Nathaniel can make any guitar in that beautiful shop sound amazing. I love the vintage stuff, but truth be told, when he's playing, I don't care what it is. He's one of the most talented and versatile players on the whole of YT. What a treasure to our fair city. Cheers Team CME and thanks Nathaniel. You play so good, I never want to pick up one of my guitars again. LOL
Been watching this guy for a long time. What a great attitude! Every time it makes me walk over and play guitar even for just a minute. Inspiration doesn’t get much more organic than that. Music is contagious and a day changer when I’m in a rut.
I don’t know his situation but if ya’ll not paying this man enough or at least providing him a substantial enough discount to be able to purchase one of these beautiful instruments for his own should be considered a travesty. I know the industry can be tough but get one of these in this man’s personal collection pronto! This cat is basically CME’s brand ambassador, do better.
He was just being cheeky. Check out this video of the store buying him a Gibson Custom Shop Noel Gallagher J-150, 1 of 200 - ruclips.net/video/jCMSNq-NujY/видео.htmlsi=9oAsqRdvSKtTXp7t Employee discount is one of the best parts of the job!
I am still trying to get why he is working in a MUSIC STORE! He is probably one of the best guitarists on the TUbers. It is really crazy. At least pay him for what he is worth.LOL
If I owned any or all of them I'd give them away to be able to play like that. I've been at it since March of '67 and my arthritic old hands are on their way out. I thoroughly enjoy watching you play, thank you.
Mate……… SO good to hear some absolutely stellar guitar playing. Beautiful work. Such a change to hear someone playing guitar WITHOUT OVERDRIVE shredding all over the place. Fabulous sir.
Love that 68 ES 335. Fantastic playing. I’ll be visiting CME tomorrow! Hey, Nathaniel, have you ever played a 1960’s Stradavox (Italian made ES 335 copy)? You’ll have your chance if you’re at the shop tomorrow!😊
This guy what planet did you kidnap him from planet spectacula😮r wow amazing.I know why he is there he could make a $29.99 guitar at Walmart sound like a $20,000 vintage guitar.I am very impressed with your store. The look of the lighting and the displays and the great selection of inventory that you carry.I had to laugh when he said like he would ever be able to afford one.If anybody would deserve to own a guitar of this caliper I would say it would be him with his talent.
Keep these episodes coming. Nice to hear an accomplished guitarist properly demonstrating guitars without relentless gain and distortion, which is common elsewhere. Next time I’m in Chicago I must visit the shop. It looks well-stocked with quality gear in a nice environment. Prices don’t seem unreasonable either!
Gibson needs to hookup Nathaniel with a Custom shop SG or something it’s a crime a player of his caliber doesn’t own one. There would be no better ambassador for the brand.
Imagine going to a guitar store buy yourself a guitar and there's this guy playing like this right next to you. Jesus... I would feel ashamed of even thinking to try one of these guitars with you nearby
Price not involved…1. Strat!!! 2nd 71 tele! If I can only play like Nathaniel, any would do! Thanks for these. Keep ‘em coming. How about a long neck es 330 from late 70’s. I have one and can’t put it down…and it was a second. I’ll be damned to figure out why. ✌️❤️
You are a great player, its like you took lessons or something 😂 I never had the luxury had to use my ear holes and figure it out. You make me look like a total blues hack. But music isn’t a competition. I was a HS band nerd, not a football player. Lol. These all sound great and do what they do with their own thing. I would love a vintage guitar, the oldest I have is a Gretsch fire-jet from like 2004. It has a vibe..
great guy, great player, but dodgy accent, here in australia that accent associated with bushrangers and ne'er do wells 🤣wasting your time working in a store bro, thats stupid, talk to fellow aussie tommy emmanuel or frank gambale get you out travelling playing music for interested audiences of which there would be plenty, me included
I cannot play guitar, just defeats me everytime, my brain is just not capable. One thing that really astounds me is not just his playing, it's the fact that he can remember so many songs and riffs, how does a human brain remember those notes, chords etc. I confess I am pretty good at air guitar though, and costs a lot less than the beauties in the shop.
The Rosewood Tele is approximately 0.73214286 stone😅 I've never thought that rosewood teles sound very good and neither did George. CME looks like a dream guitar shop to me🎸
The only thing i have to say is nathaniel is the kind of guy who totally could move up in the world and not have bosses, but i think he just doesn’t give a fook 😂
Yet another great video Nate! They are all great guitar and yes, it is hard to pick. I think the Selmer is now more like Fiesta PINK. 😁 I would tend to agree with you and grab the Rosewood tele as well, if I had that kind of money of course. Great touch on the Dire Straits song by the way. Can't wait for the next one. Your living the dream!!
If I had unlimited funds, I wouldn't buy any of these. Instead, I'd book the shop all to myself, sit on a couch and have Nathaniel pick anything he wants and play all day.
11.45 passing up a chance to do Jesus Just Left Chicago - the right guitar in the right tuning, I think. Fantastic playing as always, and a fab video NM.
Show is spotless. Need more. Wicked playing. I hope to see you play some Jazzmasters. I never cared for them until I played some good ones and now I’m hooked.
Hey guys - I'm guessing that maple tele is 0.49 stone, and being British too - lets call it half a stone. Incredible playing as per. Keep up the good work lads
Love the vintage stuff, however, I'd love to see a slightly more modern vintage, hopefully a PRS Modern Eagle 1! those have amazing tone and the Brazilian rosewood neck is amazing!
Love hearing a Manc voice, and top playing as always! Next time: Nathaniel picks what he thinks is the prettiest guitar, a guitar he's never tried/heard of, guitar he'd hide from the boss.
THANKS FOR WATCHING!

Give him a pay rise CME!

During the Beatles medley my guitars actually got up and walked out of the house.

I wish I could “butcher” Knofler like that. Awesome video loved that Strat though! Sounds amazing!
Nathaniel's definition of "butchered" is different than most lol

That sg sounds downright dangerous
Is there any kind of music Nathaniel Murphy can't play? I love his use of harmonics.
Please demo the Gretsch Billy Bo shown at 3:56

Just say "Oh Bollocks" to your boss as most people here in the USA don't know what it means!🤣
I would love to see a demo of either of the vintage Guild Starfires you have in stock. Either the II or the III would be great!
Great playing ! I'd take the '71 Tele with humbucker. A rosewood Tele would be way too heavy ; reason George gave his one away. Cheers.
Mate, I can't believe you began with Wish Upon - Respect.
8:15 I need tabs for that arrangment of In My Life!!!!!
This Dude is a heckuva player!! That SG sounded killer

My 1961 Les Paul sideways vibrola stats in tune and I use the vibrola all the time. Not heavy bends but for shimmery effect

Yes! Kettle was on and cup of tea ready as soon as I saw this episode up! More Geoff!!! Legend….sold me too many guitars 😅

Nathaniel is a great asset to the business. When I hit the lottery I'll buy myself and him his choice.
Bought a 1968 Gibson SG Special at CME back in 2013 and took it with me to Germany. Still love the guitar.
Love to hear that!!
Waiting patiently for some surf music from Nathaniel. The long version Beatles montage is stupid good.
Dang !!!! The boy it’s awesome
This guy give Tommy E. a run for his money.
‘68 they put a gibson sonic boom logo on the pickguards. Have one on my j45 but never seen one on a 335, very cool
I think Happiness is a Warm Gun would be a good one in Nathaniel’s style
What a player this man is. Amazing.
I’m gonna go with .75 stone on the Tele
Loved how he casually switches the slide from 3rd to 4th finger and equally delivers killer lines. The man's a beast.
That take on All My Loving was worth the video, goosebumps! Great playing, great guitars!
Nice to see Geoff in a video...great all around guy! Nathaniel is a'ight too, I guess Lol
Give him a raise!

CME knows his value! That’s why they gave him a killer guitar in a recent episode!
That guitar weighs 10 pounds 4 ounces. Equivelent to 3.23 stones. Please let me know how I claim my prize
Fantastic playing, those harp harmonics were pristine, you should be very proud of your ability
