It takes a confident man with an unapologetic fashion aesthetic to rock a Krink while wearing a Scott Stapp/Creed t-shirt! Folks just gotta embrace it "With arms wide open!" 🙆♂
The skewed proportions of chonky cans and drum mags on the little shooter makes me chuckle and warms my heart like that handguard
🥰
Love the look of the Putnik
No u!
I've heard many times in the past about Riley's rocky reputation with their AKs, but I truly believe companies can improve if they listen to feedback and constructive criticism. It's awesome that you're pushing against the stigma and giving it a chance instead of just writing it off like many other outlets on the Internet. It's exciting to finally have some Krinks back on the market!
That is a super significant amount of medal movement. Thanks for testing this out for us!
545 krinks are a vibe but 762 krinks are the way! 8” 545 is doodoo compared to a 8” 762! My 107ur is a stud and noticed the tamed recoil with my Wolverine installed too. Awesome video Klayco👊🏻
Krinks were designed for 545
@@justusbryant7366 That's common knowledge and doesn't detract from the OP's point.
Draco with a sba4 very underrated gun imo
@rodiculous9464 I have it and it's awesome.
I’m in the process of doing a 107ur krink build, did you drill out the gas restrictor ?
I'm not opposed to owning one, I just don't want to have to worry about them having issues after just a few thousand rounds. I do like the fact that riley defense is willing to learn from their mistakes like PSA with their early AK's (which weren't very good). It's promising that Riley is willing to fix things instead of completely ignoring problems and reselling the same trash over and over again like Century Arms.
How come none of my century arms are trash?
@@justusbryant7366 cause you havent put enough rounds through it yet
@spacepirate1955 bs you don't know what I've done. I'm tired of mfs on herebtelling me what I've done and what I know. You heard someone say something about it so you just repeate it that's what it is. PSA sucks.
@@justusbryant7366 idk man, forged bolt and trunnions, chrome lined barrels made by FN, and pre installed ALG trigger for 1,000 dollars is amazing. Even the gf3 aks made by them are super solid considering the 600 dollar price tag. No need to put Century on a pedestal above all just because thats what you have :)
@@justusbryant7366which Century Rifle do you have?
RAS-47 was Trash, Their N-PAP was trash and the receiver would warp, The Milled Centurion rifle would have major malfunctions. The VSKA at least when they came out would walk their barrels out after 1,000 rounds or so.
The new one they have the Bulged Trunion is doing okay from what I have seen. Unless you have the WASR-10 which Century Imports.
The Putnik suppressor design naturally reduces back pressure by dissipating and bleeding gas through the front ports. Fun fact this style of suppressor can usually be fired effortlessly through a short barrel platform and not need an adjustable gas block like most Cans
That Scott Stapp 👕 took me higher. Ha
Nothing says freedom like a traditional 30 round drum mag. Loving the American AK content.
A drum is 75 rounds, box mag is 30. 😅
Nah... that's a 30 round drum. (RUclips is watching)
Then it should be 29@@KLAYCO47
@@TheDoorspook11cthis one went way over your head.
@@jakefromstatefarm9721 😂😂😂
I appreciate that you're trying to stay unbiased and realistic with your reviews. I really think that bolt deformation after 500 rounds is very telling of it's quality and possibly the overall quality of the parts used. I've never had a bolt have material rolling over like that out of the 10 AKs I've owned (which were all imports except for my KR-9 and Tula AKM kit build). Tail deformation is a non-issue, it happens to any rifle some more than others but a little tail deformation is definitely normal. It's interesting that the suppressor was giving less back gas than the booster was, that's kind of surprising. Great video, hopefully within time you can get that thing up to a couple thousand rounds and we can see if that bolt deformation gets worse because that's the only real concerning thing I saw.
Thanks
Great test. I love watching you put this gun through an aggressive pace.
If you frequently run pistols or SBRs, suppressed and/or hot from rapid fire, consider a machine gun barrel bag for a gun case. Fold it open for a nice surface to set hot guns and suppressors on, that won't burn or melt.
I would like to see more round count test on this, and if possible...a wear/reliability comparison with a Draco/Saiga...others AK47s!
We do exactly that in the next video.
I would shed a tear to see a burndown/reliability test done on a saiga. But as an owner of one it would be really cool to see it done
7:36 "Ya just gotta send it, ya know?" That's meme-worthy content right there. 🙌
Awesome Kalash kontent, as always.
Scott Stapp onboard for this one, hells yeah
🎶"I'M SIX FEET FROM THE EDGE AND I'M THINKING!"🎶
Great, honest work my friend 👏👏👏
The tapco hammer face in my Wasr-10/63 definitely needs a good grind and polish. It doesn’t catch during a firing cycle but it’ll definitely catch if you rack it slow by hand. Great video as always
Nice run through. The wear and tear isn't that worrisome yet. The parts are new and will wear against surfaces. clean it up good and keep running it. Lets see how she does in another 500 or so. Keep up the good work! Wiah they had a wood version with the traditional Cone booster but that looks cool.
Bro your ak reloads are the best
That can looks pimp on it
I would keep an eye on that putnik can,A&R design blew up two of those cans, they probably gonna tell you to rockset the threading to keep the can from moving
Yeah I saw
A&R was part of the 2% that failed. His 2nd failure made us take a deep dive into the issue.
As long as your can has been repaired on recall or purchased after the recall range you wont have an issue.
@@tylerreeves5163 without knowing when Klay got his versus A&R got theirs serial number, wise or manufacturing date wise,Klay would able to ask the company that made it for sure
@@tylerreeves5163I have a putnik on the way so what’s the best way to keep it from coming off?
@@bleek911 torquing the mount on with a spanner wrench.
So far I like that Riley, looks good to me
My Riley Defense 16" 7.62 still running great suppressed
That can looks like the thing that gets sucked up the tube at a bank 😆 I love it!
Liked that Bank Tube comment.
That shirt is GOLD🤣🤣🤣🤣
My WBP lynx/ mini jack was also punchy good muzzle device and a kns piston and she breathing fire but she is subdued
Would love to see you do a review on the kgm industrial platform rail system. Its a pretty slick design and noone seems to be even aware of it
WOW!!! That flash can really works. It's so weird to see a Krink without a huge fireball in front of it. 😮
Creed really is making a come back, it's wild.
That suppressor is a vibe
For real
Ty brother
Thumbs up for the reloads alone man
I remember you commented that you don’t have no go gauge, I had an RAK47 by Riley, after 1200rds the headspace walked out. The bolt was super hard to rack back after a shot, failure to eject. Threw a no go gauge in and the bolt closed effortlessly. Please hit this with headspace gauges before you make your final dictation.
We check headspace in the next video.
@@KLAYCO47 this is great news for the viewers and the video itself, probably bad news for the krink.
Doing the Lord’s work
You da man mane!
yeah the wolverine on krinks and 100 series rifles needs the long RH thread insert
That weird shiny silver "tongue" in the end of that groove is your hammer drag and bolt catch in its travel. It could be contributing to the ammo malfunction. Especially if the Ammo is slightly under powered.
You are FAST. good video, thank you. Teflon tape on the thread's might help from backing off.
Oh, no... They make rocksett for a reason
Teflon is a thread sealer, not a thread locker - please never use Teflon tape on a can
It's that Fingers Fault, 30 rds a sec. Sick.
Thanks Klayco.
My boy got one fast finger. 👆
I just got an Arsenal Sam 7K, and was thinking how adding a Sureifre 300sps would do. This has me sold on getting the muzzle brake for it.
That things safety jumps all over the place when you run that thing fast. Might be something to keep an eye out for.
I found that Republic ammo was a bit hot. That odd failure to eject/double feed thing is most likely related to the bolt speed. Great vid brother 🤘
I did too
Blame that Finger.
I wish I would've bought cases of that republic ammo! That stuff is spicy!
And it was priced very well when it was available.
Can you do a review of the wbp mini jack in 556 I wanna see how you’d setup
That Putnik is bad ass.
It's pretty dope.
Klayco47
More discussion on the putnik please, like why it was loosening, even a comparison to the pbs1 🙏
Full review coming soon
Nice
My zpap has over 2,000 rounds on er but half the wear on the tail of the carrier.
Try a huxworks 762 flow suppressor you will amazed
Dig me some Krinkovs and small AK type patterns.
I have roughly 2-3k on my Rak47, hard to tell exactly with buddies bringing their own ammo. Have similar wear to the bolt lugs, none of the stem or the sharkfin channel, who cares about the tail tbh, but i do have wearin the lugs where the moved metal from the bolt meets it.
Anybody else notice the safety moving up while he was shooting??😆
Safety First
I've been looking at the bolt carriers and bolts of WBP offered on Arms of America. I have a Pioneer 5.56 on the way, inspired by your previous vids, and I've even been considering the WBP bolt carriers and bolts for my PSA as well. It's my suspicion that a lot of the weaknesses of some of these budget AKs are in the bolts, the firing pins, and the bolt carriers, and was curious if anyone has invested in these WBP parts from AoA.
This man putting in the work. Looks pretty solid. Is it a SLR107UR? Absolutely not but its also not $2700.
The sam7K was being offered for just 200 more than this pile of garbage. No reason to buy these soft metal guns
@thevally6127 Maybe by some crackhead under a bridge. I shopped for Sam7ks, brand new, everywhere they are $1800 to 1900. These are $1200. If one can afford better sure, but not everyone can live on Bently budget.
Not throwing stones here, but in what world is a Sam7K only 200 bucks more than this? Please let me know.
i ❤ Guns and MGS
Maybe got those first couple jams cuz of a full mag, and the ammo type? Trying to force rounds in too fast? Once less rounds, less spring pressure? Idk could be wrong.
Who knows
Looks good, I noticed the price is going up 1059-1299
Dang really?
@@KLAYCO47 thank God I got my 92 runs great
And one for the AlGoreRhythym of course 😏🤫
😂 great job again 💯
I'm just here for the creed shirt
I wonder if that roomy putnik has room for the gas to expand more smoothly but still offers good back pressure but the booster is tiny and cramped, idk just a theory.
Is there a way you can use one of those ak crush washers w it? I put one one my wasr to fix a wobbly muzzle device
That PUTNIK with that
“ BIG MAG” is definitely a Vibe 4 🔥Sure 😂❤ 🔥 Bolt is looking a little beat up 🔨 Definitely been researching and interested in the PUTNIK. CAN loosening is giving me a second pause on getting one.
For sure, looks dope as hell.
You should just take the booster cone out of the 4 piece booster. You dropping that drum mag in the dirt from chest high should be a crime. The FSB has been notified....
😅
My wasr 10 stove pipes every 3rd to 20th round. I just stopped shooting it
I understand the failure to eject frustration
17:47 you see me in my building? Try it out. I’m home here now. Try it out. You wanna try it out? Try it out 😂
RPC
I guess they are saying that it will happen but after a while it will settle in and that stuff will stop. But its definitely something to keep an eye on. To bad you didn't have a no go gage with ya
This weekend we check it.
Hey, bud. You see the new Timney AK trigger? Drop in. Would definitely like to see your thoughts on this trigger.
My draco was flinging casings 20ft up/ 40ft out when i put my sandman on. Even bent the rivets on the rear trunnion. What are my options to mitigate pressure? Still k&s pistons?
I don’t get why the safety selector cut in the receiver is so high on the rileys. It would be fine if they had an oversized selector stop plate like on zpaps and norincos. But without it, whenever you take it off safe quickly the safety lever always ends up going past the notch. Small annoyance from my experience with rileys
Scott Stapp Shirt is insta like.
Now you just need a Rick Astley shirt.
Nice I just woke up
do you ever take a wire brush and try to smooth down the jagged metal after a first shots?
No way, not on the bolt.
Anyone know if Riley sourced the four pieces from AK Builder? Makes sense that they discontinued theirs last year, if so
Could the bolt rollover/peening issue be easily solved by getting a better quality bolt? If so, are there readily available bolts from other manufacturers that would fit this gun?
I'm sure bolt could be headspaced to the gun like any other AK. We are pressing on with this one.
How tightly and consistently can you group shots with an optic mounted on the side-mount rail?
Checked that in the next video.
The Putnik is a low back pressure can my guy.
How to take 3rd pin threads to the next level? Officially licensed Scott Stapp AK shirt. 😂
Great idea
Will it run without the booster? If its beating you to death it sounds like with the booster its over-gassed.
I was watching this video on the TV, (not sure if it's normal or not) but when you are shooting fast, the safety is walking up and down like crazy...
FLOW THRU SUPPRESSOR IS POSSIBLY WHY ITS REACTING DIFFERENTLY JUST SAYING .
Well i asked the company last week if the bulgy plum furn.will fit and work. they said it would. will see. and the arsenal krink cone booster won't even fit or lock in. and the one you mention. so wazz up with that?I AM NOT GOING INTO ANY STREET apocalypse WITH IT. just shoot for some range time.. And a lounge chair gun movie fondler. BUT I AT LEAST WANT IT TO LOOK THE PART AND WORK.. GOOD VID. and 500 quick rounds in a hour nice workout . And what will buyers expect. a $3g plus original?
or it to outshoot a $4 g custom build.
its what it is a $1,000 buck u.s. made gun. and that's what we will get.no more no less.
Any one have any time on the Tela x39 ammo? Would it be worth picking some up?
Who's on the Bakelite mag Sadam Hussain? 😂
Alphonso Ribeiro “Carlton”. Lol
Indeed 😅
I think im going to step away from direct thread suppressors that has no locking mount alternatives. ALOT of wasted ammo trying to zero a direct thread suppressor
I'm 8 seconds into the video and wondering if you're going to say where I can find that shirt.
It look just like the arsenal 106 krink
what kind of red dot you got on it.
I’m really a fan of Riley and Ramsay and crew. We need them to be successful for the AK market to continue to flourish.
American made, needs to represent, Made in U.S.A. Only the Best made in the World.
President Trump.
they already have a 545 rifle why not make a few more parts and make a krink
AWESOME VIDEO BOSS MAN‼️🎯🎯🎯💯👌👍👍👍👍
If that bolt peening smoothes out and doesn’t progress that would look promising so far, if it gets worse that would be no bueno
Agreed
@@KLAYCO47 interested in seeing the PSA krink review. I have one with about 1000 rounds of steel cased wolf through it, looking good. Would be interesting to see more than a sample size of one.
Mmmmm it'll take more time to make a determination
I'm only a few seconds in...can someone timestamp when he explains that shirt he's wearing...never mind he addressed it right after i resumed watching.
👉 is PSA supposed to make a 300 blk out Krink ? 😕
That would be the shiz
@8:17 BRUHHHHH
Well i thought the putnik could use the front sight detent pin but i guess not?????? 🤔
So I reached out to them and they said they are working on a way to make an adapter that catches the detent pin. It comes ready to go for twenty four millimeter threads, but it has no way to catch the detent.
Wow that makes zero sense that they would do that
did anyone hardness test their trunnion?
seems like a lot of " metal movement " after only 500 rounds. soft bolt material? poor heat treatment? will keep watching.
Im 36 and I've literally listened to creed since the early 2000s. I remember listening to them shortly after 9/11. Im glad they made a comeback and like their new stuff. I just saw Breaking Benjamin, Daughtry, and Catch you Breath in Johnstown, PA.
Ive heard conflicting things about the putnik
