    That had to been close to 600 lbs. worth of men to move that safe. Great work guys. My son and I once did a 850 lb gun safe with an appliance dolly and our Tommy Gate on an F250. It was tough but no steps at all. We are only 350 lbs combined. LOL. That extra size and strength helps.

    I've used that same dolly dozens of times. One time we had to bring a 1200 lb equipment rack up 4 flights of steps. Like you said even with the motor it still takes a lot to move things that heavy.

    I own two safes about half size. Have them bolted to the floor in difficult to access ground floor closets. Not a fan of battery operated locks. Like the old school dials.
    1--Need a gun safe gun in case you find yourself opening it under duress.
    2- Be aware of violent home invasion.
    (The whole world knows you have enough guns to fill it. )
    3- Go to spot for a tornado tearing through the neighborhood.

  • @mike4769
    @mike4769 10 месяцев назад +1

    I used a ultralift for 8 years delivering safes. I only used it when climbing steps. It was much faster to use the flat furniture dolley they also sell. You can't turn tight corners when it's on the untra lift. Also you can't bring it back over with a low ceiling like in a older home. I would guess that I used the ultra lift less than 10 percent of my deliveries. We delivered liberty 50 safes this size and bigger heavier every day with no problems.

      Good afternoon Mike, I’m hoping to possibly startup a safe moving business from scratch. I have lots of experience moving things but of this heavy nature I would need to plan for getting the right tools, having an extra hand available, and charging a fair price. @@roqy9247 it depends on the company. We do this all day and can move a 1000+ lb safe from house to house in a average of less than a hour total with just 2 guys. Another company in town uses 4 guys and it takes them 2 to 4 hours. Their labor cost force them to charge more.
