Might have been better if you spend 30 minutes a day reading a book on both devices.

I just upgraded my kindle 4th Gen after 12 years of ownership to a kobo colour.
Battery life on the 4th gen still is great still getting a month to 2 months battery life reading about 20 mins a night with my daughter.
    Great vid 👍🏻

@@phillgriffiths8752 how would you rate your experience with the Kobo? Has the change from Amazon been good?

Thank you. I think the "reading test" can be performed with the help of "finger bot" device which will do an actual press/touch every 20 seconds or less.

    Phenomenal video and incredibly-
    from what I’ve seen-
Something NO ONE has done before.
    Great job!
And actually some very impressive work from Amazon.
I’ve had Kindles for over 12 years at this point and, until today,
never really had any idea they would really last this long.
Of course when you have Wi-Fi off there will be a dramatic difference-
and I suspect if both devices were in airplane mode they’d probably have been neck and neck.
I don’t have the Scribe , but I’m guessing that the giant battery in there would still probably outlast all of the other much smaller models.
The Paperwhites battery is definitely the best of any kindle I’ve ever had, and dramatically better than the battery on the Oasis, but it’s still pretty surprising that it lasted almost two months even with WI-FI turned on!
Excellent work guys - and very helpful!

I currently own an Oasis and have owned several earlier kindles. Using Wi-Fi or Bluetooth drains battery quickly especially if you forget to go back to Airplane mode. Many years ago Amazon said earlier models would last for 2 weeks (reading 2 hours a day). You might be able to read 2 novels inside but not outside before needing to recharge. My Kindle holds a charge for over a month if I'm not using it.
