The green gem felt the most difficult to get in this version for me, but I think that was due to still getting used to the feel of the remake more than anything. And just some random thoughts... I always wondered why the orange gem wasn't used anymore after Crash 1. I also find it interesting that this game has the only instance of having to use one colored gem (yellow) to get another (purple).
Orange wasn't used since there is one gem per regular warp room. In Crash 2 and 3, there tends to be one gem route per world (except purple in 2, although Night Flight should have had it.) It's a shame, personally the orange one is my favourite, but it does appear in the Crash 2 ending.
Yeah, I can understand they were probably going for a 5 warp room, 5 gems thing. Still, they had no problems doubling up on colored gems in one warp room. The first room in Crash 2 has blue and red, and the third warp room in Crash 3 has red and purple, leaving the last warp room in Crash 2 and the first room in Crash 3 with no colored gem. I agree with you that Night Fight would have been a nice fit for the orange gem in Crash 2. And one of the many death routes in Crash 2 could easily be turned into an orange gem path. I guess in the end it doesn't change much overall, just always wondered why they dropped it.

All bonus round for 3 games?
I was gonna finish the red gem on my 3rd try
Ended up fucking up by missing one box and ended up needing 10 more tries
Feels so devastating
I do not have the Red Gem and am content with the fact that I will die and still never get the Red Gem.
Not having a reset option was the dumbest decison the devs made I swear. Love the game though however.
i got the gem of toxic waste LUCKILY
no, seriously... i was dying so many times trying to get a single colored gem
I came for one question, what gem do you need to 100% Cortex Power?
You’ll need the blue gem to unlock a hidden path
The lost city is the hardest :(
It looks easy but its not
Easy

0:40 that box disappeared, someone know why?
You need to activate a ‘!’ crate when you jump at 0:31, you will then make the crate at 0:40 visible
@@RedPalmTree thank you

For normal players, the gems are impossible to get in Crash Bandicoot...
If you use cheta engine in any way you must get the 3 faces of brio and tawna
