      Going to pin your answer to make sure people get the right info. This is true, in order to make E4, it used to be an advancement exam unless you were what is called a push button. which is automatic E4 from your rate, sometime even E5. But now it is based off of your eval. We completely forgot about that recent change when we made this video. Thank you for correcting us!

      @@askardc normal em I think that they just got rid of all the advancement exam from e3 to e4. I know a lot of people from different rate that got promoted to e4 with no exam

      Correct, I made IT3 this most recent cycle. The NAVADMIN that announced the elimination of the E-4 advancement exam came out at the end of December 2022 when I first got out of boot camp. All we had to do was meet the time in rate as an E-3, the E-4 PMK-EE, and our Advancement Worksheets through NSIPS.

    I did NJROTC in high school and I’ll be shipping out August 1st. My dad and mom are both Navy, but they have differing opinions on how I should play out my time in boot camp; my mom says that I should just lay low and try not to stand out as much as possibly, but on the other hand my dad says there’s also benefits to volunteering yourself/taking in a leadership role (being an ARPOC). I’m not too sure which way to go about it in that regard

      That’s funny. My mom told me to lay low and my dad said to volunteer too😹

    While in boot camp and have dependents, don’t you collect BAH for where your dependents are?

      Yeah I was going to ask the say question. Is it based on where your dependent is or us being in Great Lakes during boot camp?

    Hi when exactly do you get the quick ship bonus if its 10k & do you get the full amount at once??

    • @askardc
      @askardc  Год назад +1

      It depends. They have done bonuses like that before time and time again but the circumstances are always different. it should have been written on the contract agreement stating some similar to "upon the successful completion of boot camp/A School" etc.

      I actually know extremely little about Seabee life, are you a Seabee? would you be down for an interview for the channel so we can inform more about that life?

      @@askardc I is Seabee. Might be better if you’re able to find one that’s currently at Battalion or just recently left there to get a more accurate picture, as it’s been a couple years since I’ve been on the sea duty side of things there and I know through others that it’s changed just enough for me to be like “back in my day…” 🙃

      Would still be down to just chat. One of my mentors was a Seabee so much respect. Thank you for your service!

    The other thing they don’t tell you is, that you don’t get full pay during boot camp.
