Well if you were in the same position one yard line, no timeouts, 10 seconds, are you going to run it? if you don't make it in on that one run the clock is going to keep on ticking and you'll have no more time left to play and the game's over. or are you going to do a quick pass? if you miss the quick pass it's fine this clock will stop you can just do another play. Which would you do? I would pass it in that situation to at least have two plays. It was just a very unfortunate event
Btw I'm a Seahawks fan so I hated that to but I still think the play call was good
@@Sponggee but that is not what happened - the seahawks had 1 timeout and there was around 25 seconds left. Definitely should have run it. And you have russel wilson who can move around well - if they were going to pass, they should have done a play action up the middle, roll out wilson and let him run, pass, or throw it away if nothing is there.

After the Minneapolis Miracle, they changed the rule so that you don’t have to do a PAT on a walk off TD. However, I think that only applies when the PAT doesn’t affect the outcome no matter what happens,

Most of these types of plays are judged based on when it happened and if the outcome meant something. I don’t think it should be, but there’s no denying that the Keenum to Diggs TD was incredible in context of the postseason.
Miami’s play was one of my favorites simply due to it being one of the few that caught the announcers waaaay off. They know not to declare a game over until 0:00, but still.

Every time I look at Seattle's last play in Super Bowl 49, I always cringe because the coaches should've had Russell Wilson pass the ball to Marshawn Lynch, who was on his left AND was wide open right as Malcolm Butler intercepted, as he sprinted towards the bottom left corner of the end-zone.
