Even if you are a die hard android fan, Samsung, Asus, or any android based tablet does not compete against the IPad. Yes, they have Android device that are at similar speeds, storage, Memory and hardware. The IPad is the king of tablets whether anybody likes it or not. This tablet looks enticing though and I would consider trying it out. All it is really though, is a IPad knock off running an android OS. Animations are the same, cursor and the Home Screen are the EXACT same. I wouldn’t be Surprised if apple sues them for copying their layout and interface design. They’ve done it before so I wouldn’t be surprised. I mean, they could’ve atleast made something original instead of copying the IPad down to every little detail.
I like Android, but iPad is seriously the best choice when it comes to tablet. It's affordable and it can last a long long time without needing a replacement. My mom is using the same iPad for almost 6 years now and it's still going strong
@@cody7068 that's very general. Both android tablets and iPads have their benefits and disadvantages. I will only talk about Samsung and Apple here. The main advantage of Android right now is multi windows. You can have 3 max apps open on iPadOS at the same time (3rd one a bit less). Looking at a Samsung Tablet, you can have 4 current apps with an additional floating window. Additionally, DeX is available aswell, which is on another level. I think that is the majority of the advantages on the Android side. iPads are great, as they have way better app support and mostly better chips. In conclusion, if you want a device only for note taking and office, both are good and noone is over the other (stylus support, apps like Goodnote or Samsung Notes, office I think is free on Android aswell). For anything else, there are no apps on Android, which makes iPad the winner, e.g. for video and photo editing.
This is actually solid marketing. Plenty of people buying iPads will see that it looks the same, does the same stuff, but it’s cheaper, so they’ll get this instead. Not everyone is into tech specs.

@@kanjakan overheating on a phone? That would be enough for me to steer clear of any OnePlus phone to begin with, and battery problems? I switched from an s22 to a iPhone 14 Pro Max, have no regrets. Honestly is the best phone I’ve ever had. Interface is absolutely perfect, Camera is amazing and I love the design. Battery lasts quite awhile and I’ve never over heated it, even with it laying directly in the sun for 15-30 mins. I recommend you switch or atleast try one out if you haven’t. Might be a good decision depending on what your demands are.😁👍🏼

@@wakeupcall2665 yep. I have a Gen 2 iPad Pro (which I received in 2017 - because my wife is fucking awesome) and it’s still running like clockwork. Still very snappy and quick. No hangups or glitches. We’ve definitely gotten a decent ROI on it. My only problem is that I can’t get rid of it. I’ll replace a device when it outlives its usefulness or breaks down to an irreparable state. Neither has happened.

It would be interesting to see where this product is at in like 5 years. Currently the processor is behind iPads and the OS is way behind IPadOS. My personal problem with Android Tablets isn’t the Hardware. It’s the software. So many iPad apps are optimized for exactly that + iPad OS (which still can be highly improved!) is a really good tablet operating system. The Android version on the OnePlus Pad looks good at the first glance

I don’t really see an IPad user switching to an android tablet. If they have an IPad along with and IPhone, Mac and other products, they’re already in the ecosystem. Only reason I feel you would switch from an IPad to this, is if you were low on money and needed to cut some expenses. Other than that, this Tablet doesn’t really compete in any category.

I’ve been using the iPad for the 10+ years that I’ve exclusively used Galaxies, Xperias phones and ASUS laptops. The actual app ecosystem made Android tablets not worthwhile. Lack of tablet optimised Android apps meant that you’re better off using a phablet.

Half of the appeal of Apple products is their excellent build quality and hardware design. 😉 This could appeal to people who like Apple hardware but don't want to get locked into the walled ecosystem just yet. I love my iPad, but it's often a pain in the butt getting it to play well with my other non-Apple devices.
I would like to see a long term side by side comparison to the iPad that is its equivalent. The one thing that keeps me as an Apple user is quality and the ecosystem. I’d like to see if it holds up as well as the iPad and if I could use along with my other Apple devices like I do with my iPad.

Honestly is the best phone I’ve ever had. Interface is absolutely perfect, Camera is amazing and I love the design. Battery lasts quite awhile and I’ve never over heated it, even with it laying directly in the sun for 15-30 mins. I recommend you switch or atleast try one out if you haven’t. Might be a good decision depending on what your demands are.😁👍🏼

@@wakeupcall2665 yep. I have a Gen 2 iPad Pro (which I received in 2017 - because my wife is fucking awesome) and it’s still running like clockwork. Still very snappy and quick. No hangups or glitches. We’ve definitely gotten a decent ROI on it. My only problem is that I can’t get rid of it. I’ll replace a device when it outlives its usefulness or breaks down to an irreparable state. Neither has happened.

It would be interesting to see where this product is at in like 5 years. Currently the processor is behind iPads and the OS is way behind IPadOS. The software has been the main reason why Android tablets have been so inferior to IPads. Well let’s just hope it becomes something better rather then a android copy of IPad.
And idk why people think having a 144hz screen is a big deal. Like I see people comparing that has a winning point to iPads promotion display with 120hz.

My personal problem with Android Tablets isn’t the Hardware. It’s the software. So many iPad apps are optimized for exactly that + iPad OS (which still can be highly improved!) is a really good tablet operating system. The Android version on the OnePlus Pad looks good at the first glance
Tablet on this price with only 2 or 3 years of updates is doomed.

Indeed. The first gen iPad Pro from 2015 still gets software support and with its A9X chip and 4GB of RAM it's still quicker than most budget tablets today.

I don’t really see an IPad user switching to an android tablet. If they have an IPad along with and IPhone, Mac and other products, they’re already in the ecosystem. Only reason I feel you would switch from an IPad to this, is if you were low on money and needed to cut some expenses. Other than that, this Tablet doesn’t really compete in any category.

I’ve been using the iPad for the 10+ years that I’ve exclusively used Galaxies, Xperias phones and ASUS laptops. The actual app ecosystem made Android tablets not worthwhile. Lack of tablet optimised Android apps meant that you’re better off using a phablet.

I would like to see a long term side by side comparison to the iPad that is its equivalent. The one thing that keeps me as an Apple user is quality and the ecosystem. I’d like to see if it holds up as well as the iPad and if I could use along with my other Apple devices like I do with my iPad.
