Reconnecting through Reunification - a Father's Journey

Jason Flowerday, a father of three, became alienated from his oldest. In this interview he recounts the difficult journey of reconnecting with his daughter, Victoria, who was alienated from him following the high-conflict separation from his wife in 2014. The alienation manifested quickly, with Victoria refusing to see her father within two to three months, while her younger siblings continued a 50/50 shared custody arrangement.
Despite several unsuccessful attempts at reunification programs, a breakthrough came two years later when the father was permitted to participate in the Family Bridges program. This program required a 90-day pause in contact between the children and their mother, during which professionals helped rebuild the relationship between the father and his children. Over time, their bond was restored, and Victoria re-established a strong relationship with her father and siblings.
However, the mother did not cooperate with the program, extending the no-contact period beyond the initial 90 days. This prolonged separation allowed the father and children to form strong bonds but also led to conflicts, especially for Victoria, who struggled with loyalty conflicts and the absence of her mother. The situation escalated to the point where emergency court orders were necessary, ultimately terminating the mother's access to the children due to her harmful behavior.
Over the next few years, the children adjusted and thrived, with Victoria focusing on her education and personal growth. Recently, they have begun reintroducing contact with their mother through supervised phone and Zoom calls, and there are plans for her to visit them. The father emphasizes the importance of cooperation and professional guidance in the reunification process and expresses hope for a positive future, despite the emotional and financial toll of the long legal battle.

As this man testified to, it was about the money before it was about more money. Good luck when enough people run out of money or the money is worthless, because then it will be about survival.

1. Their stories of successful reunification and how.
2. Advice videos directed to currently alienated children.
Very few videos like these can be found - even from online self-labeled reunification advisors who have many videos -mostly to sell services to parents, but have few success videos. The only known reunification programs with successful track records are Linda Kase Gottlieb Turning Point for Families and Warshak Family Bridges which use consequences for the alienator.
