I love the fact that you demo (up close) on yourself.... You have shown me how to not be afraid of eyeshadow.. I am 63 but still want to do modern makeup.... Thanks Wayne
This may be my favorite video of yours. I've watched oh so many already and have made purchases based on your reviews. But ones like this with tips and tricks are invaluable to me. I consider myself well-versed and exceedingly confident in makeup application but you continue to educate me! I appreciate your knowledge, your candor, your passion, and your generosity in sharing it all with us! Thank you.
Wayne, this wet wipe technique has changed my life. I am 44 with small, droopy, crepey, hooded eyes; that technique just gave me an eyelift that is literally life-changing!!! Thank you SO much!!!
you just saved me one hell of a lot of agonizing and misery over my continual going out and down too far on the outer corner when trying to do an uplifted eye look....I have hooded droopy eyes that sag now and I can absolutely see how much this technique will help me and the beauty of it is, I use a wipe like that every day while I am doing my make up to clean up fingers, brushes etc. and so I've got it already right there handy but never thought to use it for that!
I used to do that back when I was 17 and I wasn't such a beauty expert. It really worked. Btw for an extra lifted eye look, a slightly thin line of gel liner on the upper lid instead of lining the lower lid will be better and make your eyes look bigger as well. I don't line the lower lid and I don't add mascara there on a daily basis, but when I'm out on an event or night fun I smudge a bit of black pencil there. Although I always, ALWAYS make sure that the upper lid line is thicker, because this is what makes the illusion of a bigger, lifted eye (almost manga-like, which is extremely cool).
I just feel the NEED to thank you sooo very much!! I just started wearing makeup this year and unlike so many other "MUA's" on RUclips you are clear and to the point. THANK YOU!!!
I love this tip. I normally just try to cover the mistake with Concealer but this way is amazing looking. Can't wait to try it. Thank you for all the knowledge you pass along Wayne!
I have seen plenty of tutorials but I really must say, you provide the best and hands-on information and tricks. I really enjoy your videos! Thank you so much!
Dear Wayne: I truly thank you for your generosity of your time to teach us how apply make up correctly. I have learned a lot from you. Your videos are short and precise. I love them. Love your work.
I love your videos. I find them sort of empowering, because I generally feel 'shut-out' from the makeup world when I watch most tutorials (like ones that show you a million step-by-step instructions and emphasize a ton of expensive products). You explain things very kindly and you keep out the BS, like how you're not afraid to say 'makeup is an illusion'. Your videos make me feel like experimenting and having fun while also being in control and doing it to my liking.
I love how you de-mystify makeup for us makeup-challenged people out there :) it's really encouraging, love your channel and tutorials! thank you for being you!
I was just thinking of that video you had posted about a certain urinary based health issue. I remember it so distinctly (trying to be discreet with my wording) because I absolutely suffered from a urinary issue for a few years until it completely halted my life because the pain was just impossible bear. I remember everything I went through and wouldn't wish any of it on any of the worst people. Doctor after doctor steered me wrong and made it worse or just didn't have the slightest idea but I finally found an answer and I pray that you have found relief. You deserve all the best.
I am so glad you out a Kevin acuoin quote in this video, I own many of his books and he is an absolute idol to me. You remind me so much of him! Thank you for inspiring people like me everyday!
You're the best makeup guru on here! I've definitely learned everything from you and I always get compliments after trying out you're tips! I just watched this one and its officially my favorite! I don't have a lot of patience so this tip works great for me!! Thank you!
Anybody have a makeup sponge you have already used to apply foundation? That works perfect to clean up any smudges or powder spots that fall on your face when you put your eye makeup on. This technique works too but the sponge one is faster if you're in a hurry. Don't have to reapply the foundation.
I simply adore you! What an amazing tip... I'm sure this will prove to be a real time-saver. Now all I need is to learn how to blend properly & stop myself from over doing it because most of my eyeshadow "looks" seem to turn into a muddy mess instead of having the desired, diffused light quality. In attempting to achieve a seamless blend, I create one rather unattractive color: a muddied, bronze/mauve/taupe. :(
I just watched the Step-by-Step Eyeshadow Tutorial & realized that I have been blending with the same brushes that I apply the eyeshadows with, instead of using a clean brush... oops! Nobody ever told me differently. I can't wait to try this out, & see what a difference this makes, thank you!
So awesome! I just tried it with the craziest shimmer shadows and it turned out beautifully! I tend to have a slightly down turned and lidded eye which tends to look heavy with an eyeliner wing. This makeup did the trick and really lifted the eye! Thank you so much!
I used your tip this morning with a make up remover wipe. It worked like a charm. I got complimented on my eye make up several times today. Thank you so much! You are a rock star!!
Mr Goss, you are amazing! Thank you for your tutorials! I'm 43 and semi-hooded. What i've learned from you in the last few days, compared to other you tubers over the last few months is invaluable to me! Thank you for taking the time ;)
This is GREAT!! I'm a novice at doing eyeshadow and I'm going to use this "ruined routine" and then clean it up with a wet wipe and THEN do my foundation! You are amazing, Wayne!! xx
Your tips and tutorials are absolutely great and very helpful for someone who is just starting to discover the "makeup world" :) Thank you and keep on posting awesome videos!!
Thank You! I love your videos. Your advices are work for me. I don't to use concealer on my eyes because it makes my bright eyeshadow colours fade away.
I love the 'winged" look and couldn't perfect it for anything. THANK U SO MUCH! Who knew!! I will be practicing this technique this weekend. I can't wait to watch your other videos!!
Have used this trick before and it works like a charm but always have had trouble getting my "wings" even. Never thought to use my nose as a guideline! Brilliant!
I love that you've inadvertently also given a guide for where your eyebrow tail should end with the wet wipe nose edge to outer eye angle. Sneaky smart Wayne!!!
Even when purposely messing up, your brilliant! 2 years ago, I became fascinated with makeup tutorials. I would see yours and skip them because well, your a guy and what do guys know about makeup??! Well, now sir, your videos are the ones I prefer! You are easy to understand and follow and I thank you for that!
seriously.....how do you do it?!? You are ridiculously talented and entertaining, while making the everyday gal feel capable of recreating your makeup tips! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Much love from California!

love you! what a great way to make eyes that are too close together seem wider apart!! I've watched almost all of your videos and I can't stop...everyone is full of interesting info and fun, easy techniques. Thx.
I'm new to YOUR Channel and it might have already been said but do u use primer all over face then foundation including the eye area or prime eyes apply eye makeup then complete the face with foundation etc. I always use mascara last but I wanted to follow the steps that give more natural and perfect look without looking (cakie), i guess that is the word. I'm 46 yrs old and love your instructions and tutorials. THANK you for your hard work and continuing to inspire and educating us with your passion and artistic abilities with makeup and brushes. Also helping an old lady try and look beautiful.
I never heard of you before this afternoon. I'm well into the night and am still watching your videos. I really enjoy your teaching method. But, I haven't seen a video past mid 2013. Is it safe to assume you quit making these videos? And, I do enjoy seeing you apply the makeup to yourself. It makes it much more clear than just hearing you talk about it.
Thanks so much! your video rocked! it really helped me so much! I've always wanted to know how to do my eyeshadow like that, and never understood how, till I watched your video, it was so easy! I did my makeup, afterwards, and felt so good today! and will forever do my eyes like this, I'm so happy with the results, you are amazing! I look forward to more great videos!
Hi Wayne!! I just wanted to let you know this is probably the best makeup advice I've ever been given- I have Asian eyes, and I use this trick all the time, and it really works a charm. Thank you so much for all the work you do :)
What a super idea!!! I always go to far with the crease colour and then I try to make the mistake go smaller, ending up with a red area bc I'm trying to clean my mistake. Now I will use these tip to make crease color lift up my eye.
No matter what you do, you are always right, specially when you have a beautiful pair of blue eyes. I loved the idea of cleaning the mess and getting a very professional looking.

That's very similar to how I do eyeshadow, all slapdash then smudge it up a bit. Love your videos!
"try and forget that I have a beard" ahaha, you're hilarious and wickedly talented sir
