I remember playing the original versions of Crash 1, 2, and Warped. While I did eventually fully complete them all without a guide (even that 106% in warped), I do have to admit that some things are some serious "think outside of the box" (pun not intended) moments. Was by sheer randomness that I found the Blue Gem and the 2 gems from timers.
Tiny me couldn't believe it when trying not to get any crate actually spawned the blue gem at the end. Not only did I feel like an unbeatable genius, it also pushed me to constantly get myself stuck out of bounce especially in the first game in order to try and find hidden areas and gems.
back in the day jumping on the polar bear a few times and getting all those lives and never been able to repeat it again on your save file so none of your friends believed you
@@babbisp1 a good number of things was simply taking notice. Crash 2 did have a good number of situations where you look at something and go "why is this even here?", like the room full of nitro on the way to the green gem.
that purple gem path in Bee Having was clearly designed to get the gem and die to exit. Completely optional bc it's actually the hardest thing in the game
man i love these game they represent the golden age of video games but they are damm hard 😂 i cannot finish them so frustrating ! many people broke their controler because of these
As someone who plated this game in 2 days after release having grown up playing the original to death it's interesting to see what a new player thinks about it and seeing which things they struggle with.
same here as someone who got all the plats relic on the original warped getting them on the remaster felt so easy (apart from jet ski levels why did they make it so heavy to turn) to me especially now slid spin jumping was so much easier in the remaster what was most fun to me was was actually having to come up with with actual routes to get the plats relics in crash 1 and 2
@@Metalsonic91unfortunately 3 was the only one I didn't have growing up, but I played it later on. In N. Sane I felt that the more realistic jet ski was an odd choice, but growing up on a lake and learning to drive a boat from a young age I got the hang of it really quick.
@@soulvagabond9655 they never changed the relic times so some of the jet ski levels are incredibly hard to get the platinum relics with the heavy controls especially on ski crazed where you have to be super precise at certain parts
I’m trying to 100% the N. Sane Trilogy (No relics, only Gems), and I’m stuck on Crash 2. Do you have any tips for getting all the boxes in Bee-having *without* getting ambushed by the off-screen bees when you need to backtrack?
take your time and you shouldn't really need to back track and if you do hear the bee's spin to hide under ground ( if your on a section that allows it) and they won't touch you
@@Metalsonic91 I managed to get through. What I did is I first went through the Death Route and collected all the Boxes, hit the checkpoint, and then backtracked through the Death Route. This was ultimately the successful run.
bro.... after so many FUCKING YEARS ive realized that there is a pun in N.Gin's name (engine). and yes, im not a native english speaking person, so i deserve a cookie for that XP. also, yes, i know that N stands for Neo, like in Neo Cortex, but even tho... holy shieeeet.
This is what turns me away from crash 2 it’s just too complex all the secrets exits and paths it’s just ridiculous even tho I know how to do it and I’ve got every gem in crash 2 once before but it’s just so unnecessary complex where as crash 1 and 3 are more easily to 100% as in its more straightforward and less mine fuck
You play the whole game moving forwards, backwards, left and right with left stick and up and down with X and O. At jetpack levels it says oh i changed the logic, now you move up and down with left stick and go forward and backward with X and O. What an idiotic choice that is.

I actually had a pretty okay time with this one, probably coz it's my favourite of the trilogy. Only took me about 2 or 3 sessions :)

What's so hard about the jetpack controls?
