All I want is a new oasis. Even after owning a paperwhite 11th gen my 9th gen oasis is what I love using. It's design is so perfect that I don't even use a case anymore
@@sooryanandanans236 I love my Oasis! I had no idea they discontinued it. If it had colour, it would be perfection for me.
Interesting. I own the Voyage, Oasis, Paperwhite, and budget Kindle and the budget version is the one I use most, mostly because of its size. I kinda wish they'd come out with a phone-sized kindle like the Boox Palma.
@@VanGoWanderlust I would *love* a Palma sized Kindle. I'm assuming that Amazon's price would be lower, which is what's keeping me from getting a Palma.
@@sooryanandanans236 Me too. I love my oasis.
I love my Oasis too.
Something with page turn buttons. Otherwise I don't care.
That is why I love my Barnes & Noble Nook. It has the buttons.
I just purchased a Kobo Libra Colour and I love it so far! It ticks all my boxes. I love the buttons, the auto rotating feature, the ability to annotate and of course, the colour! The whole device is just so easy to hold and comfortable in every way.
I love my Kobo Libra Colour ereader too!
Don't really care as long as they keep making the basic model. I don't want a colour screen or page turn buttons - I just want an e-reader that does the basic job of letting me read a book!
They need color, as others have it, I love physical buttons, and if it opened faster, great
I would love to have an upgrade of the very known Kindle Oasis, but this time with the 8” display, color E Ink screen, also color version with 3 or more options on the back such as: silver, gold, rose gold, graphite, olive etc.
That would be awesome and totally brand new 🤓🤓🤓.
Oasis Scribe
Ugh. This is disappointing to hear for us oaisis folks 😭 The paperwhite is ok. But I loveeee the oaisis so much, I went and bought a backup. You'll have to pry it from my cold, dead hands!! A colored oasis with usbc charging and the power button in a different place where it doesn't get bumped would be ideal for me. If not, I'm sticking with my oasis 3rd gen until they both give out on me!
Perfect for me would be a 6-inch kindle with physical buttons, recessed screen and warm light. But that's not what's coming, nor will it ever come again...
I would like a color Kindle Oasis.
it would be perfect!
Yes, that would be most ideal.
Hi. Wish list: a Scribe with Gallery 3 color and Bluetooth keyboard compatibility AND the ability to write notes ON my books.
It would cost $700
I’d like a color scribe, same size as the first, under $400
A new Oasis please! Or a Paperwhite with improved lighting and physical page turn buttons.
I am not surprised. The Australians Amazon store haven’t had paperwhite stock for weeks. *does happy dance*
@@lordramoth3416 YES I’ve been trying to get my first ever kindle and in Australia it is out of stock or presale! Shipping after 23. My thought is that it’ll be released 8-13 October or Labour Day sales / Prime big day sale is scheduled so Amazon can sell theirs first and then the rest can start selling
I am waiting for a colour Kindle Scribe. Would like to be able to write notes on books, not just sticky notes. A better selection of templates. I don’t need it but it would be nice. I looked at the Remarkable Paper Pro but felt it was too expensive for what it was. Whilst note taking is handy, my primary use is still as an e-reader
the painting always disturbs me, had to scroll up the webpage.
Down, you mean?
what painting
Thanks for the update. I love my Oasis still because it’s lightweight and has page turn buttons. I also liked my Voyage. I have been disappointed in the Scribe. My wish would be for a new Kindle with page turn buttons and fast charging. I’m not sure if I care so much about a color display, but it depends on how nice it is I guess.
I'm so excited for the colour kindle
I don’t think it’s this, but I would really like to see a phone sized kindle paperwhite. Something like the boox Palma, but specifically from kindle. Everyone loves the kindle screens.
@@cotymorris wishing for this as well. Kindle mini? 😂
@@noogadad it would really be a perfect e reader for so many, especially traveling readers. Are you from Chattanooga (noogadad)? If so, me too.
@@cotymorris Yes born and raised! 🍻 crazy!
@@noogadad same here! Love it!
I’m hoping for this too!
I worked in FCC compliance.Basically units are taken to a testing facility and they are tested for electro magnetic interference. There are labs far away from big cities (look up Mariposa, California near Yosemite) and devices are tested there. The FCC process is fairly simple and direct so companies like Amazon can time their applications well in advance.
Will never buy a colour kindle unless there’s zero compromises to contrast and actual reading.
After buying the Kobo Libra Colour I can't imagine Amazon coming out with a better ereader than color, buttons, stylus, etc.
Amazon please make a Kindle Paperwhite Mini!! Like the Boox Palma but for us kindle girlies!
Amazon has never made a device smaller than 6", and I doubt they ever will.
I love my kindle oasis. But the micro usb and not having wireless charging is starting to make me wish it had them. I loved the haptic flush "buttons" they did with the Voyage, although I never owned one. IDK. I like the Kindle ecosystem. I guess whatever new kindle they drop, I'll probably get it, even if it's not color because i think it's time for an upgrade. I was thinking on getting the Signature one with its usb C and it's wireless charging, its so good. But I think I can still hold on to the Oasis which is really good but outdated in certain key parts, but other than that, the Oasis is a Top kindle. Can't wait to see what and when Amazon drops new kindle. Color e ink tech it's still not vivid enough and the great amazon ecosystem is what keeps me from jumping to another brand.
Would love another oasis or a Paperwhite with page turn buttons basically i just want page turn buttons and keep the warm lighting and I'm happy idk if its color or not but bonus if it does
Most likely a PW and PWS using the new Carta 1300 screen. Then I'd imagine a refreshed Oasis w color next year.
I thought they discontinued the oasis....
Just when I lost my Paperwhite and was about to buy a new one, I found this video. I would rather wait if I can buy a new one once released.
I just bought a scribe lol
I’m hoping for a color edition that shows the book covers in color. I’m also wanting it to be more touch sensitive. I’ve bought the most recent Paperwhite and I’ve been so disappointed that the screen lags so badly when I’m scrolling through my library. I’m hoping this new edition of the Kindle will fix that. I also think/hope the new Kindle will be revealed a day or two before the next Prime Days in October. I would love to put one on my Christmas list!
The Paperwhite Signature Edition has wireless charging, not necessarily fast charging. :)
I don't think we're going to see page buttons on a Kindle. It's been so long since they've done that that I'm led to believe they've abandoned the idea.
And to be honest, color on a Kindle, while more likely than page buttons, wouldn't really excite me. Not unless the color technology is vastly superior to what I've seen. I've got a Fire tablet for when I want to see color. I don't need washed-out color on an e-reader.
What I'd really like is for Amazon to make a Paperwhite-sized Scribe. If they pen-enabled the Signature Edition, that would be enough for me to upgrade, if they could keep the price reasonably down.
I have a Paperwhite Signature Edition and a Scribe (and have owned the latest generation Oasis and Voyage). Of all of them, I like the Voyage the most. The haptic page buttons felt like an ideal solution-the only reason I "upgraded" was that I always need the top-tier Kindle because I use it all day, every day, and need the fastest processor. The Scribe, on the other hand, sits by my bedside, and I really only use it as a reader (as opposed to a note-taker) because my reMarkable 2 (soon to be Paper Pro) is far superior for that.
@@nichijin The Voyage was my absolute favorite Kindle, ever. I was so sad when they discontinued it.
I got the Oasis next and was never as happy with it as I was with the Voyage. I got the latest Paperwhite and I really like it. I never really used the physical buttons because I do most of my reading when I go to bed and I prop up the Kindle and tapping the screen is the best way to turn pages.
What a "timing", I just bought a Paperwhite Signature Edition a month ago...
It's gonna be kindle paperwhite and ❤ paperwhite colour not signature and non signature version
I already have two new kindles so I definitely don’t need another one but man… if I were rich I’d start collecting them for no reason other than I can 😂
I hope amzon will release an e reader with a much larger screen. Smaller than 7" is too small.
I'm waiting for a 13-15" color screen, similar to the screen size of a laptop. A 10" screen doesn't make much sense - neither small enough for pocket, nor big enough for serious work.
@@ahmedabbas3998 so like the kindle scribe? Because unfortunately I highly doubt Amazon would bring a device that’s bigger then 7-8” and that would be a upgraded kindle oasis
Please bring back oasis with better battery life and type c fast charging
I have a voyage and love it!! I would love a colored Kindle with page turn buttons!
I still have my kindle from a few years ago and its great aside from Amazons crappy locked down eco-system. Next ereader is a Kobo. Amazon is a horrible company and deserves to go the way of the dodo bird.
@earlgrayman982 lol not saying I disagree with your view on Amazon, but they are going nowhere
I recently seriously considered switching to Kobo and looked for the last five books I had read to compare prices but two of them were not available on Kobo. I don't know much about Rakuten but Amazon really treats its employees poorly.
Any excitement for Kindle products was killed for me after that last update bricked everyone’s kindles. The neutering of the kindle team( among others) was the death knell. Amazon leadership lacks any true direction and depth and they clearly only care about the wallet instead of customer experience now.
I think Kindle Paperweight would be a good model name as you pronounce :)
estoy esperando por la kindle color que se supone que saldra el otro año
I want a basic with color.
Paperwhite white colour would be my guess.
Any kindle with color 🙏
Colour Kindle Scribe!!!
i really hope it’s in color otherwise there’s no reason to upgrade the kindle you already own (if you own one) i hope it’s not too expensive though
Gallery will be great
I definitely want a Kindle color ereader. i got the Kobo Libra color ereader which I love but had to transfer my Kindle books where I used calibre software and did a couple applications to get this done. I also want the turn buttons like on my Kindle Oasis. I hope Kindle also has a notebook section with a stylus pen option too, especially for annotating and highlighting books. I bought the page turner button but i do not like that it covers words. I hope they release this color ereader soon.
I would like to see an audio jack for listening to audio books on the new kindle ereaders. I would like to see the Kindle Paperwhite. Do you know when Amazon will make the announcement on the new Kindles?
Any kindle with a back light, decent size screen, colour and the ability to right directly on the pages please!
There is a noticeable change within the kindle ecosystem. A lot sold out. Bundles with the scribe too. Exciting to see what is coming soon!
I want a 6’ coloured screen, epub, usb transfer & proper TTS (Voiceview is not good enough). The price is not cheap so they should have enough fund to implement these basic features. Kindle users seem to be just happy for whatever they get from Amazon.
Both the existing models are available for same day delivery in the UK..
Yup - Kindle and Paperwhite. The Signature is out of stock in the UK though.
Yes, this doesn't hold true for every single market. And a lot of places are one per customer per account per order history
So it's not like these are available for everybody
@@goodereader well, you specifically called out the UK in your video so that's why I commented. It just seems like a bit of a baseless comment to make.
Nothing in stock in Australia except the Kindle Scribe. Every other Kindle model is: “Currently unavailable. We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock.”
I've owned two Kindles, four Fires, and a Nook, and by far my favorite has been the 1st gen Fire-essentially an e-reader with a color LCD screen. I wish they still made something like it. Mine is still working, but the LCD's whites have started to tint slightly orange.
I will never support Amazon.
I am still hoping for a comeback of recessed screens. I have lost all the passion of reading on kindles with these flushed screens and they do get my eyes strain and dry (so easily) when I read with them. (You have to turn on the backlight to reduce reflections, and the backlight causes eye strain; while using recessed-screen devices, I never needed to use backlight.)
Recessed screens are so much better! I doubt amazon will ever do it though
Curious how recessed screens feel did dent in the eyes? I’ve had them but don’t recall the difference.
@@tsetienchu2482 there is one more layer of material/glass on a flush screen, which makes the clarity a bit worse. It is nitpicky but if you're used to reading on a recessed screen as I am, flush screens just look slightly less sharp. Kind of like if you looked a real book through a thin glass sheet.
Perfect Kindle for me would be the size of a hardback book with colour eInk screen.
I hope they keep a black and white version, like Kobo did. The colour screen isn’t as crisp as BW
Ugh I just bought my kindle signature haha.
ill never forgive amazon for buying and killing liquidvista
Nice to see that something happens on that matter. I wonder if Scribe will receive enough attention to take advantage from its spec 😅
If my Oasis was color, it would be perfect.
Just bring warm color to basic kindle, please !
I guess I'm first as I was holding onto buying a new paperwhite for 5 years
Cloud Library Support Please...
I’d love to see a basic one, but with the yellow light as in Kobo.
I would love a new voyage ,loved mine till it died
Amazon, do something amazing and release Scribe with buttons, black and white though.
Whatever they did it's already in the bag ..
I hope it is color editions. I've had my eye on kobo...but the book selection is just not as big. Not sure how I feel about gallery3 though.
I had a kobo libra color, and I sold it after 2 months. I liked it, but after owning a Kindle, the screen quality just doesn't compare. You have to turn the brightness up almost completely, even in natural lighting, in order to see the screen well enough. Plus, the screen isn't flesh with the front of the device. There's a little ledge all the way around the screen, and my dogs hairs would get caught in there, and I was always afraid of scratching it, trying to get them out🙃
When are they gonna announce it?
I'm happy for them to catch up, but I've given my daughter my scribe, as she loves it. I picked up the Libra color and really enjoying Kobo ecosystem. Only thing I miss is Amazons time remaining settings. Kobo time remaining is ok but I prefer minute option and not Kobo lack there of... instead of saying 4 hours 23 minutes Kobo says 4.5 hours. That gets on my nerves. I also don't miss being tied down to only Amazon ecosystem. Don't get me wrong, as I still have an oasis and PW SE, but my main go to reader is my Libra 2 and Libra colour at this time.
@@thebookishdad Strange. I have NickelClock downloaded on my Kobo Libra Colour (which I LOVE) and at top of page minutes in chapter is shown and at bottom time remaining in book - my current read shows 6.2 hrs remaining.
@@kathyw.1835 I meant out of the box. Without nickel and or koreader etc. I use koreader btw. I just would have like a more precise time rather than a 4.7 or 4.5 hrs remaining etc etc
So boring just another paper white, I'm buying a kobo. A colour kindle is just a kindle fire and not nearly as good as an Ipad mini. What are kindle engineers doing ?
No physical buttons please. Just get a page turner. I won't buy a tablet with overkill buttons.
