    A watch I discovered this year is the Grand Seiko with the spring drive. In particular, I like that the 9RA2 movement has the power reserve indicator on the back vs the dial. I’m curious if any of these came close to making your list? The SGLA007 is just stunning, in my opinion.

    I agree on the Anordain 1. Just managed to get a green fume last week. Lovely dial for the price range and one of the few dress watches in my collection. If I have any complaints it is the size. A 40 would have perhaps suited my middle aged chunky wrists a bit better.

    For me, the big hit of this year and far away from the others, is the VC Evrest Overseas.
    For a brand that is known more for ’dress’ watches, they release The perfect tool watch.
    For its design and specs, it’s just mind blowing. 😱😱💯👌😎
    Surprisingly, Grand Seiko has really delivered so many beautiful high-hand pieces this year.
    I’m still struggling to pick my favorite between all the Spring Drive, Automatic, Hi-beat, GMT, ...
    Definitely, on my list for next year. 👌💯😎
    My special brand crush for this year, is Christopher Ward.
    With the C63 Sealander collection and their in-house caliber and module works, they really up their game.
    IMHO, they are on the way to be one of the big ones.
    For micro-brand, with Baltic, I would put Lorier in the light here, has they’ve really released hits with almost all of their timepieces.

    i personally own the PRX powermatic 80 and i do agree that it's truly one of the best everyday watch. it stands alongside my blue Omega SMP300 as my everyday watch on a rotational basis because it simply looks amazing from any angle, and it isn't too expensive for me to be concerned about scuffing it. it's an incredible all-round piece.

    • @rufus5208
      @rufus5208 2 года назад

      What color dial did you go with? Does it look even better in person and on the wrist?

    • @konadora
      @konadora 2 года назад +3

      @@rufus5208 i went with the blue dial and i have no regrets. yes, it does look better in person because under different lighting conditions and angles, it goes from light blue to dark blue to near-black. it's like you're getting 2 dial variants for the price of one, and i honestly wouldn't bother with the black dial.
      and on the wrist, the gaps between the lugs are polished, giving it a nice shine and play with the light, as the light moves from the shiny polished lug edges to the brushed lugs, and back to the polished lug edges while you're doing a wrist roll.

    Hey Teddy, Great video as always. One watch I'd liked to see get covered that is always overlooked by everyone is Titoni. Are you familiar with them, and/or any plans to cover them?

    Beautiful choices. I'm always glad to see a watch guy who is not a watch snob! Whatever makes you smile when you look at your wrist, and that can include Vostok.

    Thought for sure one of the Marathon dive watches would make it on. I feel like I remember more than a couple of videos this year featured the GSAR or MSAR.

      It was very close. The artic 41 mm was right in the mix. So many great watches this year.

    No Moser Streamliner? I think the new Moonwatch may have deserved a squeak in there somewhere too. I’m biased but I also thought the return to 36mm was a pretty big deal for the Explorer and retuned it to its former glory. Maybe the GS Silver birch deserved a mention also or possibly even the Suwa Lake version?

      IMO Teddy almost always comes through with some extremely typical, "hot", lists that err on the side of safety in terms of the models being mentioned.

      @@conduit242 don't really care for the streamliner but that's just my opinion

    If you waited little bit you could've added the new 5711 Tiffany & Co to the attainable luxury 😂

    I think the new retro style diver by orient sneaks in as the best affordable diver this year

    Great job Teddy. The last thing I need is another watch, but I don’t own a chronograph. I found a dealer that had the Tudor, but I had to drive 6 hours to get it. I didn’t go. Still want it.
