Video just started, just saying for the people in the back - I've had my first Eonon stereo for over 6 years and it still works perfectly fine, never an issue. Just sold it. Got the current one in December and it works even better.

Nice Honda ;) I'm thinking of getting this UA13 for my Civic too. Have you had any issues and is the audio quality good that comes from the UA13?
Mekede has been on android 13 for a few months now. I have the mekede M7 plus which just came out in December. It's android 13 and it's upgraded from iOS display to a true QlED screen with 1200P and capable of playing 4k.
Im curious, is m7 real Android 13 or still fake? Did you test it with fake device tester apps for instance?
Hey man, thanks for the nice video. Any chance you can tell me if picture-in-picture works? Can you open Maps full screen, hit home, and have the Maps in a small window in the corner while using another app full screen?
Is there a UI option to manually turn on the back camera from the screen (similar to turning on the front camera with a button on the screen), without going into reverse, assuming the back camera was installed with a constant power line as well?

I have a winsix Android 13 get get it figured out could you please me the GPS is extremely slow can I have the GPS up in the front window and I cannot pick up no radio stations is there any type of settings that I have to go in and change and they absolutely send you know information at all

How's the on screen keyboard working for you?
I've just installed the same headunit in my car after having many Eonon head units the last 15 years and the bottom row of the onscreen keyboard is unresponsive.
I don’t use the keyboard regularly, most of the time, I’ll use the voice search but as of now, the keyboard is still fully functional. It’s inconvenient but you could try plugging in a usb keyboard and use that for typing 😅
@@Rawrkee I'm waiting to hear back from Eonon support. It's been pretty annoying trying to sign in to the play store or search on Spotify.
Hopefully it's just a screen calibration issue 🤞
How did you end up connecting the unit to your steering wheel controls on the Civic?

Could you create a video going over the specs of the system using apps like CPU-X?
Unfortunately lots of these companies are able to spoof the information visible on apps like CPU-X and Aida64 etc. It's hard to trust anything they say. ADB is the only way to know what's real and that's not simple for the typical end user.
Does it have AM radio ?

Yes, it’s a double din radio. You’ll need a radio kit for double din stereos
Does the steering wheel functions work?
yes but connecting it won't be straight forward. You'll have two wires for the steering wheel control that you'll have to play with. In some cases you only use one of them, in other cases, you'll need to use both. It'll take some trial and error to work but you don't need an adapter for it

How does this compare to a Atoto F7?
F7 doesn't run full Android. It uses a proprietary OS like name brand (Pioneer, JVC, etc) stereos do. It is simpler, faster, and easier to use if CarPlay/Android Auto is all that you want to do, but you cannot install any additional apps on the radio itself. This Eonon is full Android based, so it would be comparable to the Atoto A6 not F7.

Is this the top line unit (replacing the UA 12S Plus)?
Is this interface just for this unit. Eonon push out andriod 13 to UA 12S but the interface is still the same.
I haven't had the chance to check the 12S but I'm surprised to hear that you can update the 12S to Android 13.
I've checked out a few other Android units and there is no way to update them to a new Android Version. So Eonon is do something right 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Now you need to go watch the videos on how to bypass the Play Integrity test, or soon none of the apps will work. Doesn't seem like google likes what the Chinese are doing.
I love your videos man keep up the great car content. But these Chinese Stereos aren’t the move. Pioneer, Sony, Alpine are all made to last.

I'd usually agree, got a Sony in my ride currently and I've had my fair shares of Pioneer, Alpines, Kenwoods as well. As long as they're treated right, they will last forever. However, I have yet to see an Android based head unit from any of those brands. Maybe they will one day, make an Android head unit. It'd probably be a big hit, too. I mean, Google Maps, RUclips, Netflix, Pandora, Torque Pro (gauges), etc.. I idle a lot in my vehicle, RUclips/Netflix would be sick. And Torque Pro to show a wide range of gauges while driving, would also be pretty darn sick. I need to stop talking about this because the Torque Pro idea really has me itching to swap my Sony lol

Try rooting and hacking an Alpine or Kenwood or Sony to run some obscure app or launcher or canbus monitor. Those brands may last for years and the same goes for my Nokia mobile from 1999, but thats useless if it ain't got the media platforms and apps I need today in 2024.
Open (ish) platforms like Android Automotive OS 13 wired into your vehicle etc are game changing for IVI
