Thank you for such an informative and visually pleasing video of these Lorikeets, same as the Honey Eater video. In the last couple of years I have never seen so many New Holland honey eaters in my neighbourhood ,Sunbury Victoria.
Awesome info as always- one thing I noticed about lorikeets and I could be wrong- but they don't seem to need to tilt their heads to drink. When I was younger I just assumed it was because of their nectar diet, but recently I've realised what a distinct bird trait this is.
I have a Rainbow Lorikeet and he laps liquid like a dog or cat does. His brush tongue helps the liquid stay on his tongue until it goes into his mouth.
Hermozas, cute, wanderfull, como imaginar que fuerom creadas en un solo dia quedarom perfectas como perfecto es mi Señor Jesucristo que se mueve en sus cantos,God Bless you..
Your documentaries on the birds of Australia are exceptional and much appreciated!
I've just watched this with my lorikeet. She seemed to enjoy it, and so did I.
