what I like about this is its just the amp not mic'ed so you get the true sound of the amp and not what it could be if it were a bigger amp.
I got mine 5 years and it's still going!

@2:19 its a 65 Twin I think, not a Princeton, nice demo for the different tones, the abouttone video is better if you want to see how the preset and fx sections work.

I love your reviews. I am considering this as a recording amp (I play a peavey classic 50 212 right now) and am in between this or the marshall mg30cfx.
Thoughts?
if you haven't decided yet, go look for the Marshall mg heads that are analog (no programmable channels on the amp or footswitch. aka the ones that have contour.) you can get the head for like $100 used and it's fantastic. I got the head and matching cab for $200 and I either use that with it or a kustom 412.
nice setup! I go through amps like underwear on a guy with massive diarrhea...I will have to check those out.
+Blake Wright yeah man. I'd say for sure get the head, that is fantastic. don't let the fact that it's solid state turn you off, there's a switch and it sounds exactly like a Marshall tube amp. the matching cab is alright at best, but if you do have the money, I'd get a better cab. the matching cab is good, and I use it for recording, but there are better cabs. the head is the best I've played though, and I've played though a lot of expensive heads too
I think this Amp has no Line out going to Mixer.

Haha - I was going to mention something about the tuning. I've got the Mustang I v2. The amp models and effects are pretty darn impressive, and the Fuse software is a big plus. Question, is the 40w Mustang II v2 suitable for gigging?
I have one and I think it would be.
I have one and use it on my gigs every week and i got a 5 man band and even with drums bass other guitarist i dont even come close to maxing this amps volume...yes gigging is fine with this amp bud
also i must say the amp dont get messy when you turn up either it stays very clear its amazing for the price in my opinion the best amp for the price at this time i picked mine up for 150 brand new at our local music store so look around you can get them under 200

Perhaps so... but my pickups are stock Squier Strat Affinity - inexpensive single coils - so nothing should be thinner than that. At least that's what it says on paper, but to my ear, they sound pretty good through all the settings on this amp.
