Ok I know I’m late to explain this, but a “pass play” is just simply a play that involves a pass. This video isn’t on the longest passes through the air, does this clear everything up?

@3:29 This game was played on Christmas eve of the 2011 NFL season. The Giants entering the game were reeling at 7-7 after a strong first half of the year, and looked like they were going nowhere, but then won this game and subsequently got hot to not only make the playoffs, but go all the way to capture their 4th Super Bowl victory over the New England Patriots in February. Many sports analysts feel that it was this long touchdown play from Eli Manning to Victor Cruz which was the catalyst to their capturing the championship that season.

John Taylor is one of the most underrated WR's of all time. He always made big plays. Rice gets all of the attention, and deservedly so, but Taylor's presence benefited Rice's output. Opposing teams couldn't double team both of them. There were just too many weapons on those 49er teams back in the day.

Footage before 2000 has to be converted before it can be on the internet. Also multiple conversions causes most of the footage to get distorted and the quality goes down even further than the already sub par original quality. Furthermore, a lot of footage was lost due to it being taped over (an example being Super Bowl 1).

I was not disappointed. John Taylor still remains one of my favorite of all 49ERS players, partly because he has never been given the credit he deserves for being part of that great 49ERS era. @@just-Banks Explain? okay, i'll give it a try.
"in today's NFL there would've been no less than 8 flags thrown on that play." I'm saying that the NFL throws a lot of flags against aggressive defenders these days. Pretty self-explanatory.
"too bad they don't let them fight for it anymore," Also self-explanatory. I want to see defenses be able to be a little more aggressive.
"or else it might make modern passing records more amazing." Piggy-backing off the last point, since the defenses aren't allowed to be as aggressive as they once were, all of these new offensive records being shattered every year just aren't as respectable as they used to be. If the defense is hampered by bullshit rules that favor the offense, the offense is allowed to run roughshod over them. And that isn't fun to watch from a competition standpoint. Ergo, modern passing records just aren't as amazing as they should be.

I was a college wide receiver for USC and played in the Rose Bowl Game on New's Year's day in 1977. Our line of scrimmage was at the one yard line and I caught a pass at the 20; I ran all the way for a touchdown which set the record for the longest pass play in college history of 99 yards....
...but I also lie a great deal.
