Oh, great, then I must be a god, since I did it without jumping on a single rope.
Clocked 56 seconds perfect run, I must be god of gods then. Using the rope is way tough if we compare . As it requires accurate & Precise movement of analog stick
GTD: GAMING TILL DEATH So does not using the ropes as you can't spare a second with it. The rope can be hard, but once skilled, you can move across it, without having to do stops like with planks and turtles.
TyTyger 626 if you jump on the ropes and get in the right spot then all you do is use the d-pad and crash will walk straight without falling off then just jump from bridge to bridge. It's really easy but if you use the analog stick then it's hard
I HATE the turtles, I HATE the stupid hogs, I HATE the ppl who walk on ropes because I FALL everytime, and I HATE this level with a BURNING passion!!!

When you jump on the rope you need to use the D-pad to walk, it's 90% of success
@@joselosuck for me it's like 20% And even if I manage to land on the damn thing, I fall at some point
The hogs are cancerous, not only do they make your platforming on small platforms even harder, you can’t even defeat them without Aku
@@joselosuck I spent maybe 5 minutes perfecting the rope jump and now can hit it almost all the time with the analog. The key is to not be scared of falling off, if you feel yourself slipping, jump for a plank, then jump back on again. My plat run on high road is 56.90 after maybe 10 minutes trying.
@@aegiltech I did by analysing where the shadow was on the rope and made sure it was mostly covered on the side I wanted to jump on, got the jump every time.
The High Road is the only time trial I have left. I've been running it all day (literally just over three and a half hours today alone) and can't get any better than 1:17. Finally decided to take a break, and guess what I find in my sub box...

watch my video, i use the rope once, i believe. There are a couple of super long air jumps you can make. The hardest jumps are the initial turtles and the stupid boars pressuring you.
Dylan Dugan I beat it with gold time without using rope jumps and the legit way. it's possible. You can do it.

No way. The turtle's positions wouldn't allow you to get the time without running the ropes.
It took me six hours two days in a row, and then I beat it on my second try the third day. It will just happen. Remember to take breaks so things don't end up broken.

I’m crying ... I finally got it after hours of torture and pulling my hair and punching my sofa like a punching bag I finally got it .. and it’s thanks to this video . This fckin level require skills and versatility and ALOT of PATIENCE . Practice makes perfeft.

I spent 9 hours for platinum in The Lab.I got it yesterday after giving up the day before
The Lab wasn't too bad for me. It only took about an hour and a half for me, but it was still annoying.
+Gavin McLaurin Same. I got my Plat today. Ironically the level that was quickest for me was Slippery Climb
Pro tip: use the d-pad instead of the analog on this level and stay close to the rope before you jump on it, that makes it way easier to control the landing since you just have to tap the left or right d-pad a little to land on the rope.
What makes this relic so infuriating is the fact that Crash 1's levels simply were not designed to be rushed through. It's a very timing and precision focused game, which makes trying to be fast a nightmare.
Omg. After 2 hours of complete hopelessness. Because of your video... I just beat the level. I feel a sense of euphoria I have never felt. Colours seem brighter. Sounds are crisper. I can jump higher and passers by look at me with a knowing smile. They know. They know that I have suffered hardship but come out the other side. A survivor... But I missed 13 boxes.

God, it's so relieving watching the accurate jumps on the rope, you even walked on the rope like it's the easiest thing ever... Amazing controlling skills...i cannot be that accurate, damn it.

THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO!! After trialling all other videos on this level yours was the best! The thing that helped me get gold on this was the jumping last minute on the jumps u did without using turtles. That and just hopping on rope if needed. Dodging the hogs was the worst for me and landing on the right panels after the hogs. Thank u again!

i just want to say thanks for making this video. I've already beaten the level, took me all day yesterday, but this information would have definitely come in handy. I did the time trial without ropes because other videos didnt really explain how to jump accurately onto them, and so the level felt harder for me when trying that method. But i hope this video will help others out there. If you have tips on other obnoxiously hard levels, i'd love to see another guide like this. Just beat the game, now its time to go back for those trials!

Thanks for the help! I ended up doing more rope jumps. They were easier for me than some of the long jumps. Using this guide, it took me about 55 minutes of continuous attempts to get 1:05. I know that’s not perfect, but it’s Gold and that’s all I need. 👌

I FREAKING DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! it took me around 5 thousand attempts, It was gold, 1:12:00... But good enough for the trophies. I'm never playing this level again. Thank you so much my good sir, without your teachings none of this would have been possible.
Finally got it after about 40 minutes. I know that's nothing compared to how hard it was for some people but it was still an enormous challenge. got a time of 1:04:46. Just 15 milliseconds shy of the platinum time goal. i mostly did rope jumps instead of the almost falling jumps and tested fate on those ropes.
Finally got it after watching this, was struggling with the rope jumps but your small jump technique worked really well
Every time I bounce on a turtle, I don't make it far enough. Every time I jump in the ropes, I fall. Every time I try anything I FAAAIIILLL. What is life.
just picked up this game and finally got the relic on this level.... took me nearly 3 hours and the first time I actually completed the level, i got the platinum relic. thank you man. thank you

I did it! after trying for a total of 6+ hours over the course of several days I managed to do it and get the Platinum trophy for this game. Here's my advice:
If you already have the gold in every other level you can do this.
The initial turtles are the most difficult part. If you can get past the turtle that floats in the air after the boards break, you can finish this level.
Find a way that works for you to consistently jump on the ropes but don't rely on it. Whether or not the game allows the player to land on the ropes is somewhat inconsistent, so it helps a lot to find a very consistent method of jumping to the ropes.
If you play for hours everything will start to look the same and you will make silly mistakes. When that happens take a break. If you don't you might develop bad habits.

man the ropes trimmed so much time for me, 5 hours or trail and error and secured the gold relic. Never played the original games so to have the gem and relic on this is satisfying now. Platinum is beyond me so great video.

I tried the rope thing on my own accord and kept falling off, but the way YOU did it made it a lot easier. After seeing this, I got the Gold relic after only a few tries.

Crash Bandicoot - The High Road Platinum Relic (NO ROPE CHALLENGE)
I couldn't bare to allow myself to cheat a trial. On The Lab, I did though. I could only get it by jumping on a computer to the left of the screen, which was part of the sides. Wanted to not touch any area like that. Similar to the dark levels that have sides you can jump on to skip gaps (which I didn't use--did use the Gem path for the one though). Makes me wonder if the dev. cheated with the ropes or did it legitly for the time.

I totally just got the gold relic after spending quite a lot of time studying this video and practising jumping on the rope and then immediately off, because that was pretty difficult for me, at first. I posted my run on my channel and definitely would add it as a video response to this video, if that still was something you could do on youtube. Anyway, I totally have to thank you for this great video, which really helped my nail down the best way to do this. Thank you so, so much!
Guys if you suck at the rope jump like me don't even bother practicing. I just did it regularly (gold) without the rope. It took me all day but it's possible just try doing in parts until you master the beggining. It gets easier in the last part. Good luck to you all!

That advice with only tapping jump slightly to get on them was helpful. It works almost everytime.

Took me 20 minutes to get a time of 56 seconds. Running along the ropes the entire time saves some serious time.
Alternate method: With enough practice, you CAN just run along practically the entire rope. Took me 2 hours, but I managed to get the platinum relic without a guide.
