👩🏼 ABOUT ME 👩🏼
I married a magician who is also a bird trainer and now we travel the world together doing what we love with who we love, and spreading what we love. We do everything from fundraising magic shows for any good cause, parrot training workshops and masterclasses, consultations (in home and over video-chat and phone) - anything to spread the art of magic and the knowledge of clearly communicating better with the animals in our lives.

I just brought home a new Olive Rainbow today! Named it Pickles. I can't wait to start training sessions! Thanks for the vid great looking bird.
This was so insightful. PLEASE do one All about conures!!
Please do more content on lorikeets & lorys ! So hard to find quality/trustworthy info on training and diet!
Raven is such a sweet little bird! He looks like he’s very well looked after too :)
Years ago, I was - that close to buying a black capped Lory. They are just like puppy with wings; lots of energy! Didn't have the room for such squirting (cleaning patients ) while the bird is out playing outside the cage.
If I had a bigger place than what I have, I will consider the Black Capped.
I love lorys
Very informative. I got a pair of Rainbows today so I have to learn as much as possible. Very different birds to all of my other parrots. Just loved the Irish accent, BTW.
I have changed my rainbow over to Vetafarm nectar pellets. No more squirts!..Took awhile for her to see the pellets as food, longer than changing a parrot from seed to pellets. Also have less food wastage.
Thanks so much for this segment ❤ especially on diet (I’ve been searching for ages about the fruit diet versus vegetable information )
BirdTricks spoke about fruit and it’s repercussions with liver but I thought lorikeets were different because they eat so much fruit in the wild 😮
Oh PS They have great natural wood tunnels now (in the small animal Guinea pig section) lorikeets like to sleep in tree nooks in the wild
Look great in the cage as well
I would not want to have him in an outside flight case when you are out. Thieves won’t be stopped by that. He’s a beautiful bird, not hard to see why you love him
Very valid point.
I like Indonesian birds Parrot. Good...
can you guys do a video about black capped ciaques next?
Thanks for an informative video on Lories, i have a 9 mth old cinnamon lorikeet named Rowdy and he couldn`t be better named, i would love to see more info on the biting part as this is what mine does and it bloody hurts and I don`t know why he does it?
Have a Dusky Lory who is a new addition and super orally fixated - lots of nibbling and licking my hands and clothes - anyone have tips on how to slow that down or is it totally normal?
lol crazy hyper bird
Great Bird....they need to fly....
Which country do you live in and where did you get your galahs from? Please reply.
Awesome knowledge that I neededWhat page was that to go to?
I have a lorikeet that fights with his toys and show a lot of agression signs to it and sometimes screaming a little in the process. He usually does this when i don't let him out of the cage and he goes quite for a while before he actually starts fighting it. Is this a lorikeets way of playing or is he really angry? is there a way to make him 'play' with it rather than fighting it?
He is definitely angry bird but a playful one.. that's normal coz I have one also.
Is it common amongst these birds to look like they are constantly trying to bite.
1986beasty I own two rainbow lorikeets and these birds do have a tendency to bite. Like all animals if you harm them or they feel threatened it is a natural instinct to bite because they only have their beak to defend them
I'm busy training two cockatiels, using clicker training, and they won't leave each others side, how do i clicker train both of them ? won't they get confused ?
Train them separately. Them together is a distraction for the both of them.
how to make different between female n male Black cup lorry?
Clear sheet of what?
Whereabouts would you go to get one of these? Can you get them in Canada (or at the very least, North America)?
Todd Marcus Exotic birds in Delran New Jersey has a baby black capped lory. Saw it last weekend.
South Africa
00:00:13,969 --> 00:00:19,170 busy Raven is a black cat Laurie here's Maybe instead of the word - cat - there should be the word - cap?

My Parrot loved grapes too until I found out the grapes and strawberries will KILL your Lori.
Now I know I don't want a lorikeet/lory.
I love Lories, budgies, cockatiels, parrotlets, lovebirds, and lorikeets.
but what is the difference between Lories and lorikeets?
Their tail length. :) Lories are short tailed, lorikeets have long tapering tails.
@@SleepyOcelol Wrong, there is no difference, it's just shortening the name
@@michael49777 "There are differences between lories and lorikeets, especially if you compare tails. In general, lories are bigger, with tails that are short, rounded, or square. Lorikeets tend to be smaller, with longer, pointed tails." Source: animals.sandiegozoo.org/animals/lory-and-lorikeet
