I truly enjoyed your reaction. Shinedown is one of my favorites! Brent’s voice invokes emotion. I watched their journey for almost 20 years. They do not disappoint
My band opened for Shinedown back in late 2004/early 2005 just after they broke and were on their upswing. It was an amazing time! Great super loud crowd, met Brent briefly and had a few words with the guitar player (not sure if he's the same one now). Brent stole the entire show, super dynamic performance. There was another opening act on tour with them (we were the local opener), I don't remember who they were but they were really good and we hung out with them while both not performing, super cool guys. I'm glad I have this memory.
The guitar player you spoke with may have been their first studio & live lead guitarist, Jasin Todd, Or their backup touring guitarist at that time and all-around lead guitarist since 2006, Zach Myers. I never had the opportunity to meet Jasin, but Zach is an all around great human being.
this is similar in topic to Lynard Skynard’s tune, “The Needle and the Spoon.” they, whether presently or in the past, have struggled with drug addiction. this is hard, man. don’t know much abt. this band, but sounds like one or more is crying out for help… hope they got it, or will. great reaction lil’ ladies!
Shinedow has never been afraid to write lyrics about things that they have personally faced. Drugs, alcohol and mental health are something few talk about publicly. Shinedow sings about those things AND tries to give hope and positivity to their fans. One of the few bands around that will share their own troubles in order to give hope and support to anyone.
My fav concert of theirs was their first acoustic tour and before each song they gave a description of the song and what it meant. The lead singer had a huge drug problem and this song is about this. Basically saying don't be afraid to get and ask for help.
I always love seeing your reactions, Juliet and Mia. I love how you pay close attention, and really listen and hear and empathize with the singer. And that’s in addition to appreciating the music. Hope you’re doing well!
Good to see the pair of you! Hope all is going well for you and yoru family. Quite a powerful song, and some of the syncing of the guitar and voice really was emotive. As Juliet says, and as is said in the description, there *ARE* people and organisations only to willing to offer an ear to listen, a shoulder to lean on, and generally be supportive.
YOUR BACK!!!! Amazing song and reaction!! Wonderful message to people who are feeling suicidal. They are never really alone even though it may feel that way sometime. It is wonderful of you and your family to extend your hand to them.
I love Shinedown seeing them 7/21 @ The Hard Rock for my 69th birthday 🎂. Suggest Symptom of Being Human going across all the charts. They hold the record for the most number 1s on the rock charts. Billboard Mainstream just named them the best rock band of the last 40 years. They also represent Suicide Prevention. They gave one dollar of every ticket sold to suicide prevention from the last tour. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
My favorite band! This song is early in their career! They have had a change of lineup in 2007 and are still going strong. Their latest album came out last year. Tweny years in, Brent Smith's voice is still amazing! Check out something from "The Sound of Madness" or something more recent.
first song I heard of them from around my freshman year of high school (04). been hooked ever since, their live shows are awesome 🤘🏻🔥🍻 check out anything of theirs next, can’t pick a bad song
They have a vast library you two would enjoy, Diamond Eyes, Second Chance, plus the singer and guitar players side project, Smith and Meyers good stuff
HI Girls! I just wanted to ask: Have you ever reacted to anything by the music group Queen &/or their lead singer Freddie Mercury? Did you know… …Freddie has been voted Best Vocalist/Best Frontman in Rock Music. Freddie also recorded an album of OPERA (Barcelona) w Spanish operatic soprano Montserrat Caballé. (They were the FIRST-ever professional musicians to cross music genres/record a collaboration w someone in another music field.) …Queen’s guitarist Sir Dr. Brian May has been voted Best Guitarist in Classic Rock/Best Guitarist Overall. When he was a teenager, he built his famous guitar out of antique bits & pieces in his parents’s house. (He’s also an Astrophysicist/has done work w NASA.) …Each of Queen’s 4 band members is individually in the Hall Of Fame for having written Number 1 Hit Songs. …Singer Lady Gaga (a huge fan of Freddie’s) got her stage name from the Queen song “Radio GaGa”. …Freddie Mercury’s song “Bohemian Rhapsody” is the most streamed song of the 20th century! …Queen is the only group who are renowned for being even BETTER LIVE than in-studio. (My FAV live performance: “Somebody To Love” at Milton Keynes Bowl in 1982)
fyi: At livestreams the oldest girl, Juliet, has stated that Queen is one of her favorite bands and she has heard a lot of their songs. That is why they don't react to them very often. If you suggest a song she has not heard, they may react to it. They did react to the song Long Away: ruclips.net/video/aesXqSBAWkQ/видео.html Peace : )
A very serious and powerful song with a very serious message. Music trends go through phases and this angst ridden grunge phase was important, a generation that felt lost and abandoned, but it couldn't last, people can only take so much anguish before wanting to party down. Still, bands like this left an important mark and it is good that we have this, since the problems will always be there. - And now for something completely different. Recorded on a phone from the front of the mosh pit, with lousy video and lousy audio, here is an absolutely electrifying performance by one of the biggest stars out there, a woman who can sell out 40,000 seat venues in a couple of hours, and I don't think that you know about her. Take your shoes off, you'll see why, and I hope that you will consider this. I'll try to get it on the spin the wheel on the next live stream, but here it is any way - ruclips.net/video/hsoGMLWAYJs/видео.html

True
