Just got a gently used 2022 Ram. I know where the jack is, and I found the cover for the hole to access cranking down the tire. Now that I watched this, I know about connecting the rod sections and using the lug wrench to crank the tire down. That's exactly the info I was looking for. Here's hoping I never have to do this in the dark on the side of a busy road in a snowstorm at 4 degrees below zero, wearing my "good clothes", while a complaining woman sits in the passenger seat, warm, clean, and dry, wondering "What's taking so long?!" 🙂 Just curious, what kind of jack do you carry so you can bypass the scissor jack? A bottle jack, hydraulic jack, or...? Thanks for your time and for the video!
Of course, I appreciate the feedback!! I keep a 1.5 ton harbor freight floor jack under the back seat. I’ve never actually used it for myself but there’s been a few times I’ve helped someone out in the parking lot/used it for a family member and it works good.
Thank you! Good video. Easy to understand. God bless you!
Glad it was helpful!
Just helped an old guy who broke down figure this out good vid
Glad to hear it helped, thanks for the feedback!
Thank you for this video, I just got Ram 1500 and I wasn't sure if it had spare tire or where are the tools to change it.
Glad this helped!

What’s the biggest size tire that can fit as a spare under the truck on the 18 inch spare tire rim? Thank you!
I Personally put a 285/70r18 and there seemed to be a little bit of room left to spare
Sweet Sweatshirt! Ahearn Equipment is the best!
Absolutely, haha nice catch!!
Thank you, excellent tutorial video.
Glad it helped!

@@winniedoesyoutube You are welcome!
What is the funnel for?
This is for refueling on the side of the road if you have the cap less tank
Weird question, is there any way you can tell me the part number for the plastic piece that covers the jack under the truck?
I’m sorry but I actually sold the truck a few months back so I don’t know. Hopefully someone else can chime in!
Thanks for this
Glad it helped!
Pov you in the field working get a flat and can’t locate the jack and the equipment to remove the spare to find the stuff missing 😑
That’s rough!
hmmm there is this thing called the manual it resides in the glove box tells you everything you need to know...... who would have thought
Getting rim free from the hook is a pain,
Definitely tough to balance it. Leaving some extra slack in the line definitely helps!
Spare is smaller than tires
Frustrating that the full size spare isn’t included on a truck with a $50k msrp!
my spare tire is a full size tire on my 2020 1500
Thank you today you help me a lot with this video 🫡
Glad I could help
