I've been using my X-T30 for the past three weeks now and Omar, I'm tellin ya, your set up guide tutorial video is absolutely great! It's practical, witty and easy to follow!! I was playing with my camera as I was watching your tutorial video and I must say that it was extremely helpful! Thank you for the insightful videos!!
@@ireneandrayanii It is a very nice little APS-C camera. Very well built too. You get a lot for $900 body (I'd say 90% of X-T3). Fuji offers great lens selection as well. The only thing is... the button...the button!! The Q-button drives me little crazy, but coming June update hopefully fixes that issue ("double press" like everyone is saying?). That is my only pet peeve for a camera that offers a lot. www.dpreview.com/reviews/fujifilm-x-t30-review
I've been diving back into Photography and purchased the xt30ii with the XF18-55mmF2.8 as an upgrade to my Canon t2i. I've watched many of your videos and really appreciate your lighthearted style and comprehensive coverage. Thanks for making this video, super helpful and should get me started quickly. These newer cameras are all so impressive coming from my old t2i. Take this subscription!
Likewise I started with a Canon t2i many years ago and just upgraded to the X-T30 ii. I'm just a casual vacation shooter, so the menu options here are overwhelming, but I'm appreciating the more compact size vs. the Canon.
Bought this camera today. Im in love. What a beautifull camera! Just oozes quality. Looks phenomenal, feels phenomenal and is packed with features! I switched from canon sl2 to this and I couldnt be happier. I couldnt decide for a month between joining the sony system or fuji system. Im so glad I chose the fuji.
I bought mine a few days ago and I have the exact same feeling. If you didn't do that already, go watch this guide/tutorial, it is very helpful ruclips.net/video/KrvDCn1oQ4g/видео.html
Been watching your x-t30 videos for a while now because I recently bought my own 2ndhand. Thankyou for your guides and reviews for this camera Omar! My camera finally arrived and made a little test video. All thanks to you, it wasn't hard to set it up for me. My first Fuji ❤️. Thanks again Omar! 😍
I will watch all of your videos. Yesterday I purchased this camera and I'm a total beginner. I love taking photos but until now I shot my photos with an 10 years old DSLR camera. So I thought even when I go into full auto mode I will get better and sharper pictures. So I started to take pictures and the photos were really unsharp, I was so frustrated because only the small focus point was sharp and the rest was much worser than my old pictures from the DSLR camera. I think now it's time to learn. Because I know it's me not my camera.
Great video. One thing I found (and I don't think you mentioned) is that when in the menu you can use rear and front dials to move around. A kewl little feature.
Thank you for this. Just received my camera and, as a complete novice and simply someone who wanted a future-proofed camera, the settings confused me 😂 This has greatly helped.
Hi Omar, slightly off topic, but something that I find confusing on both my XT20 and XT2, ( and probably the XT3/30 if I had one), is the use of the "C" setting on the exposure compensation dial. Have you covered this setting in any of your previous videos? If not perhaps you could make a short video on this? Thanks
I have been using Nikons for 35 years. Lately, when I was still using D810 at that time, I have been searching for a small, practical, and quality camera for travels and especially mountaineering, where the size and weight really matters a lot. Couldn’t find one among Nikons and I decided for Fujifilm X-T30ii with 18-55mm. Light, compact, good quality, stills & movies, I adore Fuji film simulations. My decision was heavily based on reviews published by Omar. I think his judgements are very much relevant. I can only recommend this camera, except maybe one thing. I am constantly (unintentionally) messing with controls at the back of the camera. It just seems that they are too sensitive for touching and I am constantly changing some critical settings and then I am searching the ways to get them back in order. I believe the position of the Q button on this camera is a complete failure and I needed to switch off the entire button permanently right away as I was pressing uncontrolled on this button all the time. This is unbelievable. Also, the joystick is somehow too sensitive and get pushed frequently But the camera itself is excellent, I cannot recommend enough the size, weight, and quality you actually get here. Does anyone have similar problems messing around uncontrollably with buttons at the back of this camera?
Even though you can't disable F Stop from the front dial, it only works if you're using lenses without the Aperture ring like the 27 f2.8. For other lenses, it skips to 2nd option selected and hence, ISO Dial permanently!
I love how you word and have some much passion, the little innuendos on other videos have me in stitches. Keep them coming dude. Just bought this camera and this helped a lot ,🤘
Great video man. Can you please do a low light/high iso test on the fuji xt 30. I'm considering buying this thing but the only concern I have is that it's an aps-c sensor and I can get a full frame canon eos rp for a little bit more. Will really appreciate it. Keep up the good work.
Watching you navigate menus and wondering...do you miss the d-pad?? I love my x-t20 so much and the d-pad is my favorite (so much customization!). The x-t3 has the d-pad AND joystick and i find myself using d-pad nearly always. I know you always say you love your dpad on the x-t20, so how are you doing making the switch to the joystick? Yet another great video btw (duh)
OMG, thanks, just a big lovely thanks! I'm a FujiVirgin and before buying the X-T30 I watched tons of your videos. Now that I have it I just configured few things following your suggestions and it saved me a lot of time investigating this myself. Now I can enjoy my camera from minute one. BTW Fuji updated the firmware and the Q button can be changed or deactivated (which was my choice). Thanks again!
Ty for all your informative and entertaining Vids!! Well, I got the XT-30 today (in great part based on your videos) . After 'Manual-Size' shock, I like your video even more.
Good video, would be nice if you showed us step by step how to navigate the menu to get to certain settings. Yes, you tell us what to do but you doing it a little to fast. Thank you for your help thou I really appreciate it.
I didn't know fuji's software had so many functions, including the different menu's and modes you can customize to your hearts desire. at first hand it looks really fast and user friendly.
Great video! App not very useful,, would be nice to have a way to backup settings. Question when I got the new x-t30 in the Q menu I saw just BASE. Now after playing around I am seeing C1/base. How to see just BASE. (Camara defaults). Thanks
Great vid, as always. In your opinion, is it worth getting a Canon 5D mk iv for professional work? I want a Xt30 just for me, but like my Canon stuff for events etc. Sorry, i know the question is a bit off topic, but you use Canon too -as well as PRS - completely off topic! I would appreciate your opinion though. Fuji are not in question, they seem flawless! Thanks in advance 🎸🤗
Thanks mate, has helped me set up my new X-T30 (I am new to the Fujifilm ecosystem) also the Q button can be turned off completely now thanks to firmware update YAY!
Hi Omar, great videos! Just bought a X-t30 . Do you use the Mechanical Shutter or the Electronic shutter, or do you use both depending on the situation?
I just returned from a short holiday with the family and for first time processing quite a bit of images i captured with my new cameras - xf10 and xt30. However, so far i found myself using for most of the time the xf10, and while processing the raw files from both cameras i can't helped but think why the images/files from xf10 are way better than the xt30. Xt30 gives me more noise images, with lower iso than images captured with higher iso on xf10, and in no way better tonal transmission .....ah, and the battery life of xt30 is the most annoying thing
Hello Omar sir. Sir I love to watch your videos they're informative, entertaining and helped me to pick the best suitable camera. Sir I request you to make a video on ND filter which that are required on the Xt30 and also some accessories that come handy to make the camera flawless. Love from India☺️
I have recently bought Sam Yang 12 mm manual focus lens for my fujifilm xt 30 camera. Manual focus doesn’t seem to be working. Can you please help. Thanks
Great video. Thanks. I am getting my first camera mostly for the stills. Confused between X-t30 and 80D. The only thing which is stopping me to get X-t30 is 80d looks more robust. Please guide.
Omar, please excuse this novice question. I'm wondering if the Fujinon xf 90mm R LM WR lens will fit/work on the X-T30. It seems to work on the larger cameras but I can't find reference to it being used on the little XT30. Thank you for your help.
Great video. Got a question - when I access my Q menu, my touchscreen doesn't work like yours. I can't press the Face detection button and see the submenu. My touchscreen is enabled, I set up the swipes like yours. Any idea why my Q menu isn't working with touchscreen? Thanks in advance.
Hi Omar. I'd like to ask you one thing about the xt-30: Can we pick up a spot on the touch screen to light metering (I hope you can understand, my english is not that good). Thank you
HELP! On the 5th option of “View Mode”, EYE SENSOR + LCD IMAGE DISPLAY, i do not het image display after shoot image??? Do I have to set something up in menu?
Really enjoyed your video. I'm a new user to Fuji. I was just wondering if there's a setting that I can set to have my images downloaded to my MAC with the date as well as the DSC#? I've looked and it doesn't look like there is an option to make this happen. Is that correct?

Hey Omar, I’m deciding between the X-T20 and X-T30. I’m using the camera mostly for travelling and it is super useful for me to have my photos geotagged. I suppose in X-T30 it’s just a matter of paring with Fuji on my phone over Bluetooth (is it?), but X-T20 doesn’t have BT. Do you have any way of geotagging X-T20 photos? If there is one, that would save me from the joystick a Q button situation in the X-T30 ;)
Not even a minute in and he's firing the SD card across the room. Brilliant :)

Omar, I’m a Nikon shooter and just waiting in about 45mins my XT30 and 23mm f2 to be delivered..
So it makes sense watching this video 😊
Hi Omar, I learned a lot from you with my Fuji x-t30. Kevin from Philippines here. Thanks for your videos.

"This video is for anyone too lazy to read the manual"...
Why you gotta call me out like that? 😂
I heard that and thought "Hey thats me!"
Just picked up the X-T30II and this really helped me set up. Great videos can't wait to see more
Do you have a hard time with the swipe feature?
I just picked up this camera - thanks SO much for this video. I think I have to watch it twice
Just got my xt30 with 18-55mm f/2.8-4 lens, cost me 900$ in Thailand. I am excited to explore it
Just bought my first fuji camera and it's a X-T30.. this video helps a lot!
Thank u for the tutorial ❤️
Please make more xt-30 videos 👍🏻
If u r reviewing Fuji cameras. Kindly kindly also review Mitakon 35 f0.95....!!!! Or other fast affordable lens for fuji?!
Helpful but it can't affect my laziness. I really like it as a point and shoot and this video was a good guide for that set-up.
I love how you word and have some much passion, the little innuendos on other videos have me in stitches. Keep them coming dude. Just bought this camera and this helped a lot ,🤘
I wish you had a video like this for the x30! Scored a used one, but i have no idea what im doing!!
Stop shaking the poor thing 🤪
Great video as usual!!
Watching this while waiting for pre order camera to arrive!
Is it compulsory to shake camera while set up? Joking apart. Love your reviews and all videos btw. Your music selection is also outstanding.😃
Thanks for the video Omar! Another video about lightning, vflats, and getting rid of shadows would be GREAT!!
Ive finally understood this menu after two weeks of having the xt30. You're super funny btw ahaha
I have just bought the xt200. Any tutorials on the settings and main features in mind?
Thank you for your videos!!
I'm coming over from Sony, I think Sony is sooo much easier to use but the aesthetic and experience with Fuji is amazing
Thank you man, I have this borrowed from school so i dont have the time to get real personal with thrle camera
Perfect video and you have such a funny sense of humour and easy to understand, thank you!
Dropping in to say thank you as I’m using your guide because I’m too lazy to read the manual on my new XT30II 😂
Thank you. Pondering the idea of getting an AT-30.

Thanks so much for this video Omar! i recently purchased a xt30 and this review was great to help me get started !
Omar, you (and Ace Ventura) got me back into photography again! Keep making these great video's.
I love that FN button to play feature tip. Very cool.
I have that body and lens on the way and can't wait to use them along side my X100F...
5:11 Cool magic trick! You really made that image disappear.
Great work, as usual, Omar!

I just got my xt30 and I wanna know about the timelapse shooting option /setting on xt30 and tips for long exposure shots.

When will you finally do a comparison between X-T20 & X-T30? I am going to get one of those, just waiting for your opinion. Thanks)
Don't wait, get the X-T30. I did exactly that.

Does this video apply to the XT30ii ?
Hi, xt20 + 18-55 or xt30 + 15-45? Thank u
this video helped just switched from canon so a little befuddled with the new system
Hi Omar, great videos! Just bought a X-t30 . Do you use the Mechanical Shutter or the Electronic shutter, or do you use both depending on the situation?
Don't bother with the app for android until May, it's still a burning trash heap and only works sometimes. The update should solve this.
Woah, thank you so much for this video! It helped me a lot setting up my first Fuji! 🤩👌
That's it. I'm buyin' it.

Have you compared IQ of Xt20 and Xt30....really looking to buy one of these...portraits and street photography preferred.
I have recently bought Sam Yang 12 mm manual focus lens for my fujifilm xt 30 camera. Manual focus doesn’t seem to be working. Can you please help. Thanks
Really appreciate your video which is to the point. Can't wait to test all this out.
Great video. Thanks.
I am getting my first camera mostly for the stills. Confused between X-t30 and 80D. The only thing which is stopping me to get X-t30 is 80d looks more robust. Please guide.
Great video. thank you for sharing
16:17 the real OG
My goodness., the amount of times I laughed during this video is so unexpected! I LOVE IT! Learned so much!
That was extremely helpful, even though I had to pretend my newly bought X-E3 was an XT-30, but whatevvaaah
Loved the video, very useful
Super helpful! Thank you so much.
Glad it was helpful!
I’m following you since 2500 subs. Great information
Omar, please excuse this novice question. I'm wondering if the Fujinon xf 90mm R LM WR lens will fit/work on the X-T30. It seems to work on the larger cameras but I can't find reference to it being used on the little XT30. Thank you for your help.

Question: Is the top black part made of metal that has been painted over? Does the color scratch off? What about the silver version?
What a nice way to explain thank you 😊
thank you for the video. i recently got the fujifilm xt30 ii and some of the settings are grayed out/can't select it. how do i change that? thanks!
HELP!
On the 5th option of “View Mode”,
EYE SENSOR + LCD IMAGE DISPLAY, i do not het image display after shoot image??? Do I have to set something up in menu?
Thanks, Omar. Good one!
Seriously considering the x-t30. One question. I cannot find if the kit lens 15-45 has a lens hood?
"to lazy" thank you calling me
Really enjoyed your video. I'm a new user to Fuji. I was just wondering if there's a setting that I can set to have my images downloaded to my MAC with the date as well as the DSC#? I've looked and it doesn't look like there is an option to make this happen. Is that correct?
This was a very helpful video. Thanks for posting!
Which is best camera for video shoot and photo shoots with best voice quality..
ExTREMEly helpful, thank you, Omar!
Two part question. Can you swipe when using the EVF only? How does the size of the EVF compare to the XTm1,2,3?
The answer for the first question is yes, you can swipe the screen even if you are looking on the EVF.
I'm not completely sold on the touch function
0:58 xD This is why I love your videos. Along with the love for Fujifilm, of course. But that 0:58 man... xD
Haha I had to even repeat that sound effect :)
I want to trade all my cameras in for this guy, but I want a firmware that sets the Q button to a rapid double tap, and rapid double tap hold. Like the iPhone home button. Hell, I'd take some quarter circle joystick Street Fighter combos if it compensates for the accidental press.
Great video (as always)
I really like this guy, cousin of jim carrey? 😅… ive learn alot from this guy since my baby xt20 arrives.. thanks bro.. youre a very talented human being haha🎉😂
Great video and very informative.
Hello why when i press front dial it didn't showing like yours 14:08
