Hi Dave, great input once again, I’m not sure how people can truly appreciate the endeavour and sometimes awkward discomfort and cold, especially in hands (numbness etc.) when you do these videos. There seems to be a nice feel to these recordings (could be just me). The cooking 🍳, omg 😂😂 I can’t tell you how much I loved this latest one, I did exactly that. Tip….. try to get the flame as low as possible….they cook toooo fast as you showed. Anyway thank you once again for a cracking video showing the stuff we all do when out in the fell (including walking in the clag and drifting off course) truly makes great viewing! 😊

By heck, Dave, you'll be tossing pancakes next! Seriously though, it was very funny but also a nice example of how simple it can be to have a bit of a treat on the fell without needing to do a cookathon especially for breakfast. I find doing an omelette really easy up there... it doesn't matter if you break the eggs that way either! LOL Glad you're enjoying it. That whole area is lovely, so quiet, as is the Duddon valley. Great How is quite an escarpment and not an easy one to get off when the bracken's up. Have you camped on Gait Crags overlooking the Great Moss. I feel sure you must have. Boat How on Eskdale Moor is a quiet corner as well. Can be a bit swampy to get to from Eskdale though, if I remember rightly, easier up Mitterdale.

Another fab video Dave, murky / foggy morning - a la carte dining for breakfast.
Some people use mapping on there phones, something I will not entertain.
In Snowdonia , been incidences when mobile crashed or spent battery causing another member of group to phone for MRT via police.
I always carry map of area and a compass.
One year ascended Snowdon, reached summit cairn in thick cloud. Was not sure in direction to cafe building. So out came my map and compass. Lined map to grid north, showing need to head south west. Took compass bearing and added and marched on bearing for about 35 seconds, out of the gloom was grey outline of cafe building.
After lunch headed down via Miners track back to Pen Y Pass.
    All the best Dave, Philip.

Oh no Dave, by cooking your ‘gourmet’ (or gor blimey!) breakfast you missed out on the excellent offering at The Woolpack. It’s my reward at the end of most Eskdale camps, the challenge being to keep the pub dog at bay! Eel Tarn is a brilliant short distance/first time/winter camp, which I’ve done a couple of times. Just beyond the end of the tarn furthest from The Woolpack, where the ground is raised, there’s a horseshoe-shaped rocky enclosure perfect for a smallish tent, which gives some shelter and a perfect place to sit. Crinkle Crags from The Three Shires Stone at the top of Wrynose is another easier option when that’s what you’re after, as you start so high up. This is what I call a classic one of your videos - keep ‘em coming!

Makes sense if that Bergaus Tent performed better than the Nature Hike because its got 3 sleeved pole crossing points so that will give it loads of rigidity for sure.....Just goes to show you that you can get decent performance from some of the cheaper tents although it's a bit on the heavy side for me. It’s really depends on your route. On a tough route you really want to keep your pack and light as possible by removing unnecessary items. Thanks for watching 👍

New pans have to be 'seasoned' Dave. - Interwebs: "You can season nonstick cookware by lightly rubbing cooking oil over the surface, then heating the pan on the stove over medium heat for two or three minutes. Once it cools down, wipe out any excess oil with a paper towel before storing." 💕

Weather has been shite the last 2 years in my opinion. Forecasting seems a bit more hit and miss nowadays as well. Get all prepped for a walk somewhere with the forecast saying its going but fantastic weather, then wake up in the morning and its all changed to utter crap!

You don't need to be remote to get away from people. I saw very few people when I did red screes from Ambleside last week.

Much prefer your content to cooking camp vids - skip straight past any cooking scenes, actually pretty grim watching/hearing a bloke eating! No idea what the appeal is! Can relate to your content much more and gives great ideas for future camps.

2024. The weather is gash. Struggled to find decent days.😵‍💫 Cooking is coming on! From now on I'll tune in just for the eggs - joking. Thanks for uploading, Dave. 🏔👍
