  • Parker’s Safes and Vaults shows the differences between the new Master and the older Master series safes. The old Superior Master was a much different safe and had been our best selling model. Watch to see the difference!

      Good move, they are lying about their build quality, and this video proves it. “build up to a standard, not down to a price” Superior and Champion are in the business of building illusion security box’s and nothing more. This also proves that you care about what you sell to your customers too.

    Respectfully saying- Most Consumers who seek a Safe
    Have NO CLUE that the average Safe Door is Only Composite-Stack ..or... Measured by *Gauge.
    They see a 1 Inch Thick Door and say WOW blah blah..
    The Minimal Safe Door should be NO Less than 3/16 Solid Steel / The Safe Body to be NO Less than 3/16 Solid Steel

      Yep. I agree. We've started carrying and recommending American Security. They've always been a top end safe but the price point was and issue. Now, with these changes from Superior and an increase in the price of a Master, it's easy to justify the AMSEC price point. It's a bummer because the Master had been our best selling safe for years.

    Looking for your input. I live in the northwest. I have a decent amount of valuable items to store, and the Master series really fits my budget a lot better, but I was wondering if you really recommend against owning one? The Master 50 is what i'm looking at, but the BFX looks amazing. price difference is substantial. I would be upgrading from liberty franklin 36 safes. Stepping up into the big boys and just looking for your input. Much appreciated my friend. Thank you for the videos.

      Before the changes that led to us dropping Superior as a supplier, the Master series was a good safe. Even at its best though, it wouldn't have measured up to an AMSEC. My personal valuables are in an AMSEC if that helps. I would save a little more and go AMSEC. You'll be happy you did. Give me a call, freight from here might not be as bad as you think.

    Aaron, will the doors lift off of the Superior safes for moving and transport?

    • @parkerssafes
      @parkerssafes  2 года назад

      They should but we rarely take them off. Personally I think they’re a little harder to maneuver around with the door off than they are with it on. It should just leave straight off though.

  • @larkinoo

    Am not impressed with the internals of the door at all. That's why it is important to investigate and study your prospective safe purchase. Thanks for that vid Aaron. For my money I went with a Fort Knox product. Had one before but sold it with the house so have a new one coming. But I like to look at the other brands........and it reinforces my decision on my purchase. I like Graffunder but do not have the $$$ for one of those babies. Thanks.

      @parkerssafes  3 года назад +1

      Don’t blame you at all Doug. I’m not impressed either which is one reason we stopped carrying Champion and Superior safes. Fort Knox makes a fine safe. If you find yourself in the market again, I’d put American Security on your list to consider as well.
      Thanks for the comment.

    Did they cheapen the Champions as well? I was contemplating another cuz I love my Triumph, but that new Superior isn’t built much heavier than a liberty. And it’s the Master series, isn’t that the top end? Typical business these days, raise the price and cheapen the product. I may have to switch to Amsec or Ft Knox.

    • @parkerssafes
      @parkerssafes  3 года назад +4

      Yes, in my opinion, all their products are less than what they used to be. They had been our best selling line for over 10 years but we have stopped carrying them due to quality. What's worse is that the President, Ray Crosby, is much better at making excuses for poor workmanship than looking for a solution. It's a bummer but that's the route they're on. AMSEC is the way to go. Their products, quality control, customer service, and warranty is top notch. I truly wish we had started carrying them years ago. There's really no comparison.

I also looked at the new ones in a showroom and to say I was unimpressed with the changes, especially at the current price, is an understatement. The BF, BFII, and BFX are very impressive and if it were 3 years ago I'd have one right now, but man have they gone up in price. Hopefully I can find a used one in the future.

I bought the 2013 Master and instead of the advertised 10 Guage body it has 12 gauge.... couldn't believe it was possible and so took out all the interior and measured in several places all .109". How is it even possible for a company to scam you like that?

  • @Smooththatsme

    • @parkerssafes
      @parkerssafes  3 года назад

      Yep, most gun safe companies seem to be trying to build the cheapest box they can and sell it for the most that they can. There are still a few good manufacturers out there. Graffunder and American Security come to mind.
