The altitude hold on the Avata would be a killer features for like home fly-throughs, I think, but otherwise I have to think my 2.5" and 3.5" cinewhoops are more capably flyers. And I don't have to send them back to DJI if I have a minor crash.
As a new avata 2 “pilot” it couldn’t be more true. I bought this based on a review (can’t recall the creator) who said it was the first drone he could just hand over to his dad and he’s flying straight away. Thats exactly the experience I wanted. And it’s great everyone in my family can fly it and that’s been a huge part is the enjoyment. The plan is: pay down the debt I’ve put myself into with this thing, get the FPV-3 controller, 100 hours in liftoff, 1000 hours on the avata 2… THEN I’ll be in a place where I should buy this particular drone. Maybe by then an air unit 4 will be a thing. 🤞
I feel like any 3inch cinewhoop is a better comparison to the Avata drones. Those will fly amazingly better than an Avata and carry an action camera. The difference in my opinion is that Avatas give you 3 times the flight time and position hold.
In a similar space, I have the Pavo25 V2 with O3. I love it... except the extremely PITA to access USB ports. I think about indoor cinematic flying with it, but I'd probably need to scale down the throttle, first.
I think I prefer the WS footage of this area you have put out in the past. But for me I would use a GoPro or action 4 for actual filming. DJI O3 doesn’t seem to quite cut it for quality.
Hi Stew and Steve, Great video and review of the Talon. The first thing I would do is get rid of those props, I have them on my racewhoop 30 and they break easily. Thanks for the video and info on these quad.
This doesn't look flowy enough for me. It looks more like its on rails. Could use a different tune and upped rates. Looks really good though. Might grab one for use out in the woods up north for filming atv's and SxS. Great video and I'll be looking into it more.
Wow that's a bold statement. Better then the avata 2?? I don't think so!! Nice little quad though now I want one 🤩. And I'm sure that's the reason you're trying to tell people to go that route instead of the best Air unit DJI has.
depends on the piloit. I think if we took drone pilots as a whole. most of the DJI pilots should just get the avatar 2. an FPV pilot who knows what they are doing should get this.
@@UAVfutures your the pro...I'm sure that's a fact. And had I known what I know now your right. I'm waiting for the 04 air unit if one comes. I'm happy useing my goggles 3 with my 03 unit on my baby hawk. Thanks for responding 😀
@@UAVfutures question? Can you point me in the right direction please? I bought a mobula 8 analog ELRS and I have a radio master pocket ELRS. What video will teach me the binding process? IDK if I should just bind it through tabs or plug three times and set radio on bind? Please help?
@@SBvice Agree! I've started my FPV journey about 1 month ago when I bought Liftoff Micro. I've started flying Acro right away and after a few hours it becomes second nature. It even feels a lot easier then Angle/horizon mode.
I started flying acro 12 yrs ago on open pilot flight controllers. It's the only way to fly. It's so much easier nowadays with the newer flight controllers.
Who here thinks they could film something better with a drone like this than a typical DJI avatar pilot?
You mean avada pilot?
my channel and probably most other non-consumer drone channels all have footage better than the average 'Avaduh pilot'.
I don't see why I couldn't !

Never try this one but I am in love of the Darwinfpv Cine Ape 25 because very easy flying even been bad pilot

welcome to FPV. F4NDQ-EN8PG-L2XYI this is a steam key to redeem for a simulator if you dont have one.

Hope the hglrc electronics have improved. Had bad experience
It's great to have so much content from you again

I've been flying the Talon for a few weeks and I'm very happy with it 👍. But you should remove the sticker from the cooler.😅

What the Avata2 seems to give up in flight performance, it gets back in spades in flight time.
A 4” quad with lion can fly twice as long as an avata 2.

Are you sure this quad can really lift a full size gopro? That would be awesome!
yep. its going to suck the power but it can be added to it.
Nice looking drone but I’m not gonna lie- that Rapala shirt looks awesome!
thanks. good shirst for when i go fishing too
When this has the gm gimbal and native headtracking with the goggles it might be close to avata 2? The Avata2 is also nearly as cheap as this?
It's the gimbal and flight times you're paying for with the dji stuff tho.
We all have a collection tho to tick allll the boxes ✅😁

Can you use DJI remote 2 for TX control on this quad ?
Thx
I guess I’m in that 2%! Acro has a steep learning curve.
