      Awesome, I'm happy you enjoy the insanity :) From the looks of it we have a bunch more volcanos coming up, haha

    where do the two middle steam generator pipes lead? Back into the system or somewhere else?

    • @martveri4873
      @martveri4873 4 месяца назад

      also what is the liquid pipe thermo sensor set at?

    • @BierTier
      @BierTier  4 месяца назад +1

      The middle two lead out into some sort of storage or other use, you are extracting that water. The sensor is set to whatever lowest it can go with your choice of cooling fluid. Polluted water in my case, so it is set to -5C!

    for getting the precise amount of liquid in your steam vent chambers you could also have used the liquid meter valve and have it shut off at the exact amount you need

    • @BierTier
      @BierTier  2 года назад

      Yes! Honestly, I keep forgetting about the liquid meter valve. Somehow I'm stuck in the old ways in this regard, but I will try to get better at it :)

    What's the reason for the two smart batteries? Would regular large batteries work?

    • @BierTier
      @BierTier  2 года назад

      The smart batteries are only a backup. In theory, a large battery would work just fine, if it can withstand the heat. I just use smart batteries since the materials are easily available at this stage of the game. Steel is definitely not an issue and it will hold against the heat without issues.

    Hi great episode, always loves your explanations.
    quick question, is it worth it to use ceramic in insulation?

    • @BierTier
      @BierTier  2 года назад +2

      Thank you, I'm glad you enjoy it!
      Ceramic is not only worth it, it is the second best insulator in the game(after actual insulation). Here is a helpful website that shows the thermal conductivity values of all materials: oxygennotincluded.fandom.com/wiki/Thermal_Conductivity

      Once you have a reliable source of coal and clay, it is very much worth it.

      Lots of testing in sandbox and it turned out that this is the optimal version between cost and effectiveness

    i have so many issues with making enough renewable energy or not using as much power! do you have any tips or videos you’ve made?

    • @BierTier
      @BierTier  2 года назад +1

      There are a lot of ways to generate power. In my upcoming video I will have steam power, coal, natural gas and hydrogen. And that is not all the possible sources. And all of those (except the coal, eventually you will run out of rocks for the stone hatches, but it will take a LONG time) are from vents, which means they are renewable. Also, to supplement you can use solar power for example. The possibilities are almost endless. But I could make a video on different power production methods :)

      @@BierTier I just put down 4 solar panels 7 tiles apart from eachother on top of my planet (i’m on oceania too in spaced out) and it’s helping balance out the batteries running off the runoff off my full Rodriguez.

    • @BierTier
      @BierTier  2 года назад +1

      The solar panels can be one beside another without an issue. Just plop them down in a row and leave some space for rockets(if you want rockets) 😊

    The easiest way to feed 2nd planet when foraging isn't enough while building its farm is to send the lower quality foods through the teleporter.

    • @BierTier
      @BierTier  2 года назад

      Absolutely correct. I could also send Oxygen through the teleporter for example, since I have more then enough on the first planetoid.

    I built one yesterday it’s tricky, have to do everything correct - I did not. Built my aqua tuner backwards on accident, and did not know about the water needed at the bottom chambers. I have 76 cycles to fix thing my vent went dormant about 3 cycles after everything started breaking and melting lol

    • @BierTier
      @BierTier  2 года назад

      It is a pretty advanced build quite honestly, even though it doesn't look like it. Especially the startup can cause some serious issues if mistakes are made, for example the water needs to be pre-heated as much as possible. You'll see that in the next episode :)
