@@toxiicace221 Different player against a different team. First play was Randall Cobb against the Titans, second play was Ty Montgomery against the Lions
It’s because they were set up for a Hail Mary situation, and you’ll put your 6’6” guy out there to bat down any ball in the end zone. Gronk was always back there for Hail Mary plays.
I remember when Westbrook took that knee at the 1, I thought it was the most brilliant play I'd ever seen. He didn't have his stats on his mind for a second. Just what helps win.
@@heyyy6068 if he kneels it’s a gauranteed win because they can kneel out the clock but if you score their is a small chance the other team scores then onside kicks and wins
Can someone explain (i am kinda new to american football) why (i think he was McAfee or something) could kick the ball 10 yards on the kick off and catch it without the opponent catching it first?
It's called an onside kick. Basically he just has to kick it just beyond 10 yards and his team can recover it. Normally you cannot do this when punting because no matter who gets it, the recieving team will always have it but in a free kick, whoever gets it has it.
One thing I really like about your videos is that when an announcer talks about one play resembling another you put that highlight next. On a side note the steelers fake spike, people tend to forget they ended up loing that game. Great vid.
Lucky? New England put in Gronk because they thought Miami was going for a Hail Mary. The play was genius because it wouldn't have worked if they kept their normal Safety in the game.
Guillermo Landaverde Orellana the ball was gonna be downed at the 1 and just as the broncos were going to get it he just picks it up because other than a safety the play can’t go any further back.
TheLongestNard There couldn’t have been a safety on that play though, since the Broncos had already touched it. That’s why it was smart to pick it up; he had nothing to lose.
The smartest play in NFL history is Pats v Broncos, 2003. Pats down by 1 and pinned at their own 1 yard line, take an intentional safety, go down by 3, kick the ball to Denver from their 25 instead, get a stop on D, then go down and win the game. Genius!
The Philly Special (beginning at 1:30) should not have counted. You can't see it here but in other films it turns out that they only had 6 men on the line of scrimmage but you need 7 in order for the formation to be legal. Philly got away with one here. Because of this they went into halftime leading 22-12 and not 18-12 (assuming they made the field goal after being penalized since it was 4th down) and changed the complexion of the game significantly. Down 6 and your are only down 1 score but down 10 its 2 scores. So much for the theory of the refs being in the tank for the Pats.
@James Davis actually people dont care because the wr asked the refs if he was good, and the refs said yes. So it was the refs fault. Not the Eagles. If the ref would have said no, the Eagle player would have fixed it and same result would have happened
That whole "out of bounds kick" rule needs to be changed. The kick wasn't out of bounds, the receiver was. Total bullshit, no matter what team you root for.
2 things: I don't know why the Packers are the only ones who seem to take advantage of that out of bounds kick rule. That seems like just a smart way to play those kinds of kicks. Those defenders have some serious hops to be able to leap over players to block the field goal. Those plays are just plain fun to watch.
I think it's a stupid rule. Receiving team should only get it at the 40 if the ball would go out of bounds on its own. If it stops in play like it did it should go placed at that spot
The real smartest play was making this vid 10:00 exactly
Ethan Waiser 😭
All about that money
Added the cob play twice. 🙄

Gronk playing safety is hilarious
@Sweaty Boy hi
Yeah. I'm a Dolphins fan and I love that play but I'd say it was "lucky" as much as "smart".
Yeah my first reaction was wtf was Gronk doing at safety?
Aosso

Back when the Packers Special Teams wasn’t an absolute disaster
We'll get it back.

Back when they used cheap antics instead of making good plays?

C why did he stop at the one
If he went in it would of been a 2 score game
i don't see how that's brilliant. If he had scored they woulda been up by 10. possibly 11 with the kick.
@@heyyy6068 if he kneels it’s a gauranteed win because they can kneel out the clock but if you score their is a small chance the other team scores then onside kicks and wins
Had he scored they would be up two scores I don't think it even mattered I would've walked in and said coach idc this is how I get my paychecks
The taking the safety with everybody holding was genius! Period.
Bro someone was getting choked like 3ppl did like a wwe move to take someone down and several were holding the jerseys 🤣 but yea that was smart asf
Not if you bet on that game since if I remember correctly the spread was -6 Baltimore or something like that.
It was so Mighty Ducks.
Kinda cheap if you ask me
Remember it's only smart if it works

I love how they put Gronk in at safety like they’re gonna try and throw an 80 yard Hail Mary. Whoooops.

That damned forward pass kick return
I remember watching that seahawks game. The kicking play juked the cameraman so hard, it confused everyone viewing 😂.
What the hell was gronk doing playing safety? 😂
He was supposed to be there to prevent a hail mary but well they didn't throw a hail mary
Awesome vid great content keep up the good work like from me
8:45 clearly a forward pass
When you stretch the video to ten minutes...
How is the Miami miracle one of the smartest plays? Just seems lucky to me
It was smart to keep the ball and go for the TD rather than try another lateral
Fat Fuck it wasn’t smart it was the obvious thing to do, they just got lucky
I bet u wouldn't say dat bout new England super bowl wins or just any wins they have
Lucky? New England put in Gronk because they thought Miami was going for a Hail Mary. The play was genius because it wouldn't have worked if they kept their normal Safety in the game.
#SavePewds From Tseries it's obvious after the fact. He hesitated to keep the ball or toss is and elected to keep.
Where was belicheck putting in Gronk on defense vs the dolphins
He was playing safety
Beast Mode Bears Belichick thought the Dolphins were going to Hail Mary it, and Gronk is tall enough to bat it down
@Dark Aura there’s no way the dolphins qb could have passed it that far with accuracy. He is not Aaron Rodgers
Beast Mode Bears he always does that
He lost them the game
The poor security guard at 9:17 almost got smothered 😭😭
😅
3:40 I never knew Westbrook played in the nfl 🤣
Man, didn’t even show Troy Polamalu jumping over the line to block the kick vs the Ravens. He’s the one who started the trend in the first place
Dwayne Harris 99 yard punt return?? definitely more impressive than jumping over a center
Zach Zaluski it’s smartest plays not impressive plays

QuissProductions I’m saying if he picked it up and tried to reverse field, that was worst case scenario. It was a great play tho
Coleman productions you hearted one of my comments and in return I will like you video. Keep up the good work.👍

listen to the announcers at 5:10 and then to the announcers at 5:28 i wish we still had the old style announcers.
Randall Cobb taking the kick out of bounds is 200iq
"Music City Miracle" is a forward pass all day.

These are great IQ plays
The Titans play wasn't smart, it was a forward pass which is a penalty
7:29 cut volume up all the way and listen
Randall Cobb taking the kickoff out of bounds is by far the highest iq play Ive ever seen
Right. And heads up...
What about the Seahawks and Bobby Wagner jumping the line
Kaepernick is standing there confused thinking, why am I wearing these pads and uniform?

That whole "out of bounds kick" rule needs to be changed.

AMEN..U CANT RUN OUT OF BOUNDS ON A PUNT AND BE 1ST TO TOUCH IT SO WHY ALLOW THE KICKOFF RULE...STUPID
Super bowl 52 tom Brady doesn't catch it. Regular season against eagles he caught it.
That first clip of tavon Austin n that punt return that takes some serious speed to do that
I swear we literally have a play called the Paxton special and the exact same thing happens
Its one thing to run a trick play coach drew up, but to me the best one was Cobb downing that kickoff with one foot out of bounds.
Nick Foles sounding like Batman lol
I was there at the first clip, was an awesome game to beat Seattle with how bad we were 😁
Yo I’m confused on the Randell Cobb and out of bounds clip cans someone explain please
It’s a 15 yards penalty if the kick went out of bounds. Cobb fielded it with one foot out of bounds, which made the kick out of bounds.
LeBryant Howard thanks !
I saw a 28-3 comeback once with 8 minutes left it the 3rd quarter. Anything is possible.
that tennessee kick return was an illegal forward pass lol
