Each and every one of your builds has so much character! I've done two of yours now, spent many hours slowly putting them together piece by piece, thank you for helping me up my building quality in this game!
I've done 2 of his smaller ones too. And "copying" someone's build isn't always a lesser experience. I've gained many skills and a ton of buildin knowledge from his videos that allowed me to start forming my own creations.
I don't know what I am doing wrong but roofs are my absolute nemesis. No matter how precisley I follow your instructions andhow often i rewind the video to rewatch certain parts - when it comes to the roof it always looks like crap and I wan to cry after trying and trying to get it fixed.
If solo, literally just change to no build cost and devcommand fly mode. I see zero point in wasting so much time if anybody can do anything on their own world. Only time building should ever be a slow arduous process is if you're on a server so it brings more reward to the gathering process. The sense of "accomplishment" on a solo world means nothing.
Of course! Just stumbled across and started building your first longhouse and now this pops up in my recommended. Looks like I’m doing 2 builds this week.
fantastic Build! I've just built my first one and loving it. I'm going to be using some of the skill I've now gained into my other builds thanks and keep up the fantastic work
love the interior - the cabinet is very cool! also a huge fan of the stepdown roof methid you showed, looks cool & i think ill definitely find that handy myself haha
As per usual a very thorough walkthrough and good explanations! :) I really like your final interior touches. I've even used one of your show-case-start-of-videos as visual inspirations when I'm being DM with my DnD friends!
That's one fancy roof you got there mate. Reminds me of something I'd see in World of Warcraft for some reason. Looks very nice. PS: 1:51 I see you playing around, and making a serpent over there. 😄😅
@Versaugh it's done, it looks incredible as a center piece for my village. Its overlooking the rest of my town facing away from the cliff. So I built a balcony for the second floor over the fireplace and had it vent out with an open fire from the back. I'd love to send screenshots, I'm so proud of it
Your worst ennemie for this one is the gravity, you should make the tuto in "normal mode" because some part are weird (start on the 1 floor and roof and back to 1 floor and back to the roof) very hard in this order finish the 1 floor and go higher, much easier
I managed to get it 7 wide. I built on top of a 2m stone wall, I did 5 26 degree steps and one 45 degree step, it’s YUUUUUUGE my friend, all the peaks were done with regular wood too and I just used core wood for the pole supports I made it really wide too so it was a little hard to get the top properly supported but I’m sure if you fill in the walls as you go it’ll be easier, I died probably 30 times building it though since it was so tall and I can’t fly or anything and no feather cape as we still in the swamp, after about two deaths I built the rest on another character 😂
Just started this build. I don’t have dark wood yet so I’m stuck with just core wood and thatched roof until I can upgrade. I’m not proud of the number of times I have fallen to my death while working on the roof.
Loving the instructional nature of the video. Most "how to" videos I've watched, consist of the person zipping round like a deathsquito with no instructions, then "tadaa!, that's how you do it!" 😂
Great build, but I can only follow it up until you get to doing the framework for the roof. No matter what, I can't follow the steps at 4:40, as trying to place the third 45 degree wood beam breaks due to lack of support. I assumed that if it was a build that wouldn't work in survival the video would have said so, or at least someone in the comments would have. A little disappointed that so many val building tutorials aren't possible to follow for those of us wanting to put them in worlds we actually play in.
it was mostly done on stream but initially, i was to have some edited videos out, but due to some issues I wasn't able to move forward to get the story going so it is on pause for now😥
when you place the poles in your layout the poles seem to get placed in between the beams, they are blue and touching the ground but when i place them they are placed on top of the beams and are green why is this happening how can i fix it?
gahdammit I just spent 3 days building your other one in survival and now you post this one that is so much easier to follow WITH commentary smh. nice build though, I added a cool basement to your other longhouse.
Come on, obviously this isn’t a build that’s supposed to embody historical realism. It’s a fantasy game, you might want to google what Valheim is about.
@@bryanlanfranco7101 Yeah… I came off like a real jerk there… it wasn’t my intent, and I I’ve no idea why I felt the need to even comment. Damn indeed…

Built this with beginner mats and it came out pretty good. Nice design.

You're kinda like the Grian of Valheim. Now you just need about 8 million subscribers and you're set.
😃
I don’t know what I’m more impressed at. The build itself? Or just how flat you have the ground for it!
Took me three days, but I've finally finished reproducing this build in my solo world. Love it for my new home!

The dream of an Architect.
The nightmare of a Civil Engineer.
Thank you for sharing this build I recreated using beginner mats and it still looked cool!
Love your content. Really helped me up my building game. Thanks a bunch, V.
Glad my videos can help you enjoy the game more, you are welcome!😀
Congrats on getting the build of the month :D
Great, detailed tutorial. Real time, showing the snapping points. Very helpful. That roof and the detailing is beautiful.

Glad you enjoy it!
Congrtulations for the build of the moth!
Such fun with advanced build techniques. Love your vids!!!!!!!!

@@Versaugh Aight man, thanks for the reply🙏 Hope the issues get resolved somehow, love the content
workbench and forge?
I’m having problems with the roof
how can i build without materials and without workbench like you??
Dev commands. Console commands. Possible on Xbox, look up a video.
-LT+LB+menu button (enable console)
-Type devcommands
-type, nocost (for free building)
- type, fly (for flying)
- type, env clear (keeps weather clear)
- type, tod 0.5 (permenant noon)
-repeat the button combo to dismiss console
The song's name???
Nicely video!!!
The intro song
"knight templar"

when i put 4 angle 45 to meet they cross eachother what am i doing wrong?
for the front I mean the roof structure in the early part of the video (3:30)

Place one pole down first and create the layout off that pole then when you place the other poles they should touch the ground properly.
@@Versaugh yes it worked thanks for the quick reply and all your amazing videos!
Beautiful design but too small for a proper long house. I'd recommend making another one about 3 times larger.
