I have never been so impressed with a drone. Which version would you get. bit.ly/Lightning2FPV BONUS- leave a comment and let's get this video to 1000 likes so we can give one away to you guys here.
@@AngerFPV its a 2 inch, but honestly anything up to a lightweight 3.5 like the crux35 are so damn quiet than once your more than about 20m away you cant even hear it, ao you can fly in a park surrounded on all sides by houses and no one cares
I agree with you. I have the babyape 3” modified to HD WS and powerful motors. It’s so funny to fly with it and as you said, you cannot hear it 20 meters away from it.
It makes me glad they have an analogue version cos after 10 years of building and flying I still haven't upgraded to digital. Very cool little drone. Keep up the great work :)
@@ricardoribeiro8037 Also analog is just cheaper. If you crash digital you have to replace the whole air unit (i'm talking about DJI here) whereas if you crash analog and break something its either the camera or VTX/VTX antenna and they are around 20-30 dollars each USD.
A couple of years ago i won a bumblebee cinewhoop during one of your livestreams, i’ve flown it a couple times and then gave it to a friend that had a small drone so he could upsize, then we transplanted the electronics into a mini apex and made a little 3 inch ripper. Anyway it was amazing. Thank you stew❤
It's just so heart-warming to see companies actually making cheap drones that actually fly this good, never had the opportunityto fly a little guy like this one, hope one day I can make one for myself
I have been a drone enthusiast for 10 years. I own few DJI’s….& bins of broken cheaper ones that helped me get to the top of my comfort level on a cinematic drone. I have always wanted to get into fpv as the next step. This drone seems like the perfect transition
@@AP-fo4je Yeah best drone ever comes with an entirely exposed camera lens, thin as shit frame/arms that you can't replace, mid pids at best.. And yeah I've flown it. Don't get me wrong it's a great quad from a performance perspective in the 2" category, but the best drone EVER? C'mon what
What about the Lizard95? For its time 75mph from a 2” quad was 5” QUAD LEVEL! And it costed 130$ and ran 3s. NOT 4s+ cant believe he forgot that thing. It was absolutely WICKED.
Im just now trying to get back into fpv after not doing anything of the sort for like 5 years and to see the technology of these things improve so far is crazy to me
Just got into fpv recently, and I think I prefer the smaller size of these micros. More places and opportunities to fly them safely. Everywhere I go now im just looking at everything as an obstacle to fly through. Im hooked!
Got a Radiomaster Pocket radio that I've been using for sims and have been slowly building a 6" drone. This sounds like a great start while i finish researching and building this thing.
I just ordered that controller, bought the sims and waiting for arrival. Figure if I can't get proficient in a sim, it's probably not for me. I have had a DJI mini 3 and wanted to see if I would also enjoy that next level of freedom. Glad to see I'm not alone!
I used to love flying RC planes and helis, was stepping into nitro before I fell out of the hobby. Coming back to drones has been a lot of fun and your videos have been a lot of help navigating what's out there, thanks. I'd love to own a Lightning V2 YMZFPV, looks like a lot of fun!
Hey Stew! Another great job mate. How does it compare to the Happymodel Mobula8? I know the Mobula is a ducted design, but I'm interested in how that difference comes across in the flight characteristics.
Just getting started on fpv, got a boxer radio, been putting time in the sims, got the goggles L coming, trying to decide two smaller drones. This looks to be one of the two. Thanks for the vid keep them coming.
Trying to build a few little drones like this, tried flying a 5inch first after stablised drones and it is too much to handle. A small one like this is perfect for flying wherever you want without worrying about the dangers that come with bigger stones especially for beginners!

My yard flyer is a 2in 2s HDZero build with elrs and 1102 motors on a Pickel streched frame. I'll build a Walksnail version next. My bigger quads and bigger battries are just taking up space. I blame Nick Burns.

I just ploughed my Analog version into the ground and broke my camera so upgraded to a walksnail HD. A lot of pfaffing but got it going still flies awesome and the video is so crisp. I think I’ll upgrade the ELRS per your comment around the receiver. Thanks again.
This thing looks like so much fun, planning on switching to walksnail this would be the perfect gateway would absolutely love this thing. Great video also keep it up, this is currently one of, if not, the best fpv channel arround.

I flew my Avata 2 into a 6x6 wood post at around 30mph and the only damage is a slight bend in the plastic bumper. I am throughly impressed with the durability, I’ve crashed a bunch since then and so far not a single broken prop or scratch on the camera. Hi, your video shot in studio seems little out-focus?
i recently bought avata 2. would love to try this one !!!
The problem with a drone this small, is that you can't carry a GoPro or any other full sized action camera
I love that I have no clue what the differences are.
I haven't fallowed UAV stuff in a while but I guess at least I'm not locked into any system.
🙏
drones of this size are so underrated, the ability to fly virtually anywhere makes fpv so much more fun
