Twisted Sister was a truly iconic band from the East Coast glam rock scene, starting out in the 70's, rising to fame in the early-to-mid 80's, but crashing before the end of the decade. Lead singer Dee Snider has made a name for himself as a radio personality and is a huge supporter & promoter of hard rock & heavy metal music. Check out the Twisted Sister classics - "We're not gonna take it" ... "You can't stop rock n' roll" ... 'The Price' ... 'Stay hungry' ... 'Love is for suckers' ... 'Burn in hell' ... 'The kids are back' ... 'Under the blade'.
The classic Twisted Sister here (1984) was: Dee Snider (vocals), J.J. French & Eddie Ojeda (guitars), Mark 'the Animal' Mendoza (bass) & (the late) A.J. Pero (drums) 🤘🤘🔥🔥
This is one of those bands that you have to SEE to fully appreciate. Their videos are fun, goofy, and very entertaining.

Just before watching this I watched a new video uploaded a few days ago, Visions of Atlantis - Legion Of The Seas. They're symphonic power metal from Styria, Austria, the lead vocalist is Clémentine Delauney who's also part of an all-female singing group called Exit Eden that does metal covers of pop songs.
This was one of my first concerts 😂... I'm pretty old lol. I was about as excited as as you 2 were for Metallica! Keep rockin

Fun Fact: I think this is the same TS band that my favorite band (you know who) did a cover of in a song called "We're Not Gonna Take It". When the singer saw their video, he shared it on his Facebook.

Check out "Stay Hungry" the title song from the album this song came from. TS has some great fun songs and some with good messages to them. Also check out their classic "Under the Blade" which the government tried to get censured. Dee Snider the lead singing along with a few other musicians testified before congress over the censorship. Parental rating was the result of those hearings. TS rock and history.

parents thought we were all a bunch of evil devil-worshippers because we loved this music. Would love to see you react to anything from Dokken Tooth and Nail. The guitar will blow your mind, as it did ours.
You will never forget this song but there are so many more by them! I alway liked 'Destoryer' because it shows a different side. Also, please watch the music video (if just for yourself). It really doubles the fun!

Okay, my next suggestion for you is Beth Hart, the premiere female blues singer in the world today. You can get her more polished doing "I'd Rather Be Blind" with Joe Bonamassa on guitar or any number of her other songs ("Fire On the Floor", "Black In My Soul", "Caught in the Rain", and many many others). She is so real and powerful - one person said her voice could bring down light aircraft. She will utter the occasional bad word - you just have to put up with it. She has just released a tribute album to Led Zeppelin - how many women can sing the harder Zep songs that Robert Plant sang on? You all will love her - plus she is a California girl.

Its great to see you girls appreciate metal that has been around longer than you have been. This song is better with the video. If you want to hear a really good metal band the radio doesn't play I suggest you give a listen to Question of Heaven and Dracula by Iced Earth. Also give "The Messiah Will Come Again" by Gary Moore. Mr Moore's guitar solos on that are absolutely incredible.

Great Reaction. I was in 9th grade when this album came out. It was huge.
Although often overshadowed by their outfits and their music videos, Stay Hungry is an excellent solid metal album.

hey girls, good job in making your posts fun to watch. you have variety and good taste in music, as well. i know you react to some rock en español too; so i wondered if you guys ever heard of stravaganzza. they have a cover of mecano's 'hijo de la luna' which i think is fantastic... better than the original. if you have a chance give it a listen
As a huge Twisted Sister fan since Under The Blade I have to say that I Wanna Rock and We're Not Gonna Take It are the worst possible introductions to this amazing band. Those 2 songs have a very specific message to a group known as the PMRC, unless you know what all the fuss was about go watch Dee Snider address Congress arguing against Conservative censorship based on allegations that heavy metal is Satanic and promotes physical & sexual violence, suicide and is the gateway to drug overdoses and turns people gay. The "Father" character in the official videos is Mark Metcalf reprising his role of Doug Neidermeyer from the movie Animal House, he was chosen because the character best represented the oppressive, bullying nature of of PMRC founders Al & Tipper Gore.
Better songs would be You Can't Stop Rock & Roll, Burn In Hell, Wake Up The Sleeping Giant or Come Out & Play. I do like this song, just not as a first time reaction to this band.
