It was fun to see Smeegle curling up next to Mojo. They are such good buddies, and Mojo will help keep Smeegle warmer during the winter. I hadn't realized how much I missed watching you feeding grain to the goats. The herd is definitely MUCH smaller right now! The larger goats didn't waste any time coming in from the pasture to the barn to get their grain! It was so good to see Rachel for part of the video. I'm surprised to see a camel at the exotic auction. He was HUGE! The ostrich was taller than all of you, too. Stay warm! Winter is coming!

Shirtless Jake's Homestead emu Little foot is doing well but he lost 2 goats he got that day. It's getting close to holidays and I'm sure some of us dread them. This morning I woke up to 26 degrees with wind-chill of 21 degrees 🥶 I officially broke out the winter gear washed it and sealed it so it would be water proof. We usually don't get our first freeze until middle November or the last week. It's early this year so I imagine we're in for a colder than normal winter. I’m just north of Detroit, Michigan. I stepped out about 6 hours ago and it was snowing. It’s currently 37f. Thankfully the ground is too warm for it to stick, but it’s way too soon. Tomorrow is Halloween and we’ve been all in here for the last 28 years. It’s full sized candy bars, chips, pistachios, jerky and bottles of water. It’s supposed to snow. I’m going to guess it’ll be freezing rain, though. Oh well, I mean when I was a kid we layered. Welcome to Michigan, if you don’t like the weather, then wait 5 minutes… I remember wearing my snowmobile suit under my costume because our Indian summer came to an abrupt end and it did in fact snow while we trick or treated. Way back in the 70s. It was quite warm until just a couple of days before, just like this year. I’ve been having flashbacks as a result. My snowsuit was purple, my face painted green. I was a purple person. Think purple people eater. I was probably six and convinced that there were purple people and they needed our help, lest some monsters eat them. 😂 Purple people not on the menu! 😂 Happy Halloween everyone! Much love!

I have used those covers for spigots the last two years. I live in PA so winters can be ruff at times. They are great!
