    Learned this method while I was infantry in the Marine Corps l, this IS the way to do it, only thing I would say do different is when shooting on the move DONT criss cross your feet you can trip yourself up, rotate your upper torso like a tank turret to face your target moving sideways, keep walking foward

      “Don’t cross your feet” is bullshit, you should know how to walk. We’ve been doing it for years believe it or not.

    • @sullathehutt7720
      @sullathehutt7720 5 месяцев назад +9

      The whole "shoot while walking out in the open" thing is an overhyped concept. It is almost never appropriate in an infantry engagement. If you need to close with the enemy, you should probably be bounding in teams and the maneuvering infantryman should be SPRINTING to wherever he's going. If you're clearing a space around cover, you should probably be doing it a lot more slowly, one pie slice at a time, carefully inspecting and processing the space, and not just gliding around the corner.

      @@sullathehutt7720 well ya its only if you abolutely HAVE to shoot on the move, still encouraged to shoot from behind cover after bounding from cover to cover and someone else doing the shooting to cover you while you move

    @klayco47 I just started following your channel about 2 weeks ago. I'll admit when I first came across your channel I thought ok another guy with way too much money to spend on toys. Running around in the woods preparing for the just around the corner dooms day. Not that you can't pick up a tip or two from that type of stuff, but there is a lot of that on RUclips already. Then I really started to give you a good listen and the more I did the more I could see your passion for the AK platform. Which in it self was nice but the real selling point for me was your character never came off as jerky, plus your trigger control look like something from a shoot out at sundown in the old West. Now to see your proper handling and stance on controlling the AK and not letting it control you was what sealed the deal. I was holding my mouse pointer over your video right where your muzzle was to see if there was any major muzzle flip and the obvious answer was no. Then you had your Wife shoot as well and she too just freaking killed it. I'm a big guy at 6'3 and 260 and while I think I control my AK in regards to muzzle flip. I'm no where near you or your Wife. Class was in session and I'm here for all the smoke. I have a new red dot that I was planning on sighting in this weekend when I get to my local range. Screw that, now the plan is to record myself while shooting and make sure my handling and stance skills get the attention they need. I've already screenshot you in the proper position and printed it out so I can use it as a reference when I'm at the range. Thank you for taking the time to put these amazing and highly informative videos together. I'm sure you don't need me telling you as I'm sure you hear it plenty but your work is amazing and your skillset is that of "Warlord". Keep up the great work and educational content.

    Some seem to forget this is recoil management taught by a competition shooter. It looks exaggerated because you need to wring the most out of yourself and your gear. Our enemies are cardboard, time, and sadistic ROs making you shoot tennis balls while standing on a trampoline. Am I going to duck walk in a firefight? Hell no! But in a course of fire where that shaves time? Then I'd quack if it improves my splits.
    The other advantage of get low, tight, and inline is accuracy. Not having your sights bob and weave under recoil quickens the followups.

    I use the magwell grip when the handguards start getting super hot, I've tried that center T method, I hate it, uncomfortable, I square up though, but not that way, I can man handle 7.62 without doing that center T method, but too me it's a great method to learn recoil, I think that's why center T teaches it, Bec shows a way to handle it, I grew up shooting 7.62 rifles myself from SKS rifles to AKs and the method yeah it is unnatural definitely a back killer for me, and knee killer for me, but it is a great method to learn to taime that 7.62 caliber recoil

    The curve of the AK stock always poked my shoulder. Been thinking of butchering my AK and putting a M4 style stock. Maybe this stance will help with stock discomfort im experiencing.

    Best sport to compare this to is baseball. Getting ready to take a ground ball or your on base Getting ready to run. Keeping a good base is important especially Getting ready to move.

    You really can see the recoil difference with Rachel's stance for sure.

      Because she's not pulling it back firmly enough. Hunching over would help a little bit but recoil control is mostly in the arms & chest.

    Just curious as to what you're doing in regards to push/pull with both of your hands. No matter what I do, my shoulder is getting pushed backwards.

    I've never had to deal with recoil much since my AKM is a Nornco Type-56 the gas tube has ALOT of vents... So I don't think this will apply to me.
    I also weigh 110 pounds but I'm 6 foot 1 inches tall... Maybe it'll actually work for me even with a soft firing chinese ak.

    My m70 recoils straight back and easy to control. My wasr is like a bucking bronc so over gassed lol. Muzzle rises so much.
