Teddy's channel was made for those who really love watches and only for them. Whoever makes fun of other people ,cause they wear cheaper watches, and value a person according to his big pocket, can take their Richard Mille or other abominations, and stick it in their... Money can't buy good taste, and certainly can't make a nice character. Love you all my friends and greetings from Greece.
@mariosoprano777 Yes of course, i don't refer to you or anyone else specifically, i just refer to the people that make fun of other's financial condition. So don't take it personally. By the way, Lange is one of my favourite brands. Greetings my friend, and have a productive year.
Hamilton Khaki Field is the go anywhere, do anything every day wear. Not too expensive, but not too cheap. Swiss automatic, reliable, accurate. Changing the leather for quick change FKM rubber means you can change at will and when you want!
I have a Tag Heuer 2000 quartz that I bought new in 1997 (pre LVMH takeover). It has spent 90% of my days since then on my wrist. It has been serviced by Tag a couple of times and works perfectly and is extremely accurate. It never looks out of place with jeans and a t-shirt or a formal suit. It is an everyday essential that has served me well for over 26 years.
In my opinion this is the best way to own a watch. It’s been with you through thick and thin. Cars come and go, kids grow up and leave, even homes change occasionally. But your loyal timepiece has been at your side all this time. And sounds like it’s served you well. Brilliant 👍
I also have a 2000 but it's a early 80s Heuer 272.006 chronograph Albino dial. With the Heuer 185 super quartz movement 👌 and LOVE THAT WATCH. Just the fact it's one of the last "Heuer" only dials really gives it a special allure. Since Heuer became Tag Heuer in 1985
Back in 1999 through 2002, I had two of those. I was very hard on them. The first one was fixed and eventually replaced under warranty, and the 2nd one was lost. The tag was my main everyday watch. Back then I had two Movado Museum watches, one gold, on leather, and one SS on a bracelet that I barely wore. My pride and joy the Bond Seamaster 36 mm that I bought brand new at a jewelry store in the mall. A Fossil Chrono-Diver, and of course a Timex digital. All Quartz watches. At the time I had zero idea what an automatic was. I still have all of them, except the Tag. I still wear the Seamaster regularly. Occasionally I pull out the Fossil for nostalgia. Now I'm heading over to Watchrecon and E-bay to see how much they are.
I bought a TAG Heuer 2000 auto new in ‘04; it was my first nice watch! I wore it exclusively (well, it & a G-Shock!) until about 2017 & had it serviced by TAG once in 2018. I now have a few more watches, but my old TAG is the one I’ll never sell.
I totally agree that dive watches are maybe more functional than a chronograph. I use my dive watch bezel almost everyday to cook noodles and I feel like I am James Bond while doing it. At the end of the day it's about fun.
@@OriqinLCinema A dive watch bezel usually goes from 0 to 60 (zero in most cases is an arrow). You can turn that bezel so that the arrow points at the minute hand and that helps you see how many minutes pass
As a young collector I have a chronograph, a dress watch and everyday watch and I think that is perfect for me. The chronograph is a Q timex 40 mm with a leather strap the dress watch is a vintage oris big crown and the everyday watch is a lorus automatic with a blue dial.
I just bought my first Timex back in November 2023. Got me a Waterbury and it’s been my go to watch since. I gotta admit. I’m impressed by Timex. I gotta admit I actually like the Indiglo feature.
@@americanpaisareturns9051 I love timex myself and I agree I like the indiglo feature and it can be super useful especially car trips when it is dark outside or if you want to read the time in the dark.
You see I can only really have one watch as I'd end up wearing whichever watch was the newest watch in my collection and others would collect dust. For me it'll be a good looking divers watch because my dad since I can remember always had an Omega Seamaster on his wrist first a 300 and then a Planet Ocean. At moment I have Seiko dive watch and one day I'll get a Seamaster either 300m or Planet Ocean.
As a young collector of 23 years old and a just finished bachelors degree + first full time job, I celebrated all of this with my first more expensive complication (Moonphase) watch. I got myself the lovely Mühle Glashütte Teutonia IV Bluemoon which can easily be dressed up with a suit for the office, but also looks great with a more casual poloshirt. Other than the Moonphase, I have as an everyday beater my Timex Marlin Chronograph, as my Quartz the Gshock 2100 in silver and as my Diver the Zelos Swordfish 42. And I love all of them, because watches are simply just amazing! 😃
Any watch that you like personally is a good watch. Watches are amongst the most subjective topics I know. There are no bad watches persay imo. I believe it's 100% about you & what you want, what you like and how it makes you feel. 😊
@@naorbareket6482The Seiko SKX is cerrai ly a good watch for what it is. It offers great value for money. Even more so if you like it, and it gives you what you want and makes you feel good.. it's not just good it's perfect.
My Casio Duro is my diver/beater/quartz all rolled into one, I have a no-name cheap Invicta as my dress watch (I know what you're thinking, but it actually looks legit), a Timex Q GMT Pepsi as my traveler’s watch, and a Casio Lineage as my everyday GADA. I’m quite happy with that. 😊
Agree 100% on the Duro. Invicta has many cool looking watches; just need to get past some of the garish looking ones. Timex is on a roll with near 1x1 reissues, the Gallo series and collabs with Tom Snyder to name a few.
I consider the quartz to be able to fit into other categories as you could have a quartz beater or dress watch. I also consider GMTs to be a complication. My six are Daily, Sport/Weekend, Beater, Evening, Complication and Color/Wild Card.
I own quite a few watches but my favourites are the Sinn 556ib and glasshutte original seventies panorama date. No idea what categories they fall into but I love wearing them. And that’s really all that matters to me
Teddy just wanted to say thank you for stating that all watches are a luxury. I recently aquired a few and I am enjoying the journey, especially the history and study of horology. Thanks for being an honest broker and extremely cool horology nerd, it's been quite impressionable. Keep up the great work.
Even “cheap” watches are a big expense. I have a super rare sales man sample citizen from the 1980s. Easily a few grand. A used omega is easily $2-$5k. That’s real money!
That bit in 'Raiders' where Indiana Jones finds the grail (holy grail cup) is actually humble in appearance, utilitarian, and unassuming. Love that each persons grail watch reflects this.. doesn't always have to be a bling monster :) And sometimes you have to buy a few silly choices, and even expensive choices, to find that humble watch that you can be 'enthusiast'ic about daily. Hopefully, don't have to go through swamps, jungles & pyramids like Indy to find this out!
A TOP RECOMMENDATION: The expanding Seiko SSK GMT line is excellent and Seiko has steadily released fun color ways, limited editions and it has modding support already. I got one for my father and its turned him into a watch guy. He wears that thing across continents and into glacial waters. He's a mad lad but the watch can easily withstand the rough stuff and still look more than nice enough for the dinner date. The bracelet is also quite good for the price point and better than previous seiko bracelets. Jangles with charm but is sturdy. Runs well better than stated +45/-45 also.
@@zsoltfarkas1028 It certainly deserves sapphire and it would have been nice if it came that way from Seiko, but they do have many Seiko GMTs (non SSK for now) with sapphire crystals and with modification support websites you can order and easily install a quality sapphire into your SSK GMT. It’s a very robust watch!
Yes, I have bought from MAMACOO more than once. I even bought a new Omega Speedmaster which came with the fancy box and packaging. I am thrilled with all my purchases here. I would purchase from MAMACOO again for sure.
I'd like to add an 8th type just for fun: that watch that you love but hold back on buying it because of other collectors might say. For the longest time I was in love with the King Seikos and held myself back from getting it because its movement was subpar and everyone in the community was saying that it was an overpriced piece of garbage. I then realised that I loved it and its design made me smile so much that I wouldn't really care about what other collectors had to say, cause in the end, I was the one wearing it everyday. My King Seiko SPB279 makes me happy everyday 🙌🏼 that's the thing about this hobby, many times it doesn't make sense and it doesn't need to 🙂
got my 39mm with the white dial on the 3-link "Bader" bracelet watch on amzwatch 3 weeks ago and am loving it to pieces. Absolute fantastic watch that wears super comfortable on my 6.75 inch wrist. Chose the 3-link over the 5-link bracelet for the toolless quick adjustment. Way more comfortable than my Longines Hydroconquest 41 mm.
Picked up a amzwatch's watch as my first watch last month and I’m absolutely in love with it. Perfect size, looks elegant, very comfortable. Now my only problem is holding off from buying more watches so quickly!
It's good to reward ourselves sometimes . While I'm not one to spend on high-end watch (I spend too much money on travel, lol), I can appreciate your gorgeous and timeless watch. I love how it's a symbol of all your hard work. And i choose NKUWAN every time honestly
My watch was purchased 2 years ago from AMZWATCH and, to this day, it still looks and runs as well as it did the day it arrived. That movement has never missed a beat despite never having been serviced. I can't complain about that.
Watch's can be unnecessary until you make them .. necessary. Integrate them back into your life, daily routine, daily use. Learn and use the complications of each watch you get. I started collecting for a simple reason - how cool is it to get excited about wearing a different watch each day? Its great fun. The variety is off the charts. Vintage, modern, style, size, materials used, looks. Watch's are cool.
Terrific video! I started working from home at the start of COVID and I miss wearing my dressier watches. But, after this video I've decided to change straps and maximize their versatility. Thanks for the push Teddy!
The Tissot Gentlemen is my #1 go to watch even though I have 6 others. Not too expensive so if you lose it or break it or have it stolen it's not a huge deal+ it looks good with everything.
My favorite 2024 is the Prospex Limited Edition 1965 Recreation European Exclusive in Gradation Island Blue. The dial is stunning and the contrast when on a white strap is to die for. I will get my hands on one from MAMACOO
my take: -beater & quartz - I take a 45 buck smart bracelet thats the most comfortable and on the go -everyday is the most important because it can be any of the other categories depending on your lifestyle, my choice is the GS snowflake -dress watch is for me a stealth wealth kinda thing and daily I wear a suit with a GS so I choose an Orient bambino -dive watch is kinda a grail for people for the looks and its nice at home when I'm cooking, GS lake suwa diver is my choice -travel and complication isnt my thing since your smart device is really best for both
My beater/everyday is my new $45 Timex Expedition Scout. Quartz movement, absolutely love this watch. Simple field watch design that depending on the band can be everyday wear or even dressed up a bit.
My collection is eclectic, but every watch has one thing in common, you can get the time at a glance. Busy watch faces with excessive complications leave me cold, but to each their own! Thanks for content. Bring back your fragrance videos.
Watches are a luxury and few people actually need one. But I like being able to glance at my wrist and see the time. For years I wore an easy to read Timex, but over the last few years have been collecting watches that I enjoy. I have a few that take more than a glance to be certain of the time and I find myself rarely wearing those.
Referring/comparing the Everyday Watch to the “blue suit or white tee ordark wash denim jeans” was one of the best things I’ve heard. Great content and insight buddy.
The dive watch is the ultimate watch to be in one's collection: 1. It is the ultimate sports watch 2. It can be worn everyday 3. It can go from work to a social setting with ease 4. There is a wide variety of prices for anyone's budget 5. It comes in enough color dials and bezels to accommodate your ward robe & personality style
I love vintage dress watches. I wear my 1970 Bulova dress watch all the time. It has a gold rolled dial, case, and partially expandable band with a diamond at 3 and 9 o'clock. I'm not sure if they are real diamonds but they sure are pretty. It has an 8EA 17j movement that I serviced myself and gave a new mainspring.
A couple years ago I picked up a Casio GW-7900. Was hesitant as I thought it'd be too big, look generic, etc. But I wear that way more frequently than I imagined. It also has some more "out there" complications/functions that I use; world time, moon phase, tide. Plus it's solar so no worrying about it. Partial downside is the strap does pinch a little. Great relatively inexpensive watch.
I use the dive bezel on my Luminox fairly regular. Amy time I can use my watch to prevent even touching my phone I’m all for it. Never fails you check you phone for time and spend 30 minutes on it doing other stuff.
My favorite 2024 is the Prospex Limited Edition 1965 Recreation European Exclusive in Gradation Island Blue. The dial is stunning and the contrast when on a white strap is to die for. I will get my hands on one from AMZWATCH
My beater is the Seiko Sport 5 SRPG35 (Field) , my everyday is the Seiko SPB317 (Slim Willy) or the YEMA Meangraf Super B70, and my dress is the Bulova Lunar Pilot.
I’ve owned many watches over the years, some moderately expensive, and I will always maintain that if I could only have once watch to wear for the rest of my life it would be my Breitling Aerospace. I’ve taken mine from the streets of Hanoi to the summit of Chimborazo and diving in the Red Sea and it has always performed without flaw. The titanium bracelet and case make it incredibly comfortable and the functions on it make it perfect for any situation. It is a perfect watch.
This is absolutely the best type of watch. Whether it’s a Casio, a Rolex or in your case a wonderful sounding breitling, the one you wear the most and brings you joy in its wearing is the best watch. Nice one
My beater is a Lum-tec. Small Ohio company, family owned I believe, rugged, workaday quartz watches for $500-600. Actually, I have two of them now. Great value, water resistance, good lum, rugged stainless cases usually PVD coated, warranties, good service, variety of dial designs, bracelets, masculine look.
Can’t beat gold polished Roman numerals that sparkle like jewels in the sunlight. Loving the sun ray dial man that pops!AMZWATCH watches. What a beautiful subtle piece.
I've always wanted a luxury watch but couldn't justify the price. That's why I turned to gussl, and I'm so glad I did. Their replica watches look and feel just like the real thing, but at a fraction of the cost.
Great NY video. Enjoyed your content, and after 20 years of collecting, I "flushed" my collection during 23, spurred on by my planned trip to Switzerland. I sold a couple of watches, but more importantly gave about 7 away to start, hopefully, new watch enthusiasts (along with links to your vids!). Spot on the categories- got the Gentlemen and an AT for Everyday, PRX and a Jetstar for quartz high accuracy, Tudor 1926 dress, along with GS in a GS44 case), a Hamilton Murph for field, and the Glycine Golden Eye Combat PVD black for my beater. World time duties covered by Balls Roadmaster Worldtime black dial/red bezel, and GS GMT blue dial. Enjoyed the journey with ya last year, looking forward to what's next. (and settling in on enjoying my updates)
Congrats. I'd echo what Teddy says about watch collecting being a marathon and not a sprint - take your time, research watch brands, types, and your use cases. Buy a watch because YOU love it, not because it's trendy or trending, because selling one you've changed your mind about comes with a financial cost - almost always losing some money, which is okay if you've had the watch for a while and have enjoyed it in that time. Lastly as you buy up in price and over time, then think about classics and their potential resale value and marketability. All the best in your journey.
Picked up a AMZWATCH's watch as my first watch last month and I’m absolutely in love with it. Perfect size, looks elegant, very comfortable. Now my only problem is holding off from buying more watches so quickly!
Me at your list: - quartz DW, Fossil, OP - dive Tag Heuer aquaracer - beater Casio Gshock 5600 - Every carry Seiko monster - dress Hublot bigbang unico
I've recently began my obsession as a watch collector. And i must say- out of all the luxury brands I've been researching, for me the amzwatch's watches are the most intriguing.
One of the things that makes buying watches online difficulty is lug to lug size. A 40mm watch on me could look fine or ridiculous just because of the length of the watch. I think a video comparing different styles of watches for certain wrist sizes would be interesting. With a 6.5" wrist, I tend to stick around the 38-41mm watch size.
Over the years, I've come to appreciate the art of dressing down a dress watch, like wearing a red flannel shirt and my Tissot Heritage 1943 Petite Seconde.
I just got a Seiko King Samurai for Christmas that is my first real deal watch. Grew up loving Casio's and still wear them, but this watch is amazing. One of the best deals out there in my opinion. Ceramic and Sapphire for 500 bucks and a classic look. Mine also runs about +2 seconds a day which is awesome. Couldn't recommend it more.
Teddy,…excellent video. One quick note,…I would recommend using “Duro” watch moniker in place of “Beater”. Durability is at the core of the “beater” watch concept,…and “Duro” comes across as a compliment to the watch’s quality. All the best.
Over the 30 years of wearing many types of wrist watches, the perfect use of the Diver watch (for me) was to keep track of my breaks while on the job. I have never been diving. My Citizen Eco-Pepsi is my fav diver. The watch I wear everyday since I bought it is the Tsuyosa Auto.
I am surprised how closely my own collection matches up to this video. Everyday: Monta Noble Dive: Omega SMP 2254.50 Beater: G-Shock DBD-200 Quartz: a vintage 1973 Omega Deville Quartz. But I plan on letting it go and I am honestly looking at a Breitling Aerospace. 😊 Dress: vintage 1965 Hamilton Dateline A-279 in 14k gold Travel: Christopher Ward C63 GMT. Also a great everyday. Complication: I just ordered an Omega Speedmaster Racing (40mm) on Wednesday.
This is now my favourite watch channel on RUclips , such great content and done superbly, well done sir and I got my favourite watch at amzwatch, it hasn’t left my wrist for weeks
As a watch enthusiast with NO budget, thank you AMZWATCH for great-looking mechanical watches that I can afford! their are very clean, classy look, $150 each. I still watch videos about expensive “proper” watches, but I enjoy what I have
Great video, very accurate analysis. In my 4.5 years in the game as a watch collector and enthusiast, I collected a lot from amzwatch I was thinking I was able to get a blue SD but I'm not vip enough, but I'm not giving up. Hehe. Great video.
I bought a G shock DW5600E for the nasa connection and as a beater. Fell in love with it and thought, I dont want this to get damaged. Bought another g shock GW5000U, same thing fell in love with it 😂. So still no real beater in my very small collection. Great video as allways. These are awsome for me who just started the Journey. Thanks.
One benefit I found to using a cheap Casio as a travel watch is that the ones with resin cases and straps don't seem to trip off airport metal detectors, saving one less hassle and potentially lost item when passing through security.
Daily, beater, quartz, diver, and even dress The $50 Casio Duro (depending on the colorway and what strap you put on it) could theoretically cover five of the seven categories Teddy talked about. Am very close to purchasing one, my first watch
Can’t go wrong with one of them. It’s crazy how much nicer they are than watches that Casio sells for two or three times more that are literally just a penny’s worth of plastic and a microchip. I have one of the blue ones on a Maikes oil wax leather strap from Amazon, using the buckle from the Casio strap, and with a cyclops added to the crystal to make the date legible.
I've recently began my obsession as a watch collector. And i must say- out of all the luxury brands I've been researching, for me the MAMACOO's watches are the most intriguing.
Some watches can double dip in some categories: you dive watch can also be your beater, your daily watch is versatile enough to be dressed up or down, or even better, it can also be quartz like the Tissot prx or the gentleman quartz. But the most important thing is to consider what you like, as long as you love your watch, go for it. (Also, your budget. Having a student budget is not easy)
The Citizen by Citizen is a) dressy, b) ultra accurate quartz, c) Zaratsu gorgeous, d) sporty enough, e) solar - never needs a battery and f) missing from Teddy’s scrutiny. It puts the GS 9F watches to shame at half the price.
I just got into watch collecting. I've loved watches since I was young but I never had anyone teach me or bring deeper into the world. amzwatch brought closer to a community and hobby I always wanted to get into more and that is incredibly meaningful to me !
Started with 3 different gshocks in the BOH restaurant industry, grabbed a fossil machine chrono to mix things up, just pre-ordered the Henry archer verden GMT in silt, and now i am eyeing t some of those B&M Rivieras cause I want a blue watch but that will have to wait
Love this video. As someone starting my collection, watching this helped confirm that I’m off to a good start. It just so happened to work out that I have the seven covered here with one watch each.
I’m starting to lean toward a quartz watch more and more. I like the grab and go nature and since I am retired now, I just don’t wear a watch all day anymore. But when I do go out, I need a watch. One that is running is a bonus!
Hey Teddy. Please stop having to explain yourself that watches are unnecessary because you know what? They are! What happens in an event where all mobile phones malfunction? Us watch nerds will be the ones who will have the time readily available. Although I am being extreme, the point is this. These timepieces are very much necessary because they make us enthusiasts happy! Your content brings us joy! I think I speak for ALL enthusiasts when I say that you don’t need to put “disclaimers” for the sake of not “offending” someone. I love your content, and you should never have to explain yourself for talking about your passion. Think of it this way. Watches are an extension of fashion. The jacket you were wearing in the video “really nice by the way” I’m sure was “unnecessary” right? You don’t need 10 jackets. But you do, because style is important for expressing our individuality. Thanks for continuing to make awesome content!

My Timex Expedition chronograph T49905GP checks multiple boxes: quartz, chronograph and jumping hour hand for travel or ease of seasonal re-setting.(I’m lazy and half my watches, the too-thick-for-sleeves watches, are still on Daylight Time.) It has a soft, flexible “genuine leather” strap and the price is right.
Hi Teddy, I was trying to make a purchase from India and it threw me an error that the items added can’t be shipped to my address. Do you not support shipping to India? Is there any solutions for this?
Today I wear my 66 Omega Constellation because for me it is a typical Sunday Watch, tomorrow is my off day and then I will wear either my 1962 IWC Ingenieur 666 AD or my 1971 Heuer Autavia 1163, I didn’t decide until now. I am a Vintage Enthusiast, but at Work I wear most one of my actual watches. For example yesterday it was the Tissot Seastar 2000.
Thank you as always...... My humble suggestion for an ultimate universal watch would be an Alpinist GMT. Beater, dress, go anywhere, do anything, GMT and with horological significance....
Just to stress once more. Dress watch category is not about the suits so much, but rather just formwise fit to slide in and out of the sleeve of your shirt. Plus these are modest enough to do not disrupt the working atmosphere by their visual appearance
For my lifestyle I have discovered that a DIVE watch with a 12 hour bezel works best for me but they are rare. I prefer a 12 hour bezel over a true GMT 24 hour bezel.
Another great video, thanks Teddy. Would love to have you do a video or an article on books on horology in your library. I'm interested in understanding the many types of movements and the history of time keeping. Thanks again for all that you do. Aloha!
I have three and love them, but they can be a huge hassle or expense for some collectors. Maybe if you also include heritage-inspired re-releases though!
I also own four pocket watches, one belonged to my great grandfather then my uncle and now me. I believe the first two monograms on a 😅the back were added when passed to my uncle I recently added mine when I had it restored to full functional condition. Looks great in the vest pocket of a suit. My two wrist watches are vintage also it’s a pleasure to wear any one of them. I don’t need them to tell the time I need them for the experience.
I have also been collecting watches along these types/categories too. Now moving on to collecting watches by their design technology (spring drive, co-axial, solar-powered etc).
I agree with this entire vid but I'd say that there's one category that's missing and it's the "wildcard design" watch, one that looks out there and different from everything else you might own. for some people this might be something super classical, for some others this might be a LED watch like a Computron or a Pulsar, even a milspec field watch or a watch that's just built well enough and looks really fun
I wear a 50 odd year Timex, circa 1970s! The watch was presented to me as a wedding present and for 40 years it remained hidden away as it didn't have sufficient snob appeal. Sometime in 2014 I decided to wear it for a stint in Africa, and voila, the moment it went on my wrist, worked like a charm. The watch says, Automatic and Water Resistant is gold plated with a leather strap. For 10 years, have worn the watch in extremes and never has it failed me, no maintenance ever. The value for money unsurpassed! Timex may not be a brand on a Fashionista list, but hard to beat what you get for what you pay.

My first watch was a Seiko Dec 1975 Pogue. It is 48 years later, and I am still wearing it as my everyday watch.
I do not feel good without a good watch on my wrist. ⌚
You consider seiko fkx as a good watch?
Any watch that you like personally is a good watch. Watches are amongst the most subjective topics I know. There are no bad watches persay imo. I believe it's 100% about you & what you want, what you like and how it makes you feel. 😊
@@naorbareket6482The Seiko SKX is cerrai ly a good watch for what it is. It offers great value for money. Even more so if you like it, and it gives you what you want and makes you feel good.. it's not just good it's perfect.
same
Lol me too
My Casio Duro is my diver/beater/quartz all rolled into one, I have a no-name cheap Invicta as my dress watch (I know what you're thinking, but it actually looks legit), a Timex Q GMT Pepsi as my traveler’s watch, and a Casio Lineage as my everyday GADA. I’m quite happy with that. 😊
For the record, Bill Mr. Microsoft Gates wears the Casio Duro as his everyday watch!
Agree 100% on the Duro. Invicta has many cool looking watches; just need to get past some of the garish looking ones. Timex is on a roll with near 1x1 reissues, the Gallo series and collabs with Tom Snyder to name a few.
Invicta has good quality and Casio is the Toyota of watches.
I consider the quartz to be able to fit into other categories as you could have a quartz beater or dress watch. I also consider GMTs to be a complication. My six are Daily, Sport/Weekend, Beater, Evening, Complication and Color/Wild Card.
Teddy is the ultimate watch enthusiast. Absolutely non brand driven, just pure fascination in the field
That he is. He is also a pretty good salesman too. He carries a variety of watches to fit most any budget
Really…. Tudor…. Now I’ve pointed it out, take note. He hasn’t made a video that doesn’t pump the Tudor.
Well, nothing wrong with a Tudor!@@peterburke4626
I totally agree with you but I think the movie is the last crusade. both excellent movies BTW.
And when coupled with Rolex not being available at the AD, the Seiko GMT makes so much sense! Not to mention the price of the Seiko!
That was the first "luxury" watch I purchased and I couldn't be happier with it!
It would have deserved a sapphire glass
My King Seiko SPB279 makes me happy everyday 🙌🏼 that's the thing about this hobby, many times it doesn't make sense and it doesn't need to 🙂
1. Everyday - seiko SRPE
2. Dive Watch - Orient Ray 2 or kamasu
3. Beater - Gshock DW5600 (solar)
4. Quartz - Casio Vintage & Youth series (if you wanna go digital), Timex weekender or Easyreader
5. Dress watch - Orient Bambino or Timex marlin
6. Travel (GMT) - seiko SKX GMT or Casio royale
7. Complication - i was just talking about affordable
got my 39mm with the white dial on the 3-link "Bader" bracelet watch on amzwatch 3 weeks ago and am loving it to pieces.
My favorite watch channel without a doubt.I’m happy to spend my money on AMZWATCH watches. I’ve never been let down by their products
Same... the more times I wear one, the more interesting my collection gets
@@JustMeTalkingyou should get a better taste in cars tho
@@OutcasteFilms-ck4do ... it's not my only car. But yes, point taken :)
My dady bought one NKUWAN and he loves it. It had been there for over 10 years when he went out with it.
Terrific video! I started working from home at the start of COVID and I miss wearing my dressier watches. But, after this video I've decided to change straps and maximize their versatility. Thanks for the push Teddy!
I occasionally wear vintage dress watches with casual attire.
The Tissot Gentlemen is my #1 go to watch even though I have 6 others. Not too expensive so if you lose it or break it or have it stolen it's not a huge deal+ it looks good with everything.
Tell me you make more money than me without telling me you make more money than me. 😂
Mine is a Ball Engineer III Pioneer. Pretty similar watches in style. Tissot Gentleman looks great
idk if I'd consider losing a $400 watch not a big deal, but I get what ur saying
My favorite 2024 is the Prospex Limited Edition 1965 Recreation European Exclusive in Gradation Island Blue. The dial is stunning and the contrast when on a white strap is to die for. I will get my hands on one from MAMACOO
my take:
-beater & quartz - I take a 45 buck smart bracelet thats the most comfortable and on the go
-everyday is the most important because it can be any of the other categories depending on your lifestyle, my choice is the GS snowflake
-dress watch is for me a stealth wealth kinda thing and daily I wear a suit with a GS so I choose an Orient bambino
-dive watch is kinda a grail for people for the looks and its nice at home when I'm cooking, GS lake suwa diver is my choice
-travel and complication isnt my thing since your smart device is really best for both
My beater/everyday is my new $45 Timex Expedition Scout.
Yes, has to be clear and legible
Watches are a luxury and few people actually need one. But I like being able to glance at my wrist and see the time. For years I wore an easy to read Timex, but over the last few years have been collecting watches that I enjoy. I have a few that take more than a glance to be certain of the time and I find myself rarely wearing those.
I have CW, Longines, Tag and Omega and I love them all. They all have good memories of different stages in my life.
Referring/comparing the Everyday Watch to the “blue suit or white tee ordark wash denim jeans” was one of the best things I’ve heard. Great content and insight buddy.
The dive watch is the ultimate watch to be in one's collection:
1. It is the ultimate sports watch
2. It can be worn everyday
3. It can go from work to a social setting with ease
4. There is a wide variety of prices for anyone's budget
5. It comes in enough color dials and bezels to accommodate your ward robe & personality style
I don’t like diving or swimming, but I do like racing cars…so I have a chrono and no dive watch 😊
@@Franzino Your choice is perfectly fine and fits your lifestyle! The key is you enjoy wearing it!
Nice one
I like that you were honest and said that watches are unnecessary. Not everyone has the money to purchase watches.
Outstanding video.I have to go with the AMZWATCH, especially with that green dial as my favorite
Wow enjoy. I'm just starting with a Emporio Armani AR-1895 but I see this as the beginning of a lifelong journey (I'm 17). Do you have any tips?
Thank you @@wowlsj

Does anyone know what watch that is at 8:08 in the video?
Brew Metric Retro Dial
That Tudor Black Bay 36 has my eye for sure. I love how it can fit so many roles.
Absolutely, and have you noticed how quick 4RA loads? Betting in seconds, so cool!

As a watch enthusiast with NO budget, thank you AMZWATCH for great-looking mechanical watches that I can afford! their are very clean, classy look, $150 each. I still watch videos about expensive “proper” watches, but I enjoy what I have
I feel like a nice diver covers the “everyday” category too.
The thing you said, Teddy, about symbols of representing and expressing who you are with watches you wear is just💯💯💯
Thank you for making high quality videos!Love amzwatch ’s watches
I love watching your videos and AMZWATCH to keep myself updated on the world of watches
Is there a video of Teddy talking about his wardrobe? That would be a welcomed vid 👏
Fr bro is actually gonna make me get some turtlenecks 🥵
Daily, beater, quartz, diver, and even dress
The $50 Casio Duro (depending on the colorway and what strap you put on it) could theoretically cover five of the seven categories Teddy talked about.
Love MAMACOO watch,Such a great looking watch to match with the precisionist movement.

I appreciate how you said “consider” instead of “get.” I think it sets you apart from other content creators.

In the diver category I like the Citizen Pro master (used for a decade by the Italian Navy), and the Marathon.
Wearing a Casio GBD-H2000 at the moment. GPS, fitness tracker, blue tooth enabled. Closest to a smart watch I’ll ever get. Very functional beater
I would call the "Beater" category "Adventure". Something you'd be willing to wear snowboarding, MTBing, trail running, diving, ect....
Any one know what model of omega seamaster was that at 5:00?
Omega planet ocean
For my lifestyle I have discovered that a DIVE watch with a 12 hour bezel works best for me but they are rare.
I prefer a 12 hour bezel over a true GMT 24 hour bezel.
If you're looking for one, Marc from Long Island Watch makes a few dive watch models with 12 hour bezels
Another great video, thanks Teddy. Would love to have you do a video or an article on books on horology in your library. I'm interested in understanding the many types of movements and the history of time keeping. Thanks again for all that you do. Aloha!
The missing category: Vintage. If you consider yourself an enthusiast, you've got to try a few vintage watches.
I have stuff from 1903 and up. They are so tiny though they look funny on my wrist. I just like them.
