  • @Dialandhands
    @Dialandhands Год назад +20

    Diameter, lug width, and lug to lug are so much more important together than one or the other. I bought a Willard and traded it a couple months later for a SPB143 because the lug to lug fit my wrist better. On the other hand, my SSK gmt, turtle, and Samurai are fantastic because they’re all around 46-48mm lug to lug with 22mm lug width and larger diameters. One more example, is my Tudor pelagos 39. Yes, the 21mm lug width is a little frustrating but after owning it for 6 months it was done because that’s what properly suits the watch. The insane taper on the bracelet wouldn’t be the same if they had made it 20mm. Always try a watch on before writing it off!

    • @tbomber
      @tbomber Год назад

      100%! lug-to-lug is what makes a 41mm watch "feel" like a 43, or a 39! you take the IWC pilot chrono 41, and it has a 52mm L2L... that's huge!

    I've been wanting a dive watch- so many choices! I'm leaning towards the Marathon Arctic GSAR in 41mm at around $1850. They have the "jumbo" at 46mm which is a little big IMO. The white dial of the Arctic looks great and sets the watch apart from others, who generally sport a black dial. Also the tritium lume is pretty rare these days and indispensable for a watch of this caliber

      Hi I have just watched your older video and realized that we have a similar wrist size haha. I have been following you for a while and your guide is exceptionally helpful for the beginner like me.
      I have a rather small wrist so it’s tricky for me to choose one. (And those watches I want to get are pretty big)
      I’m a big fan of Roman numerals dial but most brands tend to omit it from their smaller models.
