drink and is DEFINITELY the worst. She didn't even mention the three types of tequila.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with Rebel Yell! It tastes just fine! I mean, It's no Pappy but as far as being inexpensive, you can do a hell of a lot worse!
Some people like to drink until they pass out. I prefer beer instead of liquor because it is too concentrated. If I drink it is to relax and enjoy my evening not to pass out on the floor. The carbonation in beer allows the alcohol to be immediately absorbed in your system so you know when you have had too much. Liquor on the other hand sits in your stomach for two or three shots until your upper intestine finally opens and dumps all three shots into your system at once. As far as the taste after you have had several shots your not going to taste it anymore anyway.
I actually prefer it anyday over black label which is about $30 more, mix it with some coke and mhm!!! Barely gives me a headache, beer always seems to give me hangovers, specifically modelos
Rebel Yell 10 is fantastic. Regular Rebel Yell is awful. The 10yr is incredibly hard to find and doesn’t come in at a bottom shelf price. It typically runs $70-80 a bottle around me.
However vodka wise I love Polish brands like Sobieski. Beers from craft to even European beers like Grolsch, Leffe, Paulaner, Zywiec, and Pilsner Urquell.
Not usually a vodka drinker but I really like Ustianochka, its Russian and not verry expensive, usually sells in PA for $16.99 a 750ml bottle, when on sale its $13.99
A little bummed about hearing Grey Goose is actually comparatively bad, since I've spent alot on the stuff and didn't dislike it. Thankfully its not my favourite brand anyway, and also after a couple of shots they all taste the same.
I usually go for belvedere for pricey vodka and russian standard or stolichnaya for cheaper ones. The last two really aren't bad and you can act all russian cyka blyat while drinking those.
Rebel Yell isn't bad at all for the price point. For about $12 for a whiskey it's great as a mixer or just as a laid back whiskey to sip on with a sour kick. It is what it is... A BARGAIN bourbon. If it ever went over $20 for the standard label bottle then don't bother of course. But it is far from "rot gut" for it's price point.
In Old Fitz moment was playing the clip from the movie 'Lost in Translation' with shooting the commercial for Suntory Whiskey, Japanese brand, which I would recommend. Being said that Wild Turkey is my to go if I ever drink. The rest I've never seen in Europe.
When it comes to bourbon whiskey, Old Ezra 101 proof is very good. It is not the highest price, and the quality, smoothness, and flavor are right up there, what good sippin' whiskey should be. It comes in both 7 year old and 15 year old, which is how long it is aged in the kegs. Both are very good, but the 15 year old is EXCELLENT !
You have a point. However, whipped pinnacle and root beer is a great "cruise control" drink at parties. Cruise control = drink that tastes decent and keeps you at the same sobriety level without affecting your pallet for the next drink.
I've been saying for years that Grey Goose is garbage. Also that Belvedere everyone keeps bragging about. Tito's is the way. Look for the copper cap. If you take a straight shot of it, it goes down smooth and finishes like an after-dinner mint. Very excellent.
Rebel Yell might me bottom shelf but it is the best bottom shelf and is great in mixed drinks where you would not use your Pappy. Pinnacle is really good, good price, and like she said lots of flavors. Del Maguey is pricey. If you like cheaper, Sauza 1 year.
Joking aside I use everclear instead of lighter fluid when starting a charcoal or wood fire for grilling. Gets it going fast but no “lighter fluid” taste
Most 100% Agave tequilas are good, even the cheap ones. This vid recommends one from Oaxaca which is kinda strange. Most are from Jalisco. I bet it has a different taste.
@@jimbig3997 Tequila can only be made in Jalisco, any agave from a different region is not tequila. You shoud look into the NOM and you will find out who is really making the juice.
@@leonbanuelos9718 That's what I thought too. But if they have a label and the Mexican govt hasn't shut them down, perhaps we are wrong about this, or they've relaxed their rules a bit. I see no reason why an agave plant cannot be grown in Oaxaca.
Actually after re-watching the video, that "tequila" they recommended looks fake as hell. Oh and BTW Mexicans have yet to adopt all that "sustainable environmental" PC nonsense, which is also fake as hell. They are obviously trying to sell to Americans at inflated prices. Go to Jalisco and they've been making tequila for hundreds of years, nothing "unsustainable" about it.
They're right about Jose Cuevo. That was the first liquor I got so drunk from. I can recall I had almost the whole bottle that tasted nasty but later everything was spinning around and puked my guts out. Lol! Currently, I craft my own liquor but don't get sick anymore.
What horseshit about bourbon and Old Fitz. VERY misleading. I do agree with Grey Goose vodka. Bottom of most blind taste tests and very expensive so Go with Tito's.
I'm not a drinker, but i really think this is just "Drink these alcohols because the companies paid us to advertise them" kind of ad that comes off as informational.
They're wrong about the grey goose. I feel like grey goose just has so little bite compared to hard cheap stuff it could feel more watered in comparison. But in fact it's actually a delicate balance that goes easily missed. But if you're looking for a really good vodka, I'd suggest Reyka vodka from Iceland. Oooooh man that one's good.
This is cool and one heck of a video but Don't let it distract you from the fact that in 1966, Al Bundy scored four touchdowns in a single game while playing for the Polk High School Panthers in the 1966 City Championship game vs. Andrew Johnson High School, including the game winning touchdown in the final seconds against his old nemesis, Bubba "Spare Tire' Dixon

@@SiliconBong except, bruichladdich is a rather well known scotch... maybe not to just any random passerby, but it is still one of the larger scotch brands...
to someone who shoots it to get drunk at a frat party, yes. to someone actually consuming it to enjoy and taste it, not even remotely true.
maxpowr90 1% taste
I once got a 2 day long hangover from drinking cuervo. Usually a whiskey drinker. Tried some cuervo. And since it goes down fairly easy. Maybe over did it. But it was bad. Even had hallucinations.
so drink Del Maguey because its environmentally conscious.....but does it taste good? they never mention that part.
It's actually fantastic, they also make multiple price tiers of Mezcal fromthe affordable Vida to pricey Pechuga. All high quality stuff.
I can't stand the environmental bullshit pitch. Leave the feel good politics out and just give me some great tasting AFFORDABLE options for liquors.
Old Fitzgerald 11 is $100!!! How is that bottom shelf pricing?
If you can find it. It's about 180 -200 on secondary
Way more expensive in Europe about 350 euro, that's almost 400 USD.
These people don't know what they are talking about.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with Rebel Yell! It tastes just fine! I mean, It's no Pappy but as far as being inexpensive, you can do a hell of a lot worse!
The Old Fitz that is shown is about a hundred dollars a bottle and release twice a year and is very hard to get .It is no bottom shelf bourbon
That’s a load of bullcrap about grey goose ... smoothest vodka ever.. and I tried maaaany maaaany different kinds 😃
For Bourbon, just get a bottle of Buffalo Trace. It usually goes for $20 and tastes way better than Jim Beam and Evan Williams.
Never heard Oaxaca pronounced like that and don’t care to ever again
Some people like to drink until they pass out. I prefer beer instead of liquor because it is too concentrated. If I drink it is to relax and enjoy my evening not to pass out on the floor. The carbonation in beer allows the alcohol to be immediately absorbed in your system so you know when you have had too much. Liquor on the other hand sits in your stomach for two or three shots until your upper intestine finally opens and dumps all three shots into your system at once. As far as the taste after you have had several shots your not going to taste it anymore anyway.
E&J brandy. It's not fit for the homeless drunks that apparently drink it.
JLConawayII E&J makes me have the worst hangovers
I drank as a teen and never drank Brandy again.
In my area that stuff is always referred as erk and jerk
I actually prefer it anyday over black label which is about $30 more, mix it with some coke and mhm!!! Barely gives me a headache, beer always seems to give me hangovers, specifically modelos
My favorite Brandy is the Christian Brothers vs. Can't go wrong.
"STOP DRINKING THINGS I DON'T LIKE!"
Holy shit, how the FUCK do I stop seeing these notifications?
Rebel Yell 10 is fantastic. Regular Rebel Yell is awful. The 10yr is incredibly hard to find and doesn’t come in at a bottom shelf price. It typically runs $70-80 a bottle around me.
However vodka wise I love Polish brands like Sobieski. Beers from craft to even European beers like Grolsch, Leffe, Paulaner, Zywiec, and Pilsner Urquell.
Hey how much did they pay you for the ads ? I want to promote my vodka brand on your channel.
Thankfully its not my favourite brand anyway, and also after a couple of shots they all taste the same.
it's not that it's bad, it's just no better than brands that cost 1/3 or 1/2 the price. ultra premium vodka is a lie.
Drink Tito's.
I like Ciroc better.
I usually go for belvedere for pricey vodka and russian standard or stolichnaya for cheaper ones. The last two really aren't bad and you can act all russian cyka blyat while drinking those.
@@ebonymaw7081 goose isn't expensive. It's under 30 dollars. I have vodkas in my store that cost more than triple
I can’t tell of this is a Troll video or a Ad video?
That's because it is both.
In Old Fitz moment was playing the clip from the movie 'Lost in Translation' with shooting the commercial for Suntory Whiskey, Japanese brand, which I would recommend. Being said that Wild Turkey is my to go if I ever drink. The rest I've never seen in Europe.
Old fitz is impossible to find and expensive AF on the secondary market. This vid’s creator has some questionable whiskey knowledge.
Herradura Silver is my favorite. The second oldest tequila distiller in Mexico. Just drink it neat no salt or lime. So smooth
Tequila from Oaxaca? That simply is not tequila.
That Old Fitzgerald BIB costs about srp $110, how can you call that right for the money. It tastes fantastic though
Good vodka isn't clear or "flavored".
Good Tequila is 100% agave.
Good whiskey isn't blended.
Pinnacle, for when you want to feel classy drinking like a woman
🤣🤣🤣🤣
You have a point. However, whipped pinnacle and root beer is a great "cruise control" drink at parties.
Cruise control = drink that tastes decent and keeps you at the same sobriety level without affecting your pallet for the next drink.
I've been saying for years that Grey Goose is garbage. Also that Belvedere everyone keeps bragging about.
Tito's is the way. Look for the copper cap. If you take a straight shot of it, it goes down smooth and finishes like an after-dinner mint.
Very excellent.
Kirkland American vodka is amazing.
Do you mean Kirkland Signature American vodka, or the Kirkland signature French copy they are talking about?
Kirkland signature French is made by grey goose lol
@@miguelrobb5719 I love them too!! The Irish cream is a favorite during the winter in my house.
What about Absinthe? yes/no?
Drink good beer and be happy.
Steve Roginski I have a 40% limit. I won’t touch it if it isn’t 40% ABV or higher.
Amen to that Steve!!!!!! I only drink beer, i stopped messing with liquor.
Where tf do you get old Fitzgerald 11 for cheap? Secondary market is 400-500$ and its super hard to find. Retail itself is 120$.
Old Fitzgerald...bottom shelf price $300? How does that make sense?
Biggest joke ever.
They totally stole this footage from It's Bourbon Night!!! What makes it worse is "Mashed" has no clue what they're talking about.
Lol for Grey Goose vodka. I’ve paid for a dram in a bar/pub and it was ok. But it’s £40 pounds a 70cl bottle here and I’d never pay that much for it.
Pinnacle is so nasty 🤢
Rebel Yell might me bottom shelf but it is the best bottom shelf and is great in mixed drinks where you would not use your Pappy. Pinnacle is really good, good price, and like she said lots of flavors. Del Maguey is pricey. If you like cheaper, Sauza 1 year.
What about Everclear?
Simon Stadin are you in high school or what???
Joking aside I use everclear instead of lighter fluid when starting a charcoal or wood fire for grilling. Gets it going fast but no “lighter fluid” taste
People....drink what you want, the way you want to drink it!
I like adverts, because they show me which articles NOT to buy. I get a kick out of the opposite to what is intended.
Tequila sauza should be on this
Most 100% Agave tequilas are good, even the cheap ones. This vid recommends one from Oaxaca which is kinda strange. Most are from Jalisco. I bet it has a different taste.
@@jimbig3997 it's not a tequila. Also Sauza makes great stuff. I love their double barrel tequila and also Hornitos
Narratore: eventheir unflavored vodka, proceeds to show flavored vodka...
*I'll just probable buy a Sprite Cranberry!*
Moynank M drain juice
They're right about Jose Cuevo. That was the first liquor I got so drunk from. I can recall I had almost the whole bottle that tasted nasty but later everything was spinning around and puked my guts out. Lol! Currently, I craft my own liquor but don't get sick anymore.
What horseshit about bourbon and Old Fitz. VERY misleading. I do agree with Grey Goose vodka. Bottom of most blind taste tests and very expensive so Go with Tito's.
Wow a commercial disguised as some sort of "what not to do" mini documentary.
Yeah well you shouldn't drink ANY liquor out of moderation. Within reasonable levels, all alcohol is relatively safe.
Yeah *relativity*
One Bourbon, one Scotch and one beeeeeer🍺😎
Whoa stolen youtube footage. Not cool
I'm not a drinker, but i really think this is just "Drink these alcohols because the companies paid us to advertise them" kind of ad that comes off as informational.
Del maguey tequila is one of the worst tequilas . Best tequilas at the moment are Don Julio 70 and 1800 Crystalino
I might also include reasonably priced Fortaleza, G4, and Siete Leguas.
Also Belvedere!
Very judgy. Why? And lots of factually incorrect info.
Or you could just not have any.
Whatever gets me drunk I’ll drink 😎
