Alex... I'm glad you reviewed these. The post-covid golf boom has caused the bigger brands to go nuts with price increases and it's a good thing for golfers to look at other brands. You play Vice golf balls... they are great balls for less money. The next brand you should look at is Tour Edge. They have a few different categories but their Hot Launch E series are offset clubs and half the price of other brands.
@@stevegolfman2739 Remember the first generation of the Costco balls? Those were produced by the factory that did taylormade and they got great write ups. The club companies are heading to Asia and finding a factory and ordering, just like lazrus.
I bought the hybrid set as I was battling arthritis and wanted to reduce impact on my hands. I thought the pitching wedge and 9 iron would be the toughest to get used to, and I actually found that the pitching wedge is my favorite of the clubs ironically.
Weekend struggling golfers (90% of us watching) are exactly who these are aimed at. Money saved can be spent on lessons, more practice rounds, a better driver or shaft/grip upgrades. For most of us these clubs make sense. I have a couple of them in my bag. Allowed me to buy a better driver, and fairway woods. Winner-Winner Chicken Dinner.
Alex, I think what might be helpful to most golfers is explaining how different type clubs should be utilized and why they should be in or out of a person's golf bag. I just heard about a 9W. What is it, what does it replace, why you should have it, this is what or type of golfer it is designed for. I think people would make better club selections if they knew each clubs purpose.
I love the wedges ($100 for 3 on amazon) and I have the 2, 3, 4 hybrid (used off EBay). When I hit it well I love it, but that is more reflection of my game, not the clubs. I like these better than other premium higher $$ hybrids I've owned previously. For most golfers, they will never know the difference and you can't beat the price.
Alex i bought these in 7-PW because i was fed up of my inept short iron skills. Best thing i ever did . Normally shoot around 87/85 and 2 weeks ago shot 81 then 78. Not everybodys cup of tea , bought them directly from the states and they arrived inless than 5 days for peanuts money. I actually think " bigger brands" are mising out on something here as there is obviously a market . Not sure how long they will last but the difference using these compared to my irons is dramatic Thanks for the good video work keep it up
These hybrids are amazing and so cheap. Wish I didn’t waste money on more expensive brands but learned my lesson. So easy to hit and dramatically improved my game.
Interesting that there’s so much focus on appearance. If the club performs equal to or better than another club, then you’d think price would drive whether or not it goes into the bag. I just don’t understand paying 3x for a look of a golf club. Clothing, cars, yes, but golf clubs?! The only look I care about is the one on the scorecard.
Lazrus own website is selling these hybrids at £57 each (!) in RH & LH with Regular, Stiff or Senior flex shafts and they are available from a 12 degree 1 hybrid through to gap wedge.
$129 ?? weird, I bought a 9 piece set 2 to pw all hybrids shipped to my door for $500 Canadian , thought I try them just for fun and wow was I surprised , long and fun ,hit them high and long , I am not ready for them yet so I gave them to a friend but I know what ill be getting down the road when I will need the help.
yeh... ive got the lazrus wedges and they are spot on... i think we need brands to compete with the big brands because those bigger brands are taking the pee just a bit recently, im sure the lazrus clubs probably are made in the same factory, but that does not mean they run down the same line, in fact having worked in a similar environment i know they wont run down the same line which means they will have different levels of quality control and whats accepted but hey im happy with my wedges... absolutely get what you mean about the looks of this one, it looks budget brand and if lazrus can somehow move away from that they could be on to a winner here aswell. The wedges can get away with the looks because they are not a million miles away from much else but when we get talking about clubs with a crown, its easy to see the route taken to save money, its so easy to see where they could improve the looks aswell, just being a matt crown instead of that shiny piano black would help.
I bought a few used online, put in a stiff shaft and oversized grips. Gotta say, they perform well. I also hit the Lazrus wedges, LOVE them. I hit Ben Hogans for 20 years and finally bought a new set after seeing so many positive reviews. Try the Lazrus clubs.
Hi Alex, firstly thanks for all of your content, you have taught me so much about how to play good golf. Would be great if you could review the newly relaunched Adams Golf clubs, specifically the Hybrids. Thanks Mark
Got the all black 4 club option 7-9, and a PW, such a cleaner look than the silver, have them coming the mail and have heard sound feedback thus far on the performance of these bad boys!!
I actually like the look, and the headcovers are fine as well. That's just me, though. I pivked up 1-GW. The grips are a little skinny for me, but i like the look and feel. Thats the nice thing about having so many products on the market. If you dont like it, dont buy it. Thanks for the review. Great content as always.
On Amazon there is a set of these with either silver or black faces for $327. That is only about $46 each. They are available singly for $62. If I didn't already have a full set of Majek hybrids, I would be ordering them right now. Oh, and Alex, if you keep playing in those wet conditions, you may need to get a face shield to keep the dirt out of your eyes. 😉
At that price point, all we are looking for is performance. I have their wedges, irons pw-4i and 3HB/2HB; I love the wedges and irons, but I am struggling with the HB; they don't feel comfortable to my eye, but when I connect the HBs, they feel good.
I have the set. I had not played in 12 years because of arthritis and managed 2 pars in the 9 holes I played. Could easily have gotten birdies if my putting had held up.
Hey folks, I have a considerably cheaper Wazaki Japanese 4hybrid off Amazon ($56 US I believe?) and it’s been a huge advantage for me. I’ve had one for over a year and appears to be very good quality for the money. Rick Shiels does a vid of him playing the whole set.

Nice video. It proves that there are bargains in golf. A few months ago I purchased the Stix 14 club Perform set. Driver, 3W, 5W, 4Hy, 5-PW and 52, 56 and 60 degree wedges, plus putter and bag. All for $1200. I love them. Could you review them please? I'd love your thoughts.

Hi im looking to buy a hybrid for my set Im not the best golfer but just can’t use woods I use a 3 iron or driving iron to tee off Can you please recommend what size hybrid I should purchase ( a 5 like this video or something else) Any advice would be appreciated
Isn’t the concept of offset on a golf club the measurement from the hosel back to the leading edge at the bottom of the face of the club? Maybe it’s the way you’re holding the club in front of the camera, but to me it looked like the leading edge was slightly in front of the hosel; so if anything, there’s a bit of onset.
I have always been a fan of hybrids. I had used Cobra 2-7, and had thought they would be the ones to have the full set of what I call the classic shaped hybrids. Not to be. Several years ago I ordered my first set of Lazrus because they don't use the hot lofts, a pw is 45 degrees for example. I was just going to try them, and the price couldn't be beat. The only downside was the grips, standard size and poor quality. Changed them the day I got them. The club heads and reg shafts have held up well. My club heads are black and not silver. I just ordered a set of seniors, and midsize grips are now standard. Hope the grip quality is improved. Black or silver heads are an option. I never considered them to be offset, the setup is the same as the hybrids I've always used. The last thing is that nobody pays any attention to what you have in the bag other than driver or putter. Hybrids are great.

I got the silver and black about 1.5 years ago after trying an older set of Adams hybrids. I got a 2-PW set. The grips are too small, so I re-gripped the entire set. These are the real deal. The claim isn't they're made in the same factory rather it's the same place - aka China. With utmost credit to him, I'll wager Alex could carry 200yds with a broken tree branch. Interesting how many golf RUclipsrs (not just Alex) have now realised there's a market for these budget friendly clubs as many players are tired of rip off "premium" clubs with grossly exaggerated claims.
It screams Made in China, and not in a premium factory, at 1/4 of the price, who are they kidding. None adjustable, at $123, so they're suggesting hybrids cost $492 each. Where did they do their pricing?

"Our clubs are made on the same planet as all the big name brands!"
It looks pretty cool to me. And if it performs who cares anyway? Don't be such a snob. You know what looks good? Those three shots on the green you just set down.
Im not a snob - just being honest
220 yards thats my drive
Hardly a bargain mate😂
The claim isn't they're made in the same factory rather it's the same place - aka China. With utmost credit to him, I'll wager Alex could carry 200yds with a broken tree branch. Interesting how many golf RUclipsrs (not just Alex) have now realised there's a market for these budget friendly clubs as many players are tired of rip off "premium" clubs with grossly exaggerated claims.
They are made in the Callaway factory in Carlsbad.
Being made in the same factory doesnt mean shit.
THIS HYBRID IS NOT CHEAP, PERIOD.
What are talking about fool? They’re $69 us! Find one cheaper!
How cheap are you 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@CharlotteK2008part of the problem, mugs who ruin the game
@@DMKFACTORthe fact that you can't find junk letter me this cheaper, doesn't make it cheap
It screams Made in China, and not in a premium factory, at 1/4 of the price, who are they kidding. None adjustable, at $123, so they're suggesting hybrids cost $492 each. Where did they do their pricing?
The Eleven hybrids are cheaper and far more premium. Just saying….
that’s a good point
Great commercial.
All about results! Forget looks!
